I feel like this guy's playstyle is totally what Skyrim was aiming for. He's constantly using shouts. In my playthroughs I used them only when I remember they existed for like 5 minutes, then I went back to just standard combat.
Evil Paragon 4 well I mean it can’t be exactly what they’re aiming for because there’s normally a cool down, he’s using mods nothing wrong with mods after a while of playing Skyrim mods make it fun
I use a lot of the Flame Breathe. Staggers enemy, fire damage to health plus bonus damage if target is already on fire, attacks multiple targets, makes you feel like a dragon, and just overall my favorite shout. Although of course, if I could cast it more frequently, it would be better, but it appears that our mute character reserves his actual speaking voice for temporary power.
Shouts were the worst most gimmicky aspect of the game. Implementation was poor, and the only time I used them was for when plot told me I had to OR toggling collision and turning Lydia into Team Rocket from the top of a tall tower.
the implementation wasn't horrible... how much you use shouts can be dependent on the build...for my 1h builds ice form and slow time can be quite useful if you have to fight multiple casters or higher lvl enemies. it all comes down to preffrence of play.
Actually, in boethea(idk how to spell her name but she gives you the ebony mail) you can ask her if shes some kind of god, at which point shr tells you that deadric princes are above gods

@@heroicnerd6404 this isn't really lore friendly. Hermaeus Mora is a powerful deity, and should be able to take down the two dragonborn with his own aspect. It took the destruction of the Amulet of Kings to defeat an aspect of a Daedra. Hermaeus Mora + his minions should be far beyond this lore wise.

MrFantocan there is a glitch where if u trade 5 amulets of talos to a follower then talk to them whilst transforming into a vampire lord/ werewolf u can have unlimited shout cooldown as u equip all five at once giving u 100% cdr
@@miketheknife813 death alternative, your money or your life (I think) lets you spend filled black soul gems or dragon souls to avoid death. (The mod adds a system where if you fall to 0hp, you fall to your knees like a immortal npc, and only die if you take more damage after that, but if you survive a few seconds, you stand back up with a little up. However, when you fall to 0hp, you can spend a soul to stand right back up without the cooldown.
@@SMon42 Actually, the mod I use made me fully immortal, but only if I have Dragon Souls, after a few seconds, I get bac up at full health, similar to how Mirrak absorbs dragons to regain his health. The fight became more even, especially with the Dragon form shout completed.

when you think of it. Miraak's move that made him fall into disgrace was betraying the dragons and dragon priests. An order that was about obeying to dragons against humans, in an age where dragons treated humans as slaves and sometimes massacred them. Is it really evil?
Just bc Miraak left one evil and joined another evil doesn’t make him less evil. If you didn’t stop him he would have taken over the world. That’s kinda evil.
The thing that qualifies him as evil is motive. If Miraak had betrayed the dragons in an attempt to free mortals from their yoke, he would be a hero on par with St. Alessia. But he betrayed the dragons because he wanted that power for himself. He couldn’t give less of a fig about humans, elves, or beastfolk. He was just power-hungry. Remember that even as a Dragon Priest, Vahlok the Jailor is remembered as a hero by humanity for defeating Miraak.
No it wasn't evil tht he rebelled against the dragons. But being trapped with hermaeous mora and apocrypha probably corrupted his mind made him "evil".

I had an idea for a Skyrim Fanfiction. In that story, there are multiple Dragonborn, and Miraak is genuinely quite respectful towards them, only trying to kill them because he honestly believes it’s the only way he can leave Apocrypha and go HOME again. Most of the Dragonborn in my proposed story have many people they can call friends, allies and loved ones. Miraak can barely remember his former friends and traveling companions, so long ago was he snatched by Hermaeus Mora, and they are all dead by the time of the Civil War. The other Dragonborn defeat him in a duel, and convince him to work with them rather than fight. Miraak then shoves one of them aside, so he is impaled by Hermaeus Mora instead. They work together to defeat and push back Mora’s entire army, then, with the aid of multiple other Daedric Princes, successfully sever Hermaeus Mora’s link to Mundus, ensuring that he will likely never contact the human world again, and if he does, it won’t be for a VERY long time. At last Miraak is able to return to his old world, take off that accursed mask of his, and positively weeps at the sight of his first sunrise in centuries. The First Dragonborn dies not long after, at peace and surrounded by those he is honored to call...his friends.
I love this ending. It feels like this is how it should have went, and I love how you did the glitch so you have no time between shouts. I feel like certain parts of the game (like this fight) should be changed so the time between shouts are reduced or zero, so it really feels like two dragonborn are truly fighting to the death
Finally, the Dragonborn fights like a Dovahkiin should. Those stupid cooldowns on basic shouts kind of ruined the awesome factor of being Dragonborn for me.
That would be an awesome alt end for Miraak though. Save the very first Dragon Born. The First and The Last work together to defeat the Deadric Prince, Herma-Mora.
No one can defeat hermaeus mora. You cant really even fight him because even if you kill his body its a daedric prince and he has massive amount of power stored in the metaphysical realm
I personally think that it is awsome and kinda poetic, The first and the Last dragonborn fighting side by side against a Daedric lord... Bethesda realy could have made this Official, Having freeing Miraak and escaping the will of having the dragonborn be a slave to Herma Mora in Miraak's place, and lore wise he is... Let me just bring back a example from Fallout New Vegas it gave you the option to convince Ulysses and fight along side him instead of killing him. They could have made this a optional thing for the DLC Dragonborn instead of making it a one way thing.

Dragonborn: smiles and draws weapon All of a sudden, someone else uses Dragon rend, sending Alduin to the ground. Miraak: Steps from seemingly no where. "I apologizes for being so late, fellow Dragonborn. I was...busy relearning some shouts." Alduin: "Curses! What is this!? Whom are you!?" DB/Miraak: "We are Dragonborn...and your time has come, dragon!" Both use Dragon Aspect full power. Proceed with epic yet severely one sided battle.
*Fun Fact:* This mod was supposed to be in the official DLC where you save Miraak and fight Herma-Mora, it was later removed (but still in the game file) because it could cause a lot of future story conflict. Like the others who chose to kill Miraak and the others who didn't.

This mod reminds me of the Lonesome Road DLC in Fallout New Vegas, where if you play your cards right, you can team up with Ulysses instead of fighting him and you both fight a bunch of marked men and other enemies.
Interesting concept that would have mad a kewl alternate ending but being realistic if you were both going to piss off a daedric lord in his own realm I have a feeling he'd personally step in.
I find it fun to think of ways to abuse and outright defy the will of the daedric lords. Obviously, it's quite hard to do, given that they are gods, but everything has a weakness, and nothing has infinite reach. The killing of jyggalag, the conversion of Azura's Star, the defeat of Mehrunes Dagon, and others are all examples of that it CAN be done. Of course, a mortal attacking a Daedra within their own realm is suicide, Dragonborn or not.
It is suggested that Herma-Mora actually could not kill the Dragonborn and Miraak. Someone posted this on another video: "He obviously knew Miraak was trying to escape. If he was going to kill him anyway, why wait until you showed up? What purpose did Miraak serve that he kept him around to fight you? What if, and this just occurred to me, the Dragonborn's soul can never really die? Like dragons. People can kill dragons but they were revived by Alduin. That's why the Dragonborn is such a big deal. Because he can kill a dragon permanently. So what if Hermaus Mora could have killed Miraak, but not truly, since he had the soul of a dragon? And he needed you to fight him to make sure he truly died, since only the Dragonborn can destroy a dragon soul." Not only that, but with the Dragonborn fighting Miraak, Herma-Mora got the added bonus of a new Dragonborn servant.
Andrew Martin Due to him being weakened from his fight with the Dragonborn. 'Tis only speculation and theorizing, of course. But you were standing there, at that fight. You absorbed Miraak's soul. Herma can't do that. He wouldn't have truly killed Miraak. The only reason Miraak died was because Herma-Mora needed you to absorb Miraak's soul.

@@zeroxdaknightz3276 Great thing, other than trying to use it for achievement, or having a "joy ride" in a dragon, the shout is most likelly wasted dragon souls because you need to spend souls on it to beat the dlc. The shout description even says that It's supposed to allow controlling animals and people, but It doesn't, the only use actually only comes when you can control Dragons. The dragon invoking shout from Dawnguard is more useful than Mind Controlling shout.

I believe it was once declared that a dragonborn at the height of their power can match roughly half of a daedric prince's might. So two dragonborns, like the Dovahkin and Miraak should be able to face down Hermaeus Mora's full power.
That’s what I was thinking. Miraak and The Last Dragonborn are arguably the two strongest Dragonborn in history, and considering how powerful lesser Dragonborn have been, the two combined would have been on par with a Daedric Prince. Or maybe they’d be like the Four who are One from the Elric Saga, where they act as prisms for one another

I always use this mod, not only is the final stand amazing, but both Miraak and his 2 cultists are really well-made companions and the later attempts of Hermaeus Mora to assassinate you are hilarious.
Ever since Morrowind, I've thought the idea of doing a series of quests (or an entire game) to take down each of the Daedric Princes would be amazing. Think about it...working your way from a small mortal to a psuedo-god (or full blown God)? That shit would be amazing. I know Daedra, technically, can't die...but they can be sent to the void, their souls can at least. Imagine an entire game where you, the player, follow four of the six "Walking Ways" in an attempt to attain CHIM (the fifth). Before that power can be achieved, the Princes plot to offer the player the power of a Daedric Prince and his own Plane of Oblivion to stop that from happening (as only those with that power could defeat the Daedra in their own Planes). The story would end with the player either defeating all the Princes and achieving CHIM or accepting their deal and becoming the Daedric Prince of Fate. Sounds amazing right? Right? Yeah...it does.

Hermaeus Mora's voice is definitely the mod creators voice acting. It's noticeably different but it fits the character well. I honestly have to hand it to these people, they did great.

Had it not been for Mirrak also wanting to kill you and enslave Solstheim, he would have just been a man who wanted to be the master of his own fate. He would have been the good guy in this story. Hermaous Mora himself could have been the main villain, but I guess you can't really beat the daedric prince of fate.
Neeehh, I dunno about that. Mora was almost like an outside force in this story, or a force of nature.The only reason he's really involved is because Miraak is using him to further his own goals. Which was a stupid and arrogant decision brought about by his power craze, but I think that's kind of the point.
I'm sorta eh about redeeming Miraak, but it does feel kinda stupid that in order to even get to him you have to enact the exact same stupid decision of allying with a Daedric Lord that he made in the first place.
I wish I had known about this mod before finishing Dragonborn yesterday, I really hated the feeling Hermaeus Mora had toyed with me and manipulated into doing his bidding, joining Miraak against him would have been great.

i mean martin was a dragon born and he turned into akatosh and became more powerful than any deadric prince, so two of the most powerful dragonborn of all time might have been able to rustle something up.

Seeing how he needed the dragonborn to defeat and, more importantly, replace him tells me he might not be able to defeat the both of you. Miraak was defeated by another dragon priest, but has since been growing stronger. And he knows the secrets of Herma Mora. The player has defeated every single dragon priest, and a God. So I think the odds are in your favor.
@@martijnbakker1277 It wasn't because he could not do it This was all a plan to get the last dragonborn on Mora's side Since Miraak was bitching about becoming a real boy again He bassicly made sure the last would go to the island, meet Miraak, absorb knowledge of Apocrypha and kill Miraak Since only the main game quest and DLC quests really are "canon" The only Deadric Prince that has Dovakhiin soul is Hermeaus Mora And this is better for the next games Now that Dovakhiin is with HM, it will make sure that Bethesda won't have any problems trying to explain what happened with him And it gives us the chance of meeting him in Elder's Scrolls 6

@@miketheknife813 death alternative, your money or your life (I think) lets you spend filled black soul gems or dragon souls to avoid death. (The mod adds a system where if you fall to 0hp, you fall to your knees like a immortal npc, and only die if you take more damage after that, but if you survive a few seconds, you stand back up with a little up. However, when you fall to 0hp, you can spend a soul to stand right back up without the cooldown.
@@SMon42 Actually, the mod I use made me fully immortal, but only if I have Dragon Souls, after a few seconds, I get bac up at full health, similar to how Mirrak absorbs dragons to regain his health.
The fight became more even, especially with the Dragon form shout completed.

The thing that qualifies him as evil is motive. If Miraak had betrayed the dragons in an attempt to free mortals from their yoke, he would be a hero on par with St. Alessia. But he betrayed the dragons because he wanted that power for himself. He couldn’t give less of a fig about humans, elves, or beastfolk. He was just power-hungry. Remember that even as a Dragon Priest, Vahlok the Jailor is remembered as a hero by humanity for defeating Miraak.
No it wasn't evil tht he rebelled against the dragons. But being trapped with hermaeous mora and apocrypha probably corrupted his mind made him "evil".

I had an idea for a Skyrim Fanfiction. In that story, there are multiple Dragonborn, and Miraak is genuinely quite respectful towards them, only trying to kill them because he honestly believes it’s the only way he can leave Apocrypha and go HOME again. Most of the Dragonborn in my proposed story have many people they can call friends, allies and loved ones. Miraak can barely remember his former friends and traveling companions, so long ago was he snatched by Hermaeus Mora, and they are all dead by the time of the Civil War.
The other Dragonborn defeat him in a duel, and convince him to work with them rather than fight. Miraak then shoves one of them aside, so he is impaled by Hermaeus Mora instead. They work together to defeat and push back Mora’s entire army, then, with the aid of multiple other Daedric Princes, successfully sever Hermaeus Mora’s link to Mundus, ensuring that he will likely never contact the human world again, and if he does, it won’t be for a VERY long time.
At last Miraak is able to return to his old world, take off that accursed mask of his, and positively weeps at the sight of his first sunrise in centuries. The First Dragonborn dies not long after, at peace and surrounded by those he is honored to call...his friends.

I love this ending. It feels like this is how it should have went, and I love how you did the glitch so you have no time between shouts. I feel like certain parts of the game (like this fight) should be changed so the time between shouts are reduced or zero, so it really feels like two dragonborn are truly fighting to the death

They're using mods, so it's possible they just used a mod that lets you disenchant the divine amulets, and got 100% shout cooldown that way.

I personally think that it is awsome and kinda poetic, The first and the Last dragonborn fighting side by side against a Daedric lord... Bethesda realy could have made this Official, Having freeing Miraak and escaping the will of having the dragonborn be a slave to Herma Mora in Miraak's place, and lore wise he is... Let me just bring back a example from Fallout New Vegas it gave you the option to convince Ulysses and fight along side him instead of killing him. They could have made this a optional thing for the DLC Dragonborn instead of making it a one way thing.

This mod reminds me of the Lonesome Road DLC in Fallout New Vegas, where if you play your cards right, you can team up with Ulysses instead of fighting him and you both fight a bunch of marked men and other enemies.

Interesting concept that would have mad a kewl alternate ending but being realistic if you were both going to piss off a daedric lord in his own realm I have a feeling he'd personally step in.
I find it fun to think of ways to abuse and outright defy the will of the daedric lords. Obviously, it's quite hard to do, given that they are gods, but everything has a weakness, and nothing has infinite reach. The killing of jyggalag, the conversion of Azura's Star, the defeat of Mehrunes Dagon, and others are all examples of that it CAN be done. Of course, a mortal attacking a Daedra within their own realm is suicide, Dragonborn or not.
It is suggested that Herma-Mora actually could not kill the Dragonborn and Miraak. Someone posted this on another video: "He obviously knew Miraak was trying to escape. If he was going to kill him anyway, why wait until you showed up? What purpose did Miraak serve that he kept him around to fight you? What if, and this just occurred to me, the Dragonborn's soul can never really die? Like dragons. People can kill dragons but they were revived by Alduin. That's why the Dragonborn is such a big deal. Because he can kill a dragon permanently. So what if Hermaus Mora could have killed Miraak, but not truly, since he had the soul of a dragon? And he needed you to fight him to make sure he truly died, since only the Dragonborn can destroy a dragon soul." Not only that, but with the Dragonborn fighting Miraak, Herma-Mora got the added bonus of a new Dragonborn servant.

Jack French ***** based on what the two of you said i'd guess bethesda made a lore based decision. from what i can see the only reason bethesda would take out a decision to go against herma mora was to solidify canon with the dragonborn being a servant/champion of herma mora. what im saying is if they wanted the dragonborn to oppose herma mora as a ending they would have left it. it seems bethesda decided on a dark ending where the dragonborn will turn out no deifferent or even worse then miraak. but we'll just have to see how things turn out in elder scrolls 6. i cant say any shit for sure and that goes for everyone except bethesda /:

@@zeroxdaknightz3276 Great thing, other than trying to use it for achievement, or having a "joy ride" in a dragon, the shout is most likelly wasted dragon souls because you need to spend souls on it to beat the dlc.
The shout description even says that It's supposed to allow controlling animals and people, but It doesn't, the only use actually only comes when you can control Dragons.
The dragon invoking shout from Dawnguard is more useful than Mind Controlling shout.

It doesn’t “enable” an alternate ending, it creates one. Suggesting the ending was “removed” or “enabled” means that they simply activated hidden or removed content from the vanilla game rather than creating it themselves. They simply repurposed voice files and stuff

I believe it was once declared that a dragonborn at the height of their power can match roughly half of a daedric prince's might. So two dragonborns, like the Dovahkin and Miraak should be able to face down Hermaeus Mora's full power.

Ever since Morrowind, I've thought the idea of doing a series of quests (or an entire game) to take down each of the Daedric Princes would be amazing. Think about it...working your way from a small mortal to a psuedo-god (or full blown God)? That shit would be amazing.
I know Daedra, technically, can't die...but they can be sent to the void, their souls can at least. Imagine an entire game where you, the player, follow four of the six "Walking Ways" in an attempt to attain CHIM (the fifth). Before that power can be achieved, the Princes plot to offer the player the power of a Daedric Prince and his own Plane of Oblivion to stop that from happening (as only those with that power could defeat the Daedra in their own Planes). The story would end with the player either defeating all the Princes and achieving CHIM or accepting their deal and becoming the Daedric Prince of Fate.

Cmolnar Productions Even if they did, they pieced it together really well. It flows great, even if it's from other clips. I was just thinking it was edited new voice acting because some things seemed very specific to the situation.
Hermaeus Mora's voice is definitely the mod creators voice acting. It's noticeably different but it fits the character well. I honestly have to hand it to these people, they did great.

Had it not been for Mirrak also wanting to kill you and enslave Solstheim, he would have just been a man who wanted to be the master of his own fate. He would have been the good guy in this story. Hermaous Mora himself could have been the main villain, but I guess you can't really beat the daedric prince of fate.
he was a dragonborn in merithic era who slaughtered dozens of dragons and was defeated by a dragon priest, hes not exactly a normal guy.
Neeehh, I dunno about that. Mora was almost like an outside force in this story, or a force of nature.The only reason he's really involved is because Miraak is using him to further his own goals. Which was a stupid and arrogant decision brought about by his power craze, but I think that's kind of the point.
I'm sorta eh about redeeming Miraak, but it does feel kinda stupid that in order to even get to him you have to enact the exact same stupid decision of allying with a Daedric Lord that he made in the first place.

I wish I had known about this mod before finishing Dragonborn yesterday, I really hated the feeling Hermaeus Mora had toyed with me and manipulated into doing his bidding, joining Miraak against him would have been great.

If you download the mod he can be your companion,You just have to find a bed after you finished the dlc and then you will get a quest to meet up with him and then he will become your companion

Yes, it is a DLC, but you can't save Miraak in the base game. A mod used in this video apparently lets you save him.

@@genericwhitemale9566 Yeah but I mean in one of the games before it was explained that the player has achieved chim and that explains the game mechanics of saving and loading. One who has achieved chim can be more powerful than a daedric prince.
i mean martin was a dragon born and he turned into akatosh and became more powerful than any deadric prince, so two of the most powerful dragonborn of all time might have been able to rustle something up.

Miraak was defeated by another dragon priest, but has since been growing stronger. And he knows the secrets of Herma Mora.
The player has defeated every single dragon priest, and a God.
So I think the odds are in your favor.

This was all a plan to get the last dragonborn on Mora's side
Since Miraak was bitching about becoming a real boy again
He bassicly made sure the last would go to the island, meet Miraak, absorb knowledge of Apocrypha and kill Miraak
Since only the main game quest and DLC quests really are "canon"
The only Deadric Prince that has Dovakhiin soul is Hermeaus Mora
And this is better for the next games
Now that Dovakhiin is with HM, it will make sure that Bethesda won't have any problems trying to explain what happened with him
And it gives us the chance of meeting him in Elder's Scrolls 6
