We did a ‘book’ for pre marriage prep and it was fantastic. What I love about our Church is that they are very pastoral, we actually picked a married couple who we trusted and had journeyed a lot with as individuals and as a couple. They weren’t afraid to go off piste and ask questions and dive deep because they care about us having a healthy marriage. Of course, I understand that for some, having a different type of counseling, especially if there are some more specific things to work through before being able to step into marriage, but for us, I just wanted to say it was a very positive and healthy experience and it wasn’t just reading a book.
Just remember love is first ❤️ then just remember you are partners. Be kind to each other and not worry if you have a bad day it happens. I was married for 37 years and then widowed and the same happened to my husband I have now. Just live and enjoy every moment ❤️

I would have purchased both sailboats to make it a more substantial focal point. It's a big piano. It shouldn't be difficult at all to find something to stand that cactus piece on. One thought is the cover to a candle with some styrofoam glued inside and a wooden dowel to hold the cactus. As for the chairs, both look good, as long as you have another place for the new chair that you really love. And I agree with those who've said it's yours now and you can paint it or do whatever you want with it.

I think if you reupholster the chair maybe have it be a fun print, sailboats or lighthouses...or mix sailboats and surfing...something that you'll really love and if you want to paint it white, go for it!

The petrified cactus log … push glass pebbles into the holes and hang it from the ceiling or put on a window sill. I worked in a boutique hotel in Laguna Beach and we had one hanging from the ceiling and we got a lot of love from it.
I got excited when 'The End of Us' started playing in that last clip! It's one of my favorites! While the green chairs are cozy, I agree that they do looked a little cramped. Maybe the new chair and a small wooden table? The one-foot kind with a round flat top for your coffee mug. Love the sailboat!
You can use the cactus thing that you found for air plants. I know you said you don't have a lot of shelf space. But you can also hang it by itself. Or you can get one of those invisible floating bookshelf for the wall. You could put a couple of colorful books and that on top with a couple of airplants.

Don’t paint the wood white! It will loose so much value. But you can form a sitting area with the 1 chair if you put it near the end of the couch.
