    Also, if you long press the top left button you get to the night vision screen in one step to toggle on or off.

    @Airman...probably you figured it out on your own by now, press and hold the upper left lightning button and you will enter directly a multiple option menu where you can switch the NVG-mode on/off as well, instead of going through the systems menu which takes time.

      Swen,,I have a question to you,,,the NIGHT VISION MODE of GARMIN TACTIX BRAVO does have a feature like GESTURES that if you rotate or twist your wrist with your watch toward your body that make automatically TURN ON or OPEN the NIGHT VISION MODE even no need to push any botton on watch?,,

      @@damingdaan4147 .....the Bravo model doesn’t have this kind of feature. I do not know if the Charlie or Delta has a set-up to do so, but will check it out soon and get back to you on that one.

    Slightly off topic. How do you like the ENVG compared to the PVS-14? I understand the ENVG is fusion device combining Thermal Imaging and Image Intensification it just looks bulkier. Thanks

    I think what's more important about this is the fact that the backlight won't turn on... Also never seen so many thumbs up in one video in my entire life.

    Is it an IR backlight or just very dim white?

    • @PreparedAirman

      I'm not 100% sure but I would guess its a very dim white light.

      Definitely a dim light.
      I had the Charlie and if you let your eyes acclimatise you can see the watch face light up in the dark

    You can turn night vision mode on and off faster by pushing and holding the power button.

    I wonder when the public will wake up to how they are being fed marketing tactics (excuse the pun). Stealth mode, a kill switch, minimise light reflection for operating with night vision goggles, high altitude parachute release points.. hahaha! I guess if all the people in the world who actually have opportunities to use these functions suddenly decide to dump their current Casio and buy this.. then Garmin should sell at least 500 watches worldwide! And preppers are included too!

      Well, thats for I just got the Instinct 2 normal version. Since tactical version its more expensive and the functions of "tactical" are not going to use.
      Same with Solar, why Solar on a charge smartwatch that has 30 days +- battery life lol, who is going to be out of electricity for more than 2 or 3 days, and you have 30 days without Solar.

    Really debating between this and the Charlie. Any thoughts? Do you own both or have you had hands on with Charlie?

    • @PreparedAirman
      @PreparedAirman  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      A co-worker of mine has a Charlie but i did alot of research between 4 different garmins 3HR, Tactix Bravo, Tactix Charlie and the 5X (they are all pretty close to doing the same thing)The difference between the Bravo and Charlie is mild. Same strap, crystal, case and button arrangement. But they upgraded the resolution of the screen, the memory amount(16gb), updated the software and they put a Heart rate monitor in the Charlie. The Bravo was $400 and the Charlie was $750. The only major downside of the Bravo for me is there's no heart rate monitor on it.. so I chose off of price and priority for my life style.

      @@PreparedAirman Are okay. If you watch Garand Thumb video on Milsim West, he talked about being on nvg and being able to see enemy positions, hundreds of meters away just from their smart watch screen turning on. Btw you should definitely do a video on your ENVG. There isn't many video about them.
