Fiction is definitely an amazing song that has stood the test of time, it isn't a surprise it was chosen as song of the year in 2011. There's also a beautiful orchestra version. BEAST have a great discography in general, they left their company at the end of their contract in 2016 and created their own company and have continued as a group (despite losing a couple of members on the way) until now under the name Highlight. They still perform Fiction too though without the rap as their main rapper left in 2019. It's their 15th anniversary in October 😊

This is a contender for my favorite k-pop song. The groovy bass and electric guitars, the horns, the synths, the drums throughout the song, rhythm changes, and of course the vocals are all perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to say my favorite if it wasn't for the English in the lyrics before the bridge, I'm not a big fan of that.

I agree. The song is good. You can also check their song "Vibrato". Both songs are good. It's sad that their company exploited their body rather than showcased their talent like other girl groups, because I think the more I listen to this song and "Vibrato", the more I like it.

Whole plot of MV and lyrics is 'a girl realizes her own charm and sets the stage to make the boy her own' kinda thing. - "Red book" in Korean is subtle(?) expression for the book for adults. That's why after she read it, she shows some kind of embarrassment a few scenes later. - Flowery dresses are the symbols for their blooming glamour. - For butterflies, I only guess it's a imaginary fantasy and become real at the party at last.

You should definitely do some album reactions. I'm not sure how many of their b-sides you've heard but they run the gamut of genres. Everything from EDM like In the Frozen to R&B, Trap, Classic Rock, Reggae, and Jazz and much more. Despite not being a huge fan of some of those genres I've yet to find a track of theirs that I'll skip. It's all executed so well that it's almost impossible to not enjoy it.

Their composers are Leez and Ollounder, and they really know their craft. This is one of the more EDM heavy b-sides, the other one is Silent Night.

Really this video does not need the subtitles, there is little dialog and what there is can be easily sussed out through the context. I mean I speak a little Korean but when I first saw this the only words I understood were "Dad" in the very beginning, and "It was you" when she was pointing the gun at him. I still followed the rest of the story line.

Hey fellow k-pop stans. This is Aaron but communicating from my other account. Thanks for all the views, but this channel is over. It ended on a band I like, but it wasn't planned that way. I had my e-mail hacked back in February - China won. I lost access to this channel, another channel and my music review blog. This is why I've never responded to any comments, after always doing so, and why there's no 2022 music. The videos you've seen since then were all done previously in massive recording sessions that I put in the queue. Now the queue has ended and this channel is over. I won't be rebooting the channel, but I want to say its been a great road of discovery and thank you to all who watched, liked, commented (even the bad comments were always welcomed) and those I briefly connected with. I still listen to K-Pop, but not making new vids of music. Also, I really enjoy the new Dreamcatcher and Billie's RING ma Bell, but sad Pixy lost a member.

In their latest album Forever1, the lines are actually very equally spread. Over the course of the 15 years though, the "main" and "lead" vocalists did get the most lines (Main: Taeyeon, Jessica; Lead: Tiffany, Seohyun, Sunny).

"Voodoo Doll" is a great example of why VIXX are called the Kings of Concept. They are known for their story based MVs with choreography that is designed to be a part of the story. The song is called "Voodoo Doll," so the girl is using voodoo to control the members with a voodoo doll. That is how the voodoo doll works -- you make a voodoo doll with an enemy or person you want to take control of or revenge on in mind, and after putting a voodoo spell on it, it is now linked to that person, so everything you do to the voodoo doll that person will feel or react to. It's a way to make a puppet out of a person and force them to do and feel everything you want. In the MV, the girl is obviously crazy and unwilling to let N go, so he is forced to endure the pain and suffering she puts him through. He tried to get away but, in the end her spell was too powerful and she pulled him back in. She is a sadist who enjoys inflicting pain on people and it give her pleasure and makes her happy. The whole story is about being trapped in a toxic relationship. The choreography is all about being voodoo dolls, so the moves are supposed to look like they are the dolls being controlled by the girl and the giant pin is the needle that she keeps poking into the voodoo doll to inflict pain on them. There is also a "clean" version of VIXX's "Voodoo Doll." The original version was rated 17+, which meant they couldn't show it on Korean TV, so they had to edit the footage to take out all the gruesome and violent images. When they shot this MV their youngest member, Hyuk, wasn't even old enough to watch the video, so he couldn't even see the final footage without special permission until he was of age. And they had to change the choreography for their live comeback stage performances as well because the parts where they pretend to stab each other were too gruesome for live TV as well. So if you like the song and want to watch the MV again without all the blood, you can watch the clean version. However, they did have to cut a lot of the choreography, so it feels like it's missing something and it's harder to follow the storyline. Fun fact: The main character in this MV was N, the leader of VIXX. :D

The thing about Taemin when it comes to his dancing is that the harder the choreography the better. If the choreography is too easy he will send the choreographer back to work to make it harder. If you check out his dance practice vid for the song ace you will see some of his practice with choreographer Ian Eastwood. He sent the man back more than once because the dance was too easy. Eventually he got what he wanted to the point that the choreographer couldn't keep up with him. If the choreography looks hard... Then it's easy to learn. If it looks easy? It's really hard as hell to learn That's how he works. He takes part in everything with his mps concepts and dances

The guy you said had movie looks is Minho he is the member who has done the most acting in k drama though they all except Jonghyun did some k drama Leader Onew - descendants of the sun Key - drinking solo, the guardians, bleak night. These are some of his though can't remember the others. Taemin - final life was his only Japanese drama you can find it listed on Netflix. Minho. Fun facts shinee and Taemin always song LIVE they do not lip sync. They would and still do train up to 6 hrs a day with regards choreography. Not so much singing but there too they would train up to 6 hrs especially the late Jonghyun. Key and Taemin are the fastest to learn dance choreography. Key is also known as the copy machine for any dance choreography make it female. He knows them all. Taemin is known as the idols idol. He hates all insects and bugs. He is a self taught dancer though he sought professional lessons later on and was taught to sing by his members leader Onew and the late Jonghyun before seeking professional lessons later on. Their live concerts and singing is better than their recorded so much so they are known as cdeaters. They are an older group known as the Kings of Concepts - every comeback and stage has it's own story or theme that they commit to 100% from MV to outfits to everything. This song is their first win way back in 2013 and it's about a toxic relationship in which the singer is being toyed with by his love. It was such a shocking video that they actually released two versions - a clean one that is just them dancing and this one. They also had to change the choreo for their live stages by taking out the stabbing parts. They have a lot of other songs and they tend towards the darker side of kpop with such hits as HYDE & G.R. 8 U (Dr Jekyl & Mr. Hyde), Scentist (Perfume: Story of a Murderer), On&On (vampires), Eternity (time loop), Error (Cyborgs), The Conception trilogy - Dynamite, Fantasy, The Closer (Greek gods/Greek tragedy). Two of the members have a subunit VIXX LR that deal with inner voice vs. outer appearance, and they have some solo works as well through Leo and Ravi. The group as a whole are currently on hiatus due to the members having their military services so there's not any group releases the past couple of years.

Mamamoo, the vocal queens and live performers of kpop. All the praise they receive is well deserved and they are highly respected by idols and artists. I highly recommend reacting to their Killing Voice With Perfect Harmony Medley which gives you a good selection of their songs and a variety of genres, all sung live and with no breaks. It's 15 minutes of pure aural heaven.

Apink's fanbase is very friendly, I'm shocked the comments you received about their last song were so negative and attacked you because of your opinion. Apink are great vocalists and have been together for 11 years, through some very bad times and good times. I like Apink but I guess they just aren't for you and that's ok.
