That’s a sweet CM400 scrambler. Wish I had the skills and ability to build something like that. My back isn’t capable of all the leaning over to work on that level. I enjoyed the vids on it though. It sounds great and looks like it runs great too. Awesome!
Thanks! I also totally understand the back issue. I usually can only work on these bikes for an hour or 2 at a time. I don't have a lift, so the leaning over is definitely rough.
@@jcurtiscustoms Haha seems like the carb issue is universal, im lacking top end power on mine. Yeah ive built tons, so this would be fairly okay on my part🤔 How is it to drive compared to stock? i forgot if you answered this in the video
hey i got the same pipes your running, id you cut off the mid muffler/silencer? it crosses between the two pipes w a big wide chamber, idk if its the same as the 400 m ine s the 450 but simlar bikes mostly
I did remove the pre-chamber, yes. It should just come out after you remove a couple of bolts. It might require some wiggling to get passed other connections, but it will come out eventually.
Thanks! I actually played around with jetting a bit thinking I would need to go richer, but the stock jetting actually worked the best out of all of the options I tried.
Hey, Jeremy, I just bought a 1981 CM400A two hours ago. Can you look at your tires (Bridgestone Battlax 16" & 18") and see if they say 120/90 - 16 and 100/90- 18 Thank You. I want to order them ASAP
Exact products used on this build can be found at the link below. Scroll to the bottom and the tire sizes etc. will be there. jc-custom.com/motorcycles/icarus-1980-honda-cm400-scrambler/

Very sweet, ive got a CB400N and its the same engine and frame as this bike, kinda different looking though. Tempted to do the same
Thanks! I would say if you have the knowledge / desire to learn, it's totally worth it. Love this bike (when I have the carbs working ugh).

Hey Jeremy, love it! Can I ask what you did for jetting for the exhaust?

Thanks Jeremy! Going to do something similar to mine. Thanks for the inspiration!
@@mannsworld9424 Heck yeah! Be sure to share it when you are done!
what exhaust is on it? sounds great!
These are what I used. It certainly does sound good, but be aware, it's loud AF! lol. amzn.to/47MRHib
