I do understand that fighting other pirates is part of the game and that’s fine! But there’s a few discussions I’d like to make. I feel like this game could’ve been peak if the developers didn’t force people to do PVP, yall might say “um, no…they have safer seas, just go do that” well yes, they have safer seas, but they limit almost everything, they limit events, pve and gain way less money than you’d get playing online. Safer seas is genuinely so ass it’s literally only good if you’re really new to the game and want to understand the mechanics and how to do missions, other than that, you receive almost nothing and you can’t do cool PVE events. I understand those who struggle to grind money and customize their ship and character cause the game barely rewards them if they played in safer seas, and that’s where my argument starts, the game forces people to play online cause you can do more stuff and get way more money, it almost punishes you if you played in Safer seas lol. People who simply are passive and just want to enjoy the game will be met up with toxic players. Honestly this game could’ve been balanced if the devs gave you a decent amount of rewards and events (not all events, but some) in Safer seas, BUT, if you really want a challenge and get DOUBLE the money, then that’s where they should’ve increased the money and harder events for Online sea of thieves. I do love this game a lot but I feel like newer pirates get dismotivated when they encounter toxic players their first time around and they simply just want to mind their business and grind some coins :( But overall, I do like watching your videos and how great you are with PVP!
The problem is that the player base is already really small, and what you're proposing would likely split the player base; causing a rough estimate of 30-40% to go to PvE servers. When these players leave, people who want PvP or just player interaction would also begin to leave the game as the servers are less alive, and the change would just cause rare to lose a huge chunk of their players. That is why they'll never make pure PvE servers.

I get why they're annoyed, the game simply is not fun in any capacity when the only PvP is against people with unbelievable amounts of time into the game. That's the issue with the whole "safer seas" argument. SoT is at the point where the only people who want to do PvP have so much experience to the point that newer people are honestly forced into safer seas to enjoy the game at all. A few years ago it was fun to engage in PvP, people weren't as godlike and it was actually enjoyable and you could have "good games" even if you lost.

Essentially what you are saying is that in order to get to the fun you need to grind through "Weeks of dedicating your sot hours to hourglass" to reach the fun. That is how new players quickly leave the game and is the main reason why. It isn't something they should honestly have to do in order to find the fun. Look at other games, newer players can get right into the PvP experience and feel great doing it because it's fun even if they get steamrolled. I cannot see that happening with SoT seeing how it's essentially just muscle memory reactions instead of critical thinking which the vast majority of players possess while you do not. And if it genuinely takes "Weeks of dedicating" then fuck that. You cannot blame newer players for getting pissed off with a PvP experience which is fun for the day 1 sweats but not those who are new.
Your approach may work for kids who go to school and have that time on their hand, but for SoT which's playerbase is mostly adult people who work. Come on... It's not reasonable whatsoever.
Its sad that almost every SOT player is Toxic, Still you guys are nice to them haha
