My yellow bells need to be trimmed quarterly otherwise they droop really bad from the weight. They are about 10 feet tall and 5 feet around. I live in Phoenix so our seasons are almost continuous.

We have moved but I did this every year in early summer after they bloomed. You can trim them drastically all the way until August and still have good sized bushes in early spring.

You had me at Chuck Norris. I had a Yellowbells that I ended up cutting to the ground and digging up. It wasn't the normal Forsythia I had growing in my Memphis garden that was relatively well-behaved. This one rooted everywhere one of the tips of the branches touched the ground and was walking across the yard like a large version of the Egyptian Walking Onion.

They certainly do. You can cut them all the way to the ground after they bloom if you want.

We had Kudzu vine growing in our yard...and if you stood still long enough it would start climbing up your leg. 😂

Dry them, package them, and donate them. That’s what I would do with that golden plant.

Not sure why anyone would want yellowbell in their yard. Way too much maintenance and worry for my taste. Thx for the education tho...know to avoid buying this! LOL
