Oh no. I hadnt even thought about the noise of the ferries. That def would leave a sour taste in my mouth after spending that huge amount of money on a delux room. Glad your 2nd night was quieter. That def is a huge advantage of being able to order ohana meal to your room. And kona cafe meals and Alicia's dessert looked amazing.
I also would have been very upset at a noisy night for an extremely expensive room. On the other hand, I have also eaten at Kona Cafe and really liked it! Thanks for doing this recap of your year at WDW. What a dream come true that would be!
Funny enough we were there around the same time. We were staying DVC in the Moorea building towards the end of January. Although the resort is beautiful and I love being across from Magic Kingdom the boats honking until late into the night and early into the morning wasn't for us. I don't think we'd stay at the Poly again because of the boats.
We totally understand that. It doesn’t make for a pleasant trip if you’re tired the whole time. We love how peaceful the vibe is at Poly, but the boats there are an issue.
We were on the exact opposite side of the bungalows and while the horn from the ferry is loud we didn't find it too annoying but then again....we weren't right next to it. :)
As much as the bungalows are to stay there, they could have tried to soundproof them when they were built. Sorry you had to listen to the ferry boats all night. 😕
I would have been so upset about the noise when you'd paid so much for the bungalow. The same occurs at the CC cabins. I'm glad I can't afford them lol. Another great video. See you tomorrow.
Alyssa you look so beautiful in the pictures that Robert took of you on the Poly beach. My husband and I are definitely going to try to stay at the Poly on our next trip.

By the way, one good thing about getting 'old', you can't hear as well, so things like blaring boat horns aren't nearly as bothersome. Did you wave at the ferries as they went by? I'm that cornball person who would do that. Probably all day. A combination of just wanting to be friendly with the "hey look at me, i'm staying in this awesome bungalow." LOL....
We’re not really sure? Maybe to make sure they could still use it during the day? But they should have planned better so there weren’t guests booked over that way.

We think had we been further away, the stay would have been better. But that bungalow is just too close to the ferry for a quiet night’s sleep 😄

I heard any room at poly let’s you order the ohana meal. We bring use a box fan on high to stop the noise.
That’s super smart. 😊 Some rooms can be much noisier than others. You can order it to any room...we just didn’t know it at this point 😊

We were really surprised at how loud it all was. Being further down in a different bungalow probably would have helped a lot.
Wow crazy amount of noise, usually white noise works for me, but if it didn't it must have been really loud!
