There used to be a Planned Punggol North LRT. However, it was probably cancelled. You can still see the leftovers for such as those cross track and bet. Sam Kee and Punggol Station, there is an abandoned middle track located for the Punggol North LRT. If you see the architect of Punggol Station, you will see a gap present. That was for the Punggol North LRT. Now, it has been covered up. (Fun fact : The plans for Punggol North LRT will end at Coney Island or maybe somewhere near.)

most likely it will be abandoned forever unless LTA & SBS Transit got future plans with it.
