I love Mario’s portrayal, here! He works hard, but knows when to let loose and just have fun. His positivity lifts others up. To me, THAT is the Mario that we know and love.
I like how Peach’s anatomy proportions feel like they would match Mario’s, like both are human. Sure Peach may be a bit more “chubby” in here then the games, but that makes her seem more normal and lively.
Not gonna lie, that Mario voice might be closer than Kevin Afghani's. He's not bad, just a little off in some regards (I also wasn't a fan of his direction for Mario's voice, but I really like this one).

I chose to more or less combine Maddie Blaustine's Meowth performance as it was a more grounded established character, with Charles Martinet's sound as acting is what we do. And it's ultimately what makes what we do interesting, as voice is only sound after all. If one can marry the two great... but if not, I say best focus on the acting and the results should speak for itself. ^-^ - And yes. Nintendo knows I exist. I just wasn't invited to the party.
Its too bad that the actual Mario doesn't really behave that way, sure he helps out in the Mushroom Kingdom and stuff, but he's always going after Peach the same way that Bowser does, which is why when Peach rejected both him and Bowser in Odyssey, it was well deserved for both of them as they treated her as a prize, and a true lady needs to be respected, and in return a true lady should respect the man that puts in the time and effort to gain her affections, as having standards is not a wrong thing, but in today's society lots of good men get burned as they are not given any chances, as many women go for the jerks or bad boys that won't value them.

I love how peachy_pencils(comic creator) took took the time to draw the range of toads from multiple mario games, have to give respect for that.
There was a period of those Mario RPG games were toads for the only non-playable characters, so it's nice to see a variety of NPC toads
