i think a factor that vastly contributes to run devil run feeling cinematic and "like it could fill a stadium", like you said, is snsd's trademark of chant-y choruses, which is that most if not all title tracks are sung by all members, all together. it really adds to that expansive, choir-like/acapella feel, and it is only enhanced by the great songs it carries. there truly is no one like snsd ♡
"Oh" and "Run Devil Run" really solidified Soshi's place as the nation's girl group -- they weren't just a one hit wonder with "Gee." They showed that girl groups can compete head on with boy groups,I remember with "Oh!" at that time as the second most sold album, and the repackaged "Run Devil Run", finishing as the fourth most sold album.
About can also mean "LYING HEART" that is why. The storyline of the video is about a man cheating thus having such a lying heart. And we all know that Lions love to deceive their prey,In addition Fashion-wise, Lion Heart music video . They were all decked out in so much designer stuff like Versace, Dolce and Gabbana, etc. It's like they bought the whole collections at the time. I wanted to buy all of their clothes because I loved what they were all wearing😄
BTW: 'Run Devil Run' MV has a "story version" MV that for some reason is less popular than this bare performance version. They are pretty much the same but the story ver has bits and pieces from that room where their Oh! And RDR personas meet.

I was so hyped for RDR because I wasn't very much into the Oh! concept. It's just so empowering and not the usual songs about oppa and love so when this finally came out I lost my shit XD

22:28 Speaking of Red Velvet, Lion Heart is probably one of their favorite SNSD song since they have danced to it multiple times in different occasions. In fact during their Dumb Dumb promotion, it was coincidentally battled with Lion Heart in Music Bank, and although RV lost they still celebrated SNSD's win by covering for SNSD's encore performance.

I can't watch or hear run devil run and not remember Taeyeon's devil's cry - I just started listening to girls generation and watched their japanese concert, and OMG - devil's cry, taeyeon I couldn't believe what I saw and heard.

I remember here in Philippines, Run Devil Run is a rival at no. 1 spot in charts with Baby by Justin Bieber. JB was really huge back then but RDR ended JB #1 streak. During the times JB was really huge and kpop wasnt. However RDR was really a bomb bop!

I remember when lion heart is fcking famous our country and choreo is still in my mind I was actually or literally a kids but still knew the song and the choreo lol
I was already middle-aged before I discovered SNSD, but I was immediately a fan, and looked up everything by them that I had missed, and never missed anything by them again. I wondered what else I had missed in k-pop and branched out from there, but SNSD has remained number one.
