this may be a stupid question but does the screen picture alight exactly with the tv, or does it leave some black lines at the bottom and top, as if it was a movie, ? Reason I ask is because mine has that prob, trying to get it to fit all screen, using hdmi cable, and set to standard, 16:9 and still gets those lines any idea what I should do?
I need Help on how to set TV Channels on a New 40" LED Samsung TV that I just purchased at Walmart for $223.00. It is just a plain TV and it is not a Smart TV. I do not have any Cable or Dish and I am just using an old Rabbit Ears type TV Antenna to get FREE TV. With my old fashioned TV that weighed a Ton - I could move my Antenna around to different positions and get about 56 channels. Now with the New Samsung Flat Screen TV it uses an Automatic Function to set the Channels - therefore if the Antenna is in one position when I run the Automatic Channel Find it leaves out certain channels. If I move the Antenna to a different position and re-run the Automatic Channel finder it leaves out different Channels. How can I add in the missing Channels? I have tried clicking on a channel and having it added to the channel list such as Channel 27, but then it doesn't let me add channel 27.1 or 27.2 and so on. Then the TV doesn't want to play the channels I added no matter where I put the antenna. Anyone have any ideas or tricks to add channels???
To install apps do you have to have real internet hooked up or can I use WiFi or hotspot cause thats what im useing but I cant find any where to download apps my tv just came with apps youtube and Netflix but Netflix dont work rigth now but I am screen mirroring so my apps on my phone work on my tv so it kinda the same but idk still learning about this tv just got it yesterday
I select "Samsung Apps" in Smart Hub to add other apps. You may also need to do a Smart Hub software update by exiting the Smart Hub and going to Support part of the menu.. You need any kind of internet as long as it is connected and working.
I use it mostly for a computer monitor and do use it for games occasionally. I see no problems with it except you need to keep in mind that this model does not have a D-Sub input (VGA) so If you want to connect a computer it needs to be with HDMI.

***** Not sure as I have no idea what Indian Samsung stores have got interface. When I updated my interface didn't change much except some new available online media apps.

It may be your source device setting causing that.If you set it to the native resolution of 1920x1080 then you should have no problem.

Excellent picture. Easy to mount on stand and knowing Samsung is first in quality I'll have it for a long time.
