Thank you so much for going over these steps! I couldn't find the info anywhere but luckily I found your video!
I've managed to get one to work on my second attempt ❤️
Also well done on managing with your nails! I feel they made a tricky finicky job 100% harder for you 😅

Did you ever do a video on how to do this for a resin zipper? I have a # 10 resin that I would like to do this to, thank you and thank you for making this video.

Nice that you knew to keep the string that goes inside the teeth, that adds strength! I think to insure it stays on you need to press dimples in the metal to crimp it on as they do in the factory, but with a very small hand punch! Your video is the best I have found so far on this subject!

Since your video is a few years old, now did the zipper hold up at the bottom?

Thanks for the demo. Good tips at the end about the superglue. I'd hate to mess up the whole project because of runny glue. Also kudo's doing this whole thing with those nails. You're more patient than I would be. I'd have those suckers ripped off in 2 minutes.

Thank you for sharing, explaining and making the tutorial! I hope I can find the elements it takes for doing the job... I'll have to see if I can find them somewhere, where I live. 😬

Wizardry stitchers and crafts website does not have the stops and pins sold separately. Do you have another source?

I know you mention that the zipper box has L or R on for left or right…are the insertion pins the same that they are either L or R or can you use them either side?

a zipper in one of my jackets just broke and i had no idea if there was spare parts u could get or if u had to replace the whole zipper, now i know there is spare parts Thank you.
Thoose nails..looks more like claws lol...meeting her in a dark alley i run the other way, looks viciously...
Left or right...does anyone care?...haven even heaard the male/female tke on it...i thought it was only whats most convenient like Left-Right handed... maby in the us or somewhere L-R has had a gender meaning?...frankly i wouldent care at all...thers zippers period.
i think in the US (and alot of places unfourtunetly) thers focus on male/female aspects of all kinds of stuff, Ima guy from sweden...we dont bother with such nonsense..
bottom line, i found the information very useful...thanx..

  • @walterpickford3204

I can't get over how difficult it looks to pick up small pieces with those nails. Then again being a man I don't think I'll ever have that problem myself!
Maybe consider putting the zipper pull on before fitting the "L shaped" end if doing very long zippers.
I'm thinking that you don't need to totally separate the zipper (maybe only a few inches) and have to thread all the way down if doing say upholstery or tents etc.

those gender roles are a little ridiculous I wonder where they originated from.

It's very old, from when ladies didn't dress themselves.
As most people are right handed and it was even considered evil to be left handed, (that's actually what sinister used to mean) clothes were made to be put on by right handed people. Men dressed themselves, so it was easier for buttons and, eventually, zips to be on the right. As ladies were dressed by other ladies, buttons were on the left, making them on the right of the maid who was doing them up.

Couldn't watch video, your nails were in the way of viewing. I also noticed you had trouble picking things up with them.
