Losing Yara broke my heart. I was devastated. The when Abby tells Lev, "You're my people" I really lost it. Such a beautiful and tragic game. Thanks for another great video! 💙
Trivia: When Abby and Lev get back to the aquarium, if you turn around and face the ocean again you can see the island burning faaar in the distance. Almost no one does this because ones brain is focused on the aquarium and what is to come, but the devs still put that in there knowing almost no one would
when Abby says to Lev "we're gonna have to fight to get out of this, we don't let anybody stop us, yeah?" it always reminds me of Joel telling Ellie "if i get into trouble down there, you make every shot count, yeah?". they are so similar to each other.
@@dansken610 True, but that does happen. Sometimes things that supposed to be there glitch out. But an arrow suddenly spawning, in a section that doesn't even use it. That makes no freaking sense. 🤯
You pretty much summed up a-lot of the game @23:30. It really does challenge your own morality and personal bias. Thats what makes the narrative so unique. I can't wait for the final episode!!
I've loved your playthrough so much! This is one of the best games of all time imo. I have never felt a game challenge me (not gameplay, but thoughts and feelings) as much as this one. I literally had to set my controller down when I realized they were making me fight Ellie as Abby. I was like "damn this is tough..." lol
I was very surprised that fighting from both sides was tough... I didn't want to fight Ellie as Abby, but once I got to the end, I didn't want to fight Abby as Ellie! It definitely messes with your emotions a lot!
@IntroXietyGaming yeah I loved the mirroring of both "boss" fights. When as Abby you didn't wanna fight Ellie but then when you were Ellie at the end, you didn't wanna fight Abby. I was yelling at the end "please stop, Ellie!" 😆
This is the only game in my entire life that literally spiraled me into depression for weeks after I finished it. Hands down my favorite game of all time.
I am so happy that you are not one of those way too many haters who can not cope with what the game is presenting to them but instead you enjoy the challenge of the swapped character perspective wich in my opinion is nothing short of a masterpiece
2:00:26 I experienced the arrow glitch. This confirms that the sequence is leaving the house. Passing the tree without interaction. Not going to the back door. And going back out. However, I had the horrific experience of dropping JJ trying to access the bow. Have yet to recreate it.
The cinematography in this game is outstanding, but especially in the standoff scene between Ellie and Abby and how it was shot in different ways. Like when Jesse is shot; from Ellie's side, the camera is chaotic and lingers on his body for just a second but from Abby's side, he stays in the shot but is unfocused and off to the side like he's just one more random grunt that we've shot. And again when Ellie's asking to let Tommy go; on one hand we can see close up Ellie's every little emotion, on the other hand, she's in the distance and we barely make out her face. Great great work.
I still remember to this day...that it was at this exact moment (1:34:18) where it hit me...that I had killed Alice earlier as Ellie. I was SOOO Upset at myself. Ha!
The 3 day structure in the game is so well done. I saw a comment explaining the overlap on day 2 of Ellie & Abby, that you may have missed in real time. How Abby cutting the power on in the hospital basement, is referenced by the WLF soldier's chasing Ellie, when they go to the basement, as Ellie is chasing Nora. So Ellie & Abby just missed each other. But here if you Remember on Ellie's day 3, she has a fight with, Jesse, because they hear over the radio, about a sniper at the marina, and they instantly know it's, Tommy. And Jesse wants to go help him. And in tnis section you're at the Marina. Also backup probably doesn't come to help, Manny, because Ellie kills them all during her section,at the mall, to get her boat on day 3. I've really enjoyed your playthrough.
I found your channel the same day you uploaded the 1st episode, I gotta say your playthrough is one of my favorites tbh, you deserve so much more recognition!
In the Ellie fight, she uses the attacks you used while playing as her. If you used a lot of Molotovs, she does so in the fight as well, etc. including trap mines, stun bombs (which become smoke bombs if you have them). Pretty cool detail when someone discovered this.
Yara used her dying breath to save you and Lev by shooting Isaac. Also I love how the cinematography of the shot at 1:03:42 mirrors that of Joel and Sarah at the beginning of Part I, after he shoots their neighbor in front of her.
One last thing. The record Ellie puts on is called, Shaken by a low sound, by a bluegrass band called Crooked Still. It features "Ecstasy" and "Little Sadie" in the cutscene with Ellie and Dina at the dance. Its honestly a great album. I checked it out and now I listen to bluegrass all the time. And OMG! That floating arrow is honestly a little distracting. I've literally never seen that before.
haha yeah sadly I had to mute that song in the game, that's why it sounds like ass for like 30 seconds... the song was great! The floating arrow was crazy! 🤣
@1:37:38 This, right here, is exactly what many gamers failed to realize when critizing this game for making them face the consequences of Joel's actions in TLoU. They wrote off the game because they didn't agree with the story direction or were not mature enough to understand the importance of playing both sides: much like in the first game you spent 30 minutes as Sarah so that you feel the loss of someone you cared for, it would've been impossible to empathize with Abby's character without playing as her. The scene at the farm is also a call back to Owen's phrase to Abby ("We're allowed to be happy"), and Ellie's inability to allow herself to be happy.
This game made me realize the main character in most games are kinda psychos - how many security guards have we killed over the years. They were just 9-5pm guard workers trying to make a living 😂
Jesse's a prime example of that. He's a character we learned and connected to and was shocked when he died. But from Abby's side...he bursts in the door, *pop* headshot, down goes one more grunt, right back to business.
23:04 I LOVE this music section. It's literally the most tense I have ever been in TLOU. It sounded and FELT like an anxious heartbeat and it made MY heart pound wondering if I was gonna get out alive. The Rat King was scary but this segment was pure terror to me. Also one thing i suggest for your second playthrough (hopefully), is to walk slower to your objective. There's a lot of additional dialogue in game that many miss out on because they're walking too fast.
To answer your question of "Who was that" when Isaac is shot and killed - because a lot is going on, very fast - it's Yara. She is on the ground dying, but her final act is to shoot Isaac to save Abby and Lev. (Then all the Wolves present pretty thoroughly make sure she is dead.)
Some people criticize the nonlinear structure of this game, saying they think the story would be better had it been told in a linear fashion, but I absolutely adore the way this story unfolded, challenging your beliefs and flipping your expectations. It's a genuinely brave artistic direction for them to have taken the beloved, cult status Part I, and a direction which I believe paid off exponentially. I simply cannot imagine a "Part II" to the original game being anything else. In my mind now this feels like the natural extension of the first game which together forms a cohesive whole. It seems like people wanted another "Joel and Ellie romp" type thing, which in my opinion fundamentally misunderstands the heart of the first game and where our characters were left off at that point. The question that really gets me is, how do they elevate it from here for Part III? I simply cannot wait to see what they come up with because this game being the way it is would have been simply unimaginable as a fan who experienced the wait between the first two.
Oh no, you missed the Map. It’s a cool little detail cuz Abby thinks it’s Tommy who did all this to her and on the radio you hear that the scars basically won the war over WLF.
The way Issac is I have to wonder was he like this all along or was it FEDRA's influence that made him go full fascist? He was all about fighting FEDRA but he had no issues picking up their tactics and using their methods.
We know from early on that there's eventually gonna be a boss fight between Ellie and Abby; that said, I think it was an absolute genius move by Naughty Dog to make us play that fight _as Abby._ There's no doubt who has the advantage in a fistfight, but add weapons and even a little space and Ellie is a _terrifying_ opponent. Also, when Abby says, "You killed my friends", I always want Ellie to respond with "You killed my father!" But I guess that's a little too on the nose.
Yeah a little more from Ellie during that interaction would have been nice. I think she was probably focused more on Tommy's well-being at that point (and Dina's) though. Either way, a line like that from Ellie would have been perfect!
no spoilers please, leave introxietygaming play out the game...well yeah you could guess an encounter is gonna happen between ellie and abby... but yeah
That would be weird, to have Ellie respond that way. She cared for Joel, but he's not her father. We find out that Ellie knew the truth about Joel from before the game even starts, by this point she knows Abby is right when she says that. Abby only attacked Joel, and Ellie knows why, yet she still went on this revenge mission out of guilt. That's why she's basically giving up in that moment.
@@sxmroadcam6347 No spoilers here, I'm just talking about a part of the game which introxietygaming has already played (because, you know, it's in this video 😉)
I remember when I first played this back in 2020, at this point in the story I told myself that Abby had paid for Joels death at this point. I didn't love her as a character the way I do today at least the first playthrrough. But things have come literally come full circle and she's got nothing left except Lev. She's ready to die for him even if it means betraying her own people. 1:03:40 "Your my people". That line stops me in my tracks every time. I know people say its sacrilege but I get Ellie\Joel vibes when I play this part. I also had some feelings to say at the least during and after the Ellie bossfight. The fact they made me actually fight Ellie playing as Abby was CRAZY. I never thought they would make me do that. I hated it and loved it at the same time!
@@tsg712-t7e there have been too many comments about me hating the guitar sections but those people also don’t understand why I hate it. 9:35 Remember when Ellie and Tommy was heading to the aquarium and the wolves got word of a sniper in the area and Ellie chose to go after Abby and Jessie chose to go after Tommy? He knew they sniper was Tommy.
(not spoiler) I think it's clear that Tommy has brain damage, by the way. It can cause personality changes, usually in the direction of increased aggression. Personality change likely cause of him and Maria separating/taking time apart, and explains his behavior here which many find out of character for him.
Hmmmm, maybe in the moment, but I think it's pretty clear that Tommy has become sick with revenge, and it's affected all of those around him negatively. I think his separation was 100% his doing, not a result of his injury.
tbh i think its just that Tommy is Joel's brother and has the exact same personality trait where he says incredibly nasty things when his emotions are high and defensive, and then will regret it immediately after. just like Joel being really cruel to Ellie when she mentions Sarah, and then he very soon feels bad and tries to patch things up. Tommy is feeling humiliated and ashamed simply for needing to ask a teenage girl to fight his battles for him, and then getting unexpectedly rejected and having to say out loud that he is too incapable now to do it himself is even more humiliating so he lashed out. i think he for sure returned the next day to apologize after he cooled down, and was horrified to find out Ellie actually did leave to go fight Abby, all by herself, and probably is full of worry and guilt.
Lot of people where saying that dina lost the love for ellie because she lost jessie and she kept making distance from ellie everytime ellie wanted a little smooch, but i don't know i mean, dina was humming "Take on me" and she really seem supportive with ellie PTSD, i still think she still loves her
hmmm yeah I don't see that... You can clearly see the love Dina still had for Ellie. Ellie decided to leave them to pursue her revenge. That is what destroyed their relationship. She made the revenge more important than their family.
Good to see you’re still enjoying the game. I think it’s leagues better than the first game, though the first was also a masterpiece. Seems many people hate it for horrible reasons. 1.) Joel dies 2.) You have to play as the character who killed Joel 3.)They think the writers made Ellie the villain 4.) You only play as girls 5.) Lev is trans so game is woke All of which are bad reasons to hate this game. The writers do an excellent job of showing the depths of grief.
To be fair to Tommy, he’s fucking broken lol. His brothers dead, he’s nearly crippled, and his wife is probably leaving him. He probably doesn’t have anything else to live for now
a lot of people were upset at the fact that they make u play as Abby because they see Joel as a good guy, but fail to see that Joel was not a good person, no one is in this world, you're forced to do horrible things to survive, and that's why this game although painful, it has a spot in my heart, challenging your morality and having an open mind is not something a lot of people are comfortable doing.
I can totally understand why some people hated it also... it's definitely a very depressing game and challenges the player in a variety of ways (especially emotionally).
Not sure if anyone has asked, but any plans to watch the TV show? Personally I really love what they did. I feel like the stories enhance each other without wholly retreading and I'm veryyy interested to see what they bring to this game's adaptation.
I haven't watched it yet, but I plan to! I can't wait to see what they've done in the show (especially for part 2). I hope they don't stray from the game!
Yes that was Tommy who else could shoot that good .Sometimes you can’t just get though without killing some scars .Poor yara she sacrificed herself to save lev and abby now Abby has no one apart from lev thanks see ya later 🐚
I'm on the East Coast. My state doesn't get the most snow but when it does, even if it's like 3 inches, we get snow days. Lol I swear they don't know how to deal with snow around here. I'm originally from MA, and we used to get feet of snow and I'd still be going to school/work. I can't complain though... snow days are awesome. haha
I think it's wild that so many people think Ellie is justified and Abby isn't. Joel killed nearly everyone Abby knew including her dad, so she killed Joel and let Tommy and Ellie go, and then they killed all her friends and her dog. Trauma isn't a competition, but if it were, Abby would be winning - talk about overkill. Yes, it's true that Abby never saw Jerry die while Ellie watched as Joel was tortured and killed, and that's awful; but that wasn't Abby's plan. No one else was supposed to be there. Then Ellie tortured and killed Nora just as brutally, and Nora didn't even kill anyone - her crime was simply saying Joel was "a bitch" who "got what he deserved", and having information that Ellie wanted. And after all that (and killing Jesse - RIP) Abby let Ellie go, again. The game deliberately starts Abby off on the back foot as far as getting players to like her, for sure - we all loved Joel - but I feel it speaks to people's emotional intelligence or lack thereof when they're not only unable to ever show any empathy toward Abby, but can't even admit that she has had the rougher go and has continually been the bigger person despite it.
@@IntroXietyGaming I hope you loved it! It's been a pleasure watching your journey with the series and I look forward to hearing your full thoughts + seeing you experience RDR2. ❤❤❤

Abby was coming to terms with killing Joel accomplishing nothing. Just to make it back to base to find out her friends are dead. Immediately reignited that spark of hatred she was working on getting past.

Good to see you’re still enjoying the game. I think it’s leagues better than the first game, though the first was also a masterpiece. Seems many people hate it for horrible reasons.
1.) Joel dies
2.) You have to play as the character who killed Joel
3.)They think the writers made Ellie the villain
4.) You only play as girls
5.) Lev is trans so game is woke
All of which are bad reasons to hate this game. The writers do an excellent job of showing the depths of grief.
To be fair to Tommy, he’s fucking broken lol. His brothers dead, he’s nearly crippled, and his wife is probably leaving him. He probably doesn’t have anything else to live for now
In the whole game, only Ellie is infuriating, and at the same time she is the most vulnerable.
I think the only thing good about this universe is that Ellie and Dina got this house for zero interest down with a monthly payment of zero .
a lot of people were upset at the fact that they make u play as Abby because they see Joel as a good guy, but fail to see that Joel was not a good person, no one is in this world, you're forced to do horrible things to survive, and that's why this game although painful, it has a spot in my heart, challenging your morality and having an open mind is not something a lot of people are comfortable doing.
This game is difficult in an entirely different way than most games. It's honestly no wonder that some people hated it. Playing it is painful!
A shout-out to all the ex-Mormon homies 🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yes that was Tommy who else could shoot that good .Sometimes you can’t just get though without killing some scars .Poor yara she sacrificed herself to save lev and abby now Abby has no one apart from lev thanks see ya later 🐚
What state are you from with snow? We're used to it here in Wisconsin lol
I'm on the East Coast. My state doesn't get the most snow but when it does, even if it's like 3 inches, we get snow days. Lol I swear they don't know how to deal with snow around here. I'm originally from MA, and we used to get feet of snow and I'd still be going to school/work. I can't complain though... snow days are awesome. haha
@@IntroXietyGaming Oh, are you in one of the Southern states that got trounced by that snowstorm last week? I was reading about that. Wild stuff.
@IntroXietyGaming Yeah we don't get snow days here. Like at all lol
The next video is gonna hit hard…very hard 😭
too bad you cant manipulate glitches to get the ammo you want lol
End it in the next part, you are so closeeee
@@MrGei-v4h I sure did! Can’t believe it’s over! 😭
@@IntroXietyGaming I hope you loved it! It's been a pleasure watching your journey with the series and I look forward to hearing your full thoughts + seeing you experience RDR2. ❤❤❤
Is abby even the villain? All she did was k1ll her dad's murderer and didnt even harm any of his friends she even regretted killing him, then saved two kids from a cult and spared ellie TWICE..... ive seen Joel and Ellie do worse
Both are the villain and the hero. Because it isnt that simple
Trash game
Must not have played it.
More like: Trash comment.
@@StrikerPsychopath it would be more constructive if you had a longer comment explaining reasons why it’s a trash game. I’d love to hear them.
i think its a damn good game
honestly, who knows and care cares why they think its trash. Its a controversial story and its not for everyone. I admit that. But that doesn't stop me from loving the shit out of it.
Haven't finished the vid yet but just heard you mention that you grew up in a mormon household. What a nightmare.
All the empathy you have for this story and characters combined with your sailor's mouth brings me joy knowing of the mormon household. Seems you got away (presumably) from that nonsense, good for you.
Also I'm just really enjoying your playthrough, thanks for the entertainment :)
-a non-mormon utahn, who has seen so much hate from the latter day "saints" all her life.
Abby was coming to terms with killing Joel accomplishing nothing. Just to make it back to base to find out her friends are dead.
Immediately reignited that spark of hatred she was working on getting past.
You're in the hooooome stretch now, homie.
I'd say one, maybe twwwoooo more videos.

Amanduuuugh, we all know damn well the claws that would pop outta your hands if someone came and took your family and friends away. Hell has no fury like a mama scorned.
Ellie is drawn like a moth to flame. Obsession with something that will only bring her more trauma and pain.
@@RigorMortisRape if anyone touched my family, you bet your ass there’d be hell to pay. You right. 🤣

"It's not going to end until one of us is dead".
I think Ellie, Abby, Yara and Lev have more in common than they think.
Maybe so, RigorMortisRape. Maybe so.
