I encourage all mothers to not be afraid to completely let go and sign off duty as a mom of adult children. You can keeo praying for them but you dont need to keeo doing for them, planning for them, thinking for them, trying to save them from their own mistakes and definitely not put up with false entitlement and lack of gratitude. Find your own life and enjoy being liberated from being mom. Create your life that is seperate from being a mother. You can decide if its an emergency and you need to step in but let them figure out life without mom for awhile.
You must not be a mother saying what you did. A mother can not sign off duty, her duties might take different expression, but definitely does not end as long as one have children on this earth. We have the example of Mary the mother of Jesus, she was His mother until the moment Christ on the cross knowing that He will die, assigned to her a different son in the person of John the apostle and she still continued the duty as mother with John, and John the duties of son to her. So, once one has become mother, she is mother till the end of her life, if not for her own children in case they passed, for others. Motherhood is a calling, it never ends in this life and this can't change.
Very hard to do but I see this is necessary because our adult children stop being open to any advice. As a homeschool mom, it’s very difficult to just stop passing on advice and instructions especially when you see they are making foolish choices. This season of having adult children is the most difficult indeed! Praying daily for my precious children.
I worryfor my eldest Grandaughter who thinks it's only a story. I pray day and night constantly. I plead the blood of Jesus over her plus my youngest gd and indeed for my whole family

I have children young and adult the more they get older the more the worries I have because they are out of reach. I know my grandparents prayed for me and my siblings. Knowing they went to church and we're strict holy rollers. They prayed for a thousand generations of children and not just their own children. They loved us before we were thought of. Jeremiah 29:11. All of scripture is our guidance.

My adult son and I have always been very close. He and his wife had 4 children, with whom I spent a lot of time. I loved them so much. And they loved me. My husband and I went out for lunch alternating every Friday. Then they had a fifth child! I was delighted!! My beloved daughter and her husband and children lived in California. For reasons yet unclear to us my son’s wife (who, we loved, but had concerns about her) decided that we were no longer allowed to see our grandchildren. The baby girl is almost 5 years old and doesn’t know that I am her Grandmother. We have prayed, as have many friends who love us. My son loves us, but he is controlled by the woman he married. Attempts at reconciliation fail. I don’t know what to do with the pain!

My girls are 40 and 37 both married to wonderful but unbelieving men. - and have both drifted away from God. My youngest has now decided not to talk to me and it’s been a very painful time even though I have apologised for perceived wrong doing, written to her and love her unconditionally. I’m in a good place now as I’ve surrendered them both to His grace and kindness but I’m a peacemaker, but am now stepping away as the accusation was affecting me.....

This is so hard, I pray that they turn and cling to God and your relationships are renewed. Just 2 days ago my adult daughter expressed rage towards me for what she perceived as wrongdoings by me. Even though I apologized she still lashed out I say for her own personality issues that she doesn’t recognize. It’s very hard not to be seen for who you really are by someone you love.
Love them ! Yes absolutely! But when your spouse doesn’t see that and engaging in constant screams and shouts and threats at every single minor triggers is so despairing and frustrating ! How i wish my spouse can even hear this message and hang out with great ladies like Jodie!!

I've been praying for God's help for my adult son for years and years. He struggles with life in many ways. He's been suicidal often. I placed him in God's hands. Nothing has changed. If anything, he is worse . I'm losing my faith.
Please pray for my two youngest adult children to come back to me. I love my children more than life and would do anything for them. The pain of them refusing to talk to me or see me is beyond what I can bear some days. Jesus walks with me and that is the only reason I can face tomorrow. I did my best to raise them. They are very successful in the world and have been given a Biblical foundation and love. I feel they have been manipulated by lies and pursued by others (step-parents) who prefer to be friends and were not supportive of positive parenting.
Please pray for my daughter Emily, that is 24yrs. old and in a relationship with a girl because she was raised by two women and ripped from me when she was 3yrs. old unjustly! She will not talk to me, bc, she was brainwashed against me from three families and the court system too! She attends College and has a car! She works part time, which, I am proud of her for!😊 But, I am worried about her soul and our relationship, reunification!😢 There has been so much interference from other people that I feel there is no hope for us! If u search for that and join I believe they try and fix you up with a prayer partner, or a small group and you pray for each other’s children. Its so frustrating to go through so much as a single mom..and having my adult children say i dont know what im talking about ..i have a daughter that keeps insisting my grandson has autism ( he's 2) she keeps saying he has all these issues she has him in speech therapy now eating therapy..and i know in my heart he is fine..i told her to stop trying to insist there is something is wrong..the docs keep telling he is not autistic..i absolutely hate labelling a child..now she has accused me of caliing him names..which is a total lie ..in fact the very opposite..she won't tàlk to me again..smh
The problem is that my child has one, and the poor decisions that have been made are detrimental to the child as well as herself. That's the most difficult part.
My 21yr daughter is pregnant, living with a 26 yr man who won’t work. My daughter works two jobs and they aren’t making it. I can’t get through to her, so I have surrounded her to the Lord. I just saw this video. And saw your comment. My daughter is 21 moved out got an apartment with someone who doesn't even work. He cheats on her takes her car to meet other females. She had ne take her to a hotel lasniggt he was at she saw the location on her car.but then she got mad at me because I lost my cool with him. She ends up leaving with him. Now she is mad at me. Back I November I had to take her to her car when he wss cheating. I don't know what to do.
@@susieparham3501 it’s painful. My daughter ended up getting pregnant and married. They now live with me, and I support them and their beautiful baby. They have one yr. He is now working, however she still babies him, and does everything for him. It’s still difficult but I’m trying to give it to the Lord and doing what I can as unto him. Have had some tough days. But I’m at peace the more time I spend with the Lord. Hang in there and don’t give up. ❤️

I know my grandparents prayed for me and my siblings. Knowing they went to church and we're strict holy rollers. They prayed for a thousand generations of children and not just their own children. They loved us before we were thought of. Jeremiah 29:11. All of scripture is our guidance.
Thank you for this encouragement today is my Youngest Daughters Birthday is today. i would love to hug her and tell her how much I love her, but she has not or will not speak to me.(It has been over 5 years) my heart breaks but i will pray these scriptures as I have for many years

My adult son and I have always been very close. He and his wife had 4 children, with whom I spent a lot of time. I loved them so much. And they loved me. My husband and I went out for lunch alternating every Friday. Then they had a fifth child! I was delighted!! My beloved daughter and her husband and children lived in California. For reasons yet unclear to us my son’s wife (who, we loved, but had concerns about her) decided that we were no longer allowed to see our grandchildren. The baby girl is almost 5 years old and doesn’t know that I am her Grandmother. We have prayed, as have many friends who love us. My son loves us, but he is controlled by the woman he married. Attempts at reconciliation fail. I don’t know what to do with the pain!
Oh this breaks my mama and grandmama’s heart. I pray for a breakthrough! These children need their grandparents and you need them! I’m so sorry.

Pray and fast is my only advice.
I have discovered that my Mom prayers are like a giant duster over my adult children. I cannot make anything happen but I can lovingly dust away the confusion and the lies that they are battling today.

My girls are 40 and 37 both married to wonderful but unbelieving men. - and have both drifted away from God. My youngest has now decided not to talk to me and it’s been a very painful time even though I have apologised for perceived wrong doing, written to her and love her unconditionally. I’m in a good place now as I’ve surrendered them both to His grace and kindness but I’m a peacemaker, but am now stepping away as the accusation was affecting me.....
I understand, and am in a similar situation where my two adult girls are not speaking to me. I am also in a much better place myself, and have decided to step away because repeated attempts for a relationship have not been returned.

I struggled did much to gain my daughter back for very long time. finally after too much pain I had to let go. its been years. but my daughter is reaching out to me now and told me the night before my recent birthday that yes it was hard for both of us a a single parent familybut I gave her good memories even nun with financial hardship. didn't think is hear test until maybe? my deathbed. in not dying so I thank God for years of praying that my daughter is now coming to me! prayer is the key. boy it hurts very deeply waiting for an answer. that we night not see until heaven! it has brought some healing for both of us

This is so hard, I pray that they turn and cling to God and your relationships are renewed. Just 2 days ago my adult daughter expressed rage towards me for what she perceived as wrongdoings by me. Even though I apologized she still lashed out I say for her own personality issues that she doesn’t recognize. It’s very hard not to be seen for who you really are by someone you love.
My daughter always dumps me too..it hurts because i need that bond but shes got better things to do and people to see
Love them ! Yes absolutely! But when your spouse doesn’t see that and engaging in constant screams and shouts and threats at every single minor triggers is so despairing and frustrating ! How i wish my spouse can even hear this message and hang out with great ladies like Jodie!!

Please pray for my two youngest adult children to come back to me. I love my children more than life and would do anything for them. The pain of them refusing to talk to me or see me is beyond what I can bear some days. Jesus walks with me and that is the only reason I can face tomorrow. I did my best to raise them. They are very successful in the world and have been given a Biblical foundation and love. I feel they have been manipulated by lies and pursued by others (step-parents) who prefer to be friends and were not supportive of positive parenting.

Please pray for my daughter Emily, that is 24yrs. old and in a relationship with a girl because she was raised by two women and ripped from me when she was 3yrs. old unjustly! She will not talk to me, bc, she was brainwashed against me from three families and the court system too! She attends College and has a car! She works part time, which, I am proud of her for!😊 But, I am worried about her soul and our relationship, reunification!😢 There has been so much interference from other people that I feel there is no hope for us! I Love my Daughter so much and miss her!😢💔There is so much Evil in this World and it worked through people in my life Badly!!!!😢

If u search for that and join I believe they try and fix you up with a prayer partner, or a small group and you pray for each other’s children. Its so frustrating to go through so much as a single mom..and having my adult children say i dont know what im talking about ..i have a daughter that keeps insisting my grandson has autism ( he's 2) she keeps saying he has all these issues she has him in speech therapy now eating therapy..and i know in my heart he is fine..i told her to stop trying to insist there is something is wrong..the docs keep telling he is not autistic..i absolutely hate labelling a child..now she has accused me of caliing him names..which is a total lie ..in fact the very opposite..she won't tàlk to me again..smh

My 21yr daughter is pregnant, living with a 26 yr man who won’t work. My daughter works two jobs and they aren’t making it. I can’t get through to her, so I have surrounded her to the Lord. And I have cut off the money unless she moves home, he is not included. It’s so painful. Thanks for the interview.

I just saw this video. And saw your comment. My daughter is 21 moved out got an apartment with someone who doesn't even work. He cheats on her takes her car to meet other females. She had ne take her to a hotel lasniggt he was at she saw the location on her car.but then she got mad at me because I lost my cool with him. She ends up leaving with him. Now she is mad at me. Back I November I had to take her to her car when he wss cheating. I don't know what to do.
@@susieparham3501 it’s painful. My daughter ended up getting pregnant and married. They now live with me, and I support them and their beautiful baby. They have one yr. He is now working, however she still babies him, and does everything for him. It’s still difficult but I’m trying to give it to the Lord and doing what I can as unto him. Have had some tough days. But I’m at peace the more time I spend with the Lord. Hang in there and don’t give up. ❤️
