What about those of us who have prayed for years and whose adult children don’t walk with the Lord? This makes me feel like I did it wrong. I didn’t pray often enough or long enough.. it is absolutely heartbreaking to see both of your children turn away from everything they were ever taught about the Lord. Did (do) they not see Him in me? I need to let of this regret and trust He is still working and calling them back. I know this in my head, but getting it to my heart is another thing.

I never really prayed for my 3 girls one went off to college who has chosen a different direction in the kind of partner she just told be she is in a relationship with another woman she just turn 20 yrs old she's stayed in dorm since day one. I know she needs a prayers she's always been a great innocent young girl. She knows I believe otherwise and although my biggest mistake was not showing her more about You Jesus Christ. I have faith and will pray for her to meet a guy with faith and will love her protect her and show her God forgives her. Its never to late to change to ask God for guidance. My second daugther is in her last year of high school and she's doing so far good. I have been praying allot more for my girls. My youngest gift from God continue to blessed with my baby girl who just turn 3yrs I started praying for her now. Star praying for your children's now. Who they are the gutter of this world. In the name Of Jesus Christ I pray for each one of my brothers and sisters my neighbors my co workers for every person I come across today and everyday to guide them closer to you and only You. I feel for all those who have prayed diligently for their children and have NOT YET seen any results. I say to you, do not give up, prayer does make a big difference but the answer is not always instant. I prayed the marriage prayer for my younger son for 12 years and held onto the knowledge that God hears all our prayers and all things are possible with Him. Watch your words because however much you pray, you get what you speak out... and everything is in God's timing and God's way, it is not up to us. We are to pray and believe God is in control and answers our prayers. Well after 12 years he met the "one" he'd been looking for all these years. God is not early or late... "But these things I plan (revelations I promised) won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day." Habakkuk 2:3. Run the race, He is faithful!

Please tell her about domestic violence shelters and counseling. She needs to get out, tell her it's best for her kids to get out. If she doesn't, it's child abuse, seeing her get hurt and they might be getting hurt too. Maybe you can let her and her kids live in your home for a year or two, until she can get the training she might need to get a good paying job. I'm praying for her.

I have always wondered about their current spouses. I am just blown away at what The Lord has done and how he has answered her prayers ! Very.. Very Encouraging!

please pray for my daughter Nicole that I have been wrongfully alienated from for the past 6 years, she is lost and alone in the world and has been used abused and lied to by her father and his family, leading her to belive she must live in hiding the rest of her life. I can not even have an address and I have no way of knowing if she is ok or not. So how do you deal with this. I also prayed for my children from before their births. I also prayed for the marriage partners. My prayers were heartfelt and I truely believed they would end up marrying the right Christian partners. My oldest son and daughter made wrong choices. They have had several partners of whom they never married. My son eventually married an atheist who walked out on him. One big problem for her was our faith. My son tried hard to be an atheist but couldn't pull it off. Now he has found a wonderful women. They have both recently commited their lives to the Lord. They live together but want to marry. My son does not have the finances to go abroad and sort out the divorce so they continue to live together. My daughter also has had various partners. She has a beautiful 5 year old daughter from a previous one night stand. Their is a big story in her life about all of this that I won't go into. She has been living with a man whom we have all fallen in love with and has been a wonderful father to her daughter. Today she told me she has broken up with him for various reasons. The biggest being that he doesn't share her faith! I pray continually for my children...through the heartaches and all. I have a daughter who is happily married to a wonderful man who shares her faith. I also have a wonderful son who would make a great husband a father. He doesn't want to get married. I continue to pray for him to marry the right woman who would share in his deep faith. I know marriage will be extremely fulfilling to him. My life time prayers for my older children didn't get answered ans this has left me with a broken heart. Despite this I continue to pray for them.

I bought your book " The Power of Praying for your Adult Children" over a year ago. I have 6 adult children all whom walked away from God, but slowly I have seen them return. My youngest is Gabriel he was the one I would have long conversations with about God and His word, at age 13 he was so dedicated and learning about God, had the desire to serve him, but when he was asked at a youth service to preach he was well prepared but completely froze up and that brought him to think that he was not meant to serve God. There is so much more to my son's story, to long to share. He has joined the army and during basic training I wrote a prayer journal every day and I mailed him out the letters. He doesn't talk much about God anymore and he doesn't like it when I do. I pray for all my children, and I believe that they all have a purpose in this life. I remarried and added 2 more adult children whom I also pray for, and I pray for my daughter's husbands and for my grandkids too. My biggest worry is them not knowing the Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, to return to Him. I want to thank you first for your wonderful books and secondly for this video, it encourages me not only to continue praying and not give up but to wait patiently, believing in my heart that God will reach them. This comment may come from left field, but the next time you're sifting through your older CDs and cassette tapes in your contemporary Christian selection, check for the producer of the album. Not many people know this, but Michael Omartian, Stormie's husband was, and still is a musician producer who's name is credited to, for about every two to three albums you come across. If you can find them on Amazon or eBay, I highly reccomend getting his music. Some of the albums, they team up with together. One of my favorites that I have is their Mainstream album from 1982.
My son's has mental issue. In prison, makes bad decisions, has anger issues and I know all changes must come from within him. I have prayed but I am publicly asking for prayers for him. He's 27. Please pray for his safety, salvation and his chance to start again.

Please pray for my son that he finds Jesus Christ and confidence as a young man in spite of not having his father alive since he was a year old. My daughter also because she desperately wanted to know her dad and he died before she was born, leaving her with a huge hole and feelings of rejection and insecurity because of the nature of his death. Please God help them to find you, to lean on you and know they are really loved and to help them find their identities as strong Christians in spite of all they've been through in their young lives. I am so sorry that we were led astray into the wrong faith before they were born which may have given them a bad message about you. I pray for their relationships that they are based on love, not insecurity, that they learn to curb their tendency to drink too much, and certainly for my son's lovely girlfriend that she will continue to be such a good influence and to fill each one with the strength of your Holy Spirit.

Wow I'm late hearing this an a bit overwhelmed I hadn't many years with my children when I first got saved they were all already teenagers, and I took quite a fall, now they are all grown and I've grandchildren, and I weep constantly before God for them and quote a Word, that God will contend with those who contend with me, and my children He will save, there are others to as we search the Word, He shows us His promises, and once we've done all we can then STAND Amen on His Word, it won't come back to Him void, but Will accomplish all He sent it forth to do' Thanks for sharing this very encouraging message it did lift my heart.

I feel for all those who have prayed diligently for their children and have NOT YET seen any results. I say to you, do not give up, prayer does make a big difference but the answer is not always instant. I prayed the marriage prayer for my younger son for 12 years and held onto the knowledge that God hears all our prayers and all things are possible with Him. Watch your words because however much you pray, you get what you speak out... and everything is in God's timing and God's way, it is not up to us. We are to pray and believe God is in control and answers our prayers. Well after 12 years he met the "one" he'd been looking for all these years. God is not early or late... "But these things I plan (revelations I promised) won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day." Habakkuk 2:3. Run the race, He is faithful!

If she doesn't, it's child abuse, seeing her get hurt and they might be getting hurt too. So how do you deal with this. I also prayed for my children from before their births. I also prayed for the marriage partners. My prayers were heartfelt and I truely believed they would end up marrying the right Christian partners. My oldest son and daughter made wrong choices. They have had several partners of whom they never married. My son eventually married an atheist who walked out on him. One big problem for her was our faith. My son tried hard to be an atheist but couldn't pull it off.
Now he has found a wonderful women. They have both recently commited their lives to the Lord. They live together but want to marry. My son does not have the finances to go abroad and sort out the divorce so they continue to live together.
My daughter also has had various partners. She has a beautiful 5 year old daughter from a previous one night stand. Their is a big story in her life about all of this that I won't go into. She has been living with a man whom we have all fallen in love with and has been a wonderful father to her daughter.
Today she told me she has broken up with him for various reasons. The biggest being that he doesn't share her faith! I pray continually for my children...through the heartaches and all.
I have a daughter who is happily married to a wonderful man who shares her faith. I also have a wonderful son who would make a great husband a father. He doesn't want to get married. I continue to pray for him to marry the right woman who would share in his deep faith. I know marriage will be extremely fulfilling to him.
My life time prayers for my older children didn't get answered ans this has left me with a broken heart. Despite this I continue to pray for them.

I bought your book " The Power of Praying for your Adult Children" over a year ago. I have 6 adult children all whom walked away from God, but slowly I have seen them return.
My youngest is Gabriel he was the one I would have long conversations with about God and His word, at age 13 he was so dedicated and learning about God, had the desire to serve him, but when he was asked at a youth service to preach he was well prepared but completely froze up and that brought him to think that he was not meant to serve God.
There is so much more to my son's story, to long to share. He has joined the army and during basic training I wrote a prayer journal every day and I mailed him out the letters. He doesn't talk much about God anymore and he doesn't like it when I do.
I pray for all my children, and I believe that they all have a purpose in this life. I remarried and added 2 more adult children whom I also pray for, and I pray for my daughter's husbands and for my grandkids too.
My biggest worry is them not knowing the Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, to return to Him.
I want to thank you first for your wonderful books and secondly for this video, it encourages me not only to continue praying and not give up but to wait patiently, believing in my heart that God will reach them.

I have no problem with you praying all you want about him finding a Christian he likes. That said, I do have a problem if you won't accept him for what he chooses, both in his religious decisions, and in his girlfriend decisions.

This comment may come from left field, but the next time you're sifting through your older CDs and cassette tapes in your contemporary Christian selection, check for the producer of the album. Not many people know this, but Michael Omartian, Stormie's husband was, and still is a musician producer who's name is credited to, for about every two to three albums you come across. If you can find them on Amazon or eBay, I highly reccomend getting his music. Some of the albums, they team up with together. One of my favorites that I have is their Mainstream album from 1982.

My daughter also because she desperately wanted to know her dad and he died before she was born, leaving her with a huge hole and feelings of rejection and insecurity because of the nature of his death. Please God help them to find you, to lean on you and know they are really loved and to help them find their identities as strong Christians in spite of all they've been through in their young lives. I am so sorry that we were led astray into the wrong faith before they were born which may have given them a bad message about you. I pray for their relationships that they are based on love, not insecurity, that they learn to curb their tendency to drink too much, and certainly for my son's lovely girlfriend that she will continue to be such a good influence and to fill each one with the strength of your Holy Spirit.

Pray for my prodical adult children my son who is in a relationship right now and not serving God and my grandsons one is on drugs one is in high school one is in college and my dauther who is an abusive verbal relationship! My middle daughter needs God salvation! I have 2 granddaughters one about to graduate frm high school going to college and one who graduated frm college!

I PRAY for God to CONTINUE TO COVER my 22 year old SON who HAS not ALWAYS made wise decisions. THE past 3yrs HAVE been difficult, from drugs,crime,ANGER issues. BUT I CONTINUE TO STAND IN THE GAP ..I FAST AND PRAY BUT AM WORN OUT☹...

Praise God two year's ago I had my first born turned into adulthood and now my last born is going into adulthood . I'm have been praying for my children since when the doctors told me that my blessings are on the way I fully put them in God's hands and now I will do the same for them as adults.
