I play Tracer and other DPS characters mainly (sometimes support), but I ALWAYS thank my supports for healing & helping. I'm a LoL support main so I know the struggle is too real and that hearing a "thank you" is really all I can ask for at the end of a game.
You shouldn’t thank them it’s there job you don’t thank a dps for doing damage because that’s there job also healing is super easy compared to other jobs
The worst thing is that when you as a healer is healing the tank on the front lines and someone in chat is like "I NEED HEALING MAN" and right before you are about to heal them, they run into battle just to get headshoted by a Widowmaker, then they blame your for not healing them T.T
well i dived in front of our mercy while genji deflecting to save her several times in a game today, and i actually died doing it. she got away and rezzed me along with the team, so i did it guys! a dps helped the support!!!!

I'm trying to master Hanzo, genji, zen, and Zarya. At first it was just Hanzo, so now I'm decent at him and I've got 12 hours. But as soon as I added the others so I could be more effective when I played flex, I've not had the chance to practice genji cause someone instalocks him or the no healers tab stares into my soul and forces me to go zen and practice him. Occasionally, someone will go support, but the other 4 will go dps so I have to go Zarya to fill the tank role. Don't think I'll ever get some decent practice on genji without feeling like a dick. ;(

Jeff: we decided to revert mercy’s healing back to 50 hps because she does to much healing Moria: Does 80hps plus her heal bubble. Jeff, actually use good reasoning if you are going to nerf healing. Cause this doesn’t make sense
Moira also has to fill up her healing bar so she can use the healing stream. The bubble also has a cooldown. Mercy on the other hand can just hold left click forever.

Actually, in my experience, people pick support more often than tank. I'm usually stuck on roadhog because the rest of the team are three lucios and two pharahs.
That is the problem I encounter. Everyone wants to support and nobody wants to tank (or even defend sometimes). I love playing support so for me that is a major problem. Lol. Eta: and I say this because support/healer is all I've played in any game for about 9 years now.
I would honestly rather play support than tank, because tanks are all slow fatasses, and I prefer avoiding and countering attacks as opposed to just soaking it up.

Environmental kills are not bad unto themselves, just don't sacrifice positioning too much. A kill, or a multikill, for one right click is so economical... It can be hard to discipline yourself. Healing should always comes first though!
True some healers are just going to them for the dps like if you aim it right mercy pistol can be a good head blaster. Lucio can be hard to keep from throwing someone off the map with him. Zenyata well......no need to explain how easy is it to forget healing when he puts a discord on an enemy and his headshot damage is good >3>; so sometimes the healer is being the "bad" One.
I once got stuck in a Zaryah ult with three other people as Mercy. I thought to myself, if I'm going to die; I'm taking something with me. So behind Rineheart's body blocking my view I somehow killed two people. One of them was Zaryah >:D
My main os D.va and Mercy and, boy, lemme tell ya. Playing as Mercy sucks... You get targeted and when you yell for help, since you're the only healer, everyone ignores you.
You should start maining Lucio. I never used to like him, but now I realise how amazing he is. His healing isnt nearly as good as Mercy's, but if you can keep your whole group in your AoE, you can keep them healed up. Very helpful for the people that hate being only able to heal one person at a time.
Just watch where you ping and learn to shift lift dance back and forth. Never stay too far back either because no one gives a fuck to babysit you ever until youre in diamond lol and never ping over to the widow/soldier/flanker either unless you have to or you blow their cover also.
True and when playing solo no tries to help the mercy healing them so I end up dieing when a d.va or reinhardt charges away randomly around a corner leaving me to the enemy team
yeah i'm better with mercy/lucio than any other hero atm so i'd classify myself as a support main but that's partially because no one else plays it lol i find it fun to heal though tbh

Symmetra is definitely gimmicky. Most people on the official Overwatch Forums don't like Symmetra because she's easily counterplayed, and basically only wins a 1v1 if the opponent can't aim. Tracer, Genji, Pharah, Reaper; anyone who can get to the backline can just kill her teleporter and by then she's more of a liability to the team. The turrets are mostly useful as "Alerts" that an opponent is walking around a flank since Pharah or Junkrat can destroy them really easily if you try to use them as "traps". On Attack though, she can make real use of herself by shooting full-charge Alt-Fire on an enemy Bastion behind a Reinhardt shield, since it penetrates shields.

She has the highest winrate of any hero on Defense, she is a fine support pick on Defense. Support doesn't necessarily have to heal, the teleporter is supporting your team by saving about a 10-15 second run back ESPECIALLY on the first point.

True some healers are just going to them for the dps like if you aim it right mercy pistol can be a good head blaster. Lucio can be hard to keep from throwing someone off the map with him. Zenyata well......no need to explain how easy is it to forget healing when he puts a discord on an enemy and his headshot damage is good >3>; so sometimes the healer is being the "bad"

I once got stuck in a Zaryah ult with three other people as Mercy. I thought to myself, if I'm going to die; I'm taking something with me. So behind Rineheart's body blocking my view I somehow killed two people. One of them was Zaryah >:D

You get targeted and when you yell for help, since you're the only healer, everyone ignores you.
You should start maining Lucio. I never used to like him, but now I realise how amazing he is. His healing isnt nearly as good as Mercy's, but if you can keep your whole group in your AoE, you can keep them healed up. Very helpful for the people that hate being only able to heal one person at a time.

Just watch where you ping and learn to shift lift dance back and forth. Never stay too far back either because no one gives a fuck to babysit you ever until youre in diamond lol and never ping over to the widow/soldier/flanker either unless you have to or you blow their cover also.

True and when playing solo no tries to help the mercy healing them so I end up dieing when a d.va or reinhardt charges away randomly around a corner leaving me to the enemy team

yeah i'm better with mercy/lucio than any other hero atm so i'd classify myself as a support main but that's partially because no one else plays it lol i find it fun to heal though tbh

Symmetra is definitely gimmicky.
Most people on the official Overwatch Forums don't like Symmetra because she's easily counterplayed, and basically only wins a 1v1 if the opponent can't aim. Tracer, Genji, Pharah, Reaper; anyone who can get to the backline can just kill her teleporter and by then she's more of a liability to the team. The turrets are mostly useful as "Alerts" that an opponent is walking around a flank since Pharah or Junkrat can destroy them really easily if you try to use them as "traps".
On Attack though, she can make real use of herself by shooting full-charge Alt-Fire on an enemy Bastion behind a Reinhardt shield, since it penetrates shields.

Yeah, but what does 25 health protect you from? A couple of Tracer's bullets? It's not substantial enough.
She has the highest winrate of any hero on Defense, she is a fine support pick on Defense. Support doesn't necessarily have to heal, the teleporter is supporting your team by saving about a 10-15 second run back ESPECIALLY on the first point.
