  • Hey guys, welcome back :) This week I decided to compare and contract the cost of living between Taiwan and the USA! Some of these numbers will vary depending on many variables. All prices are already converted to USD. I hope this helps! Feel free to leave questions down below. A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL FOR THE CONSTANT SUPPORT! We're headed to 1k subscribers this week!!! Thank you ❤️

Rent 400 USD is kinda cheap I'd say. My apartment in Taichung is about 30K(1000 USD) a month and it's about the average for a 2 bedroom one( Taiwanese size, not American size). My niece who rents a single studio( no kitchen) costs 11000 NTD which is about 350 already without bills..
In Taipei, the capital, the average rent for a single room without kitchen is around 700 USD-800 USD. If you want a brand new two bedroom apartment in Taipei, I have a friend from China who used to work here and he had to pay 90000( 3000 USD) per month back in 2019.
I also think your phone bill seems lower than average as well, most of the people around me pay around 20-30, and the wifi is around 20-30 but years ago our wifi was also like above 504 since it's like a basic here, you can eve get wifi in public so easily...

Thats wild rent is 400, Im a college kid and pay waaaaay more for a crusty shack T_T you are amazing! I've been on the fence about moving to Taiwan because of a couple of reasons, one being HAIR! do you ship your hair products from the states over? Are there black salons? I only found one on google lmao. Love your videos sis you look great

    • @NneniaYasmeen

Hi, there are no black salons in Taiwan. There are hair braiders here. I brought a lot of hair products here with me but you can order them from Amazon. There's also a lady out here that sells black hair care products. Thank you for watching!!

We typically shop from momo, pchome, etmall etc. They send items directly to your home or convenience stores (Taiwan has high density of convenience stores, there is always one around the corner :-) ). In some urban areas you can even receive items in 6 or 12 hours.
