Same here. Instead of using a bowl I would use a coffee mug. And really I ate more than ever before it was just spaced out. So instead of a pile of food once a day, I’d eat a little bit 6 or 7 times a day. Cut over 100lbs and I got to where I felt too skinny.
Gotta concentrate on FEEDING yourself. Stg if you eat the recommended 5 veggies/fruits and 2ltrs of water a day you're not gonna have room for much else.
Then feed yourself healthy proteins. None of this means eating blandly. Go wild with whatever spices, herbs etc you want (use msg instead of salt - less sodium) There are verrrrrry few individuals who need to incorporate two thirds of their diet to starchy carbs. Vegetables and fruit contain carbs. The weightloss model of 3 meals a day was designed for industry and is enormously outdated. Evolution wasn't designed for high fructose corn syrup in 'light' packaging yano? Makes sense when you think about it
Eric is right about tapering. While some may prefer to quit cold turkey (like for mental reasons), you can have serious health complications - on top of the withdrawals. I knew someone who went into severe dehydration because of it. Literally throwing up for 8 hours straight (like their body kept physically throwing up even tho there was nothing to throw up). On top of that, aches all over, dirreah etc. This can lead to heart failure or other complications. So it's not just about feeling horrible. As Eric said, the physical dependency is a big aspect. The problem is, a lot of people don't have the support they need. They can't just go to a doctor and have them taper them down with suboxone. Detox clinics are expensive, and hospitals won't treat you. That is why people will resort to using other drugs like Xanax. But even then, that's dangerous because an addict might just relapse, or get a new addiction. Point being, there is a real need for Opiod withdrawl treatment and there isn't.
Methadone is a great option that's 100% covered by Medicaid in some states (like here in Nevada). Transportation to and from the clinic is also provided by Medicaid free of charge.
I used heroin for 20Years or so Decided to go to a methadone clinic that was 2012. At the clinic I went to there was tons of people selling zanax. I started taking them everyday for about 5 years believe it or not zanax was WAY HARDER to get off then heroin I almost die be safe❤
I appreciate the candid conversation about psych meds. It's wild how each type of SSRI affects people differently. When I was involuntarily switched from Prozac to Zoloft to manage my extreme anxiety, it was the worst experience of my life. Zoloft gave me constant suicidal ideation and I had never been suicidal before. It caused me to experience clinical depression. It was a mess. I stopped Zoloft cold turkey because I was ready to jump off a bridge. I never went back on an SSRI after that. I fortunately am able to manage my anxiety through different means and am grateful for that.
That musta been tough, I've been on Prozac for the last 5 months and feel even more anxious than before, how are you managing being off SSRIs now I'm tempted to stop taking them as well.
Thats fucking insane i hope youre doing better... i dont care for ssris but recently i started feeling like absolute shit out of nowhere, panic attacks, uncomfortable no matter what lol they prescribed me with citalopram and i felt better literally that same day. These bitch ass pills do work some times
@davidstembridge2814 I stopped in 2017 and just kind of white knuckled it for awhile lol I went back to therapy and started using my CBT and DBT techniques. I just make sure to get enough sleep, stay away from foods that make me feel like shit, and avoid alcohol as much as possible. My anxiety at that time in my life was very situational however, I do have Borderline Personality Disorder. As I mentioned, the CBT, DBT, and self awareness helps me cope. Its not this easy for most people who live with the same diagnosis. I'm lucky to have a good support system and non severe symptoms at this point in my life.
I had a very similar experience on the few ssri medications ive been prescribed. It never helped ease the anxiety or depression and just intensified it. Same with other reuptake inhibitors until trying triple uptake inhibitors aka SNDRI's.

Scrolled way too far down find this. Thank you hero
I'm a recoving opiate addict clean for 5 years, my last detox i did alone at home I didn't taper i didn't use any medication to help me off which I had tried all of that in the past and kept relapsing, I just bit the metaphorical bullet and it was dumb and dangerous for sure but I felt like I had to suffer through it to scare me into not relapsing and setting myself back to square 1 and it worked all right I still have nightmares about that withdrawal 5 years later it was like unaliving and then coming back to life and even after the 7-10 days of torture, it took months of exercise and healthy eating, vitamins..smoothies etc to repair my body from years of drug abuse funny story the first time I tried to go grocery shopping 10 days or so post withdrawal I couldn't even walk to the back of the store my body was that weak, so I have alot of respect for fellow addicts trying to get sober and staying clean and alot of sympathy for the people who are still stuck in their own personal hell, sending my 🖤 to anybody who needs it
"its hot as shit in here" says the dude that has his set so hot to purposely make people sweat and be uncomfortable.
One of the best episodes
Gotta be the best Eric Andre interview I’ve seen. IDK how many times I’ve seen the EAS tripping and thought “this guy probably loves tripping”. Very smart and hilarious dude. Nice interview guys.
46:00 "You're able to just get totally loaded like that. Like alarmingly loaded... upsettingly loaded...and just back to normal in no time?" Eric's responses to this had me crying 😂😂
I could listen to these two talk all day 😂
Yessir 😂😂 some funny mfkers 🤣🤣🔥🔥💯💯
Bam punching in the air right now 👊 🤜
Gotta love Eric, all the shit he does to freak his guests, and he says he's gonna get a panic attack from the heater hahahaaa
Eric is the best, it's great to see him and Steve-O together!
Kinda brutal telling vinny he never thinks
Yea I couldn't tell if that was sarcastic or if he was really laying into him lol poor Vinny
Hes right about the tapering when it comes to food addiction. People who quit fully, always get cravings, and the craving will build until you finally give in and binge. Eating more than you would have if you had just had a quarter/half a snickers bar.
Dude I love you Steve. I m proud of you for getting sober and I feel like I can finally say I think of you as an adult now 😂😂
Wow i really enjoyed this episode. Im a huge fan of eric and steve and this was the best combo!!!
Maybe I'm crazy, but that first line from Eric, "How many miles you got on this fucker?" reminds me of ITYSL so much, you know Eric likes him some Tim Robinson
totally tim robinson energy
I really enjoyed Eric Andre as a guest this podcast Steve-O. Thanks for the entertaining episode!
TIME TO DELIVER A PIZZABALL
