- First clip with matrix performance with software 2024.32.6
In the last part of the clip there's an oncoming Highland, thought it was interesting to show what it looks like from the other side of its Matrix lights when I realised which car it was :)

All cars should have matrix led lights. It is such a pleasure to see more in the night without hesitating the traffic
Your vids are great. Would you consider changing the transition effect from brght flash to something else? It would be easier on the eyes at night ;)
Thanks, and thanks for the comment :)
I can do that, hadn't really thought about them being too bright, so I've just continued to use yours since I switched to davinci for editing, as it's the first transition effect you can choose in the list, maybe a bit lazy of me :) But will look at the other transition effects for the next upload :)
Do you think the highland headlights are better than pre-facelift ?
Thanks for your comment :)
It's been a while since I had the old car, but as I remember it I think the old one has better spread/height on the high beam.
I think I read that it has more elements/higher resolution in the matrix part, so it's more accurate when it dims in areas with other cars.
It's uncanny how it angles itself downwards when it sees oncoming traffic if I compare this to a Mercedes with the MultiBeam.
Thanks for your comment :)
Can see MB multibeam has 84 elements in each light, don't know how many Model 3 has but it's not 84, maybe around 20 or less, so it's not really comparable.
if I got the opportunity, I would definitely want to try driving with a more advanced matrix system than the Model 3 has :)
@@CatsAndRandomStuff, it depends on what model we are talking about. My W213 2018 has 84, and the new S class has millions created by a projector in the headlight. Mercedes does it in a very subtle way, you only notice it when you start the car and when the high beams turn on outside of the city. It does a little animation then. Otherwise, you couldn't really tell. Even if you turn the wheel or go up or down the bend it's doing its thing but you don't even see it. Signs reflect very brightly though. They fixed that with the new S class. Everything is done automatically of course.
