In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
According to Wikipedia, James used to be a teaching assistant. Imagine turning on the tv and seeing your former teacher waving his pants around on a stick.
That's just a Tuesday here in Florida
And Greg was a teacher for years.. Imagine turning on your tv and seeing him kissing Alex Horne or making out with Ed Sheeran. A challenging but ultimately-rewarding wank for sure.

I met Greg with my sis who is 5' 3 and he made her look like a ten year old. He is enormous. Also a very nice bloke.
I died laughing when Greg went full teacher mode after James swore at him, and scolded him. You can just tell James instantly knows he fucked up by their faces.
I'm pretty sure that was all acted by Greg though.

James Acaster is my favorite comedian, period. I couldn't believe my luck when I learned that he was appearing at a club within walking distance of my friend's home in Brooklyn, New York. I've never laughed harder in my life.

He has a relatively high pitched voice, he doesn’t smoke so there’s nothing to age him, and his haircut also makes him look young. His attitude is very naive and chaotic and full of energy too so he just seems a lot younger than he is. I also thought he was 24 or something. When I found out he dated Louise Ford I was like why would he date that old lady? But I was surprised to find they’re close in age

Greg so easily slips into stern teacher with James. James is exactly the right kind of student he’d talk to like this. It’s brilliant!
My favorite part of this is that when James says "Just open the box, you [ding]," Greg's expression is blank, then angry. As Greg starts to stand, Alex tries to hold him back at 2:00, and says "Don't."
He makes everything so much funnier and the fact he doesn’t laugh at his own jokes makes it even better

They were prosthetics, and the real joke was that Greg briefly acknowledged them but refused to allow Alex to make any reference to them during the episode.
