A simple Visual Basic program for Excel to measure and plot the IV curve of a diode. The program sets up the E3631A DC power supply to output a voltage then it measures the current. The program then increments the voltage and measures the new current which is repeated. Once all of the data is collect the IV curve is plotted in Excel. A current limit can also be set, if the current limit is meet the power supply switches from a constant voltage supply to a constant current source.
