The tracks are from the real Corkscrew rollercoaster which opened in 1980 and closed at the end of 2008. It was the main ride that turned Alton Towers from a local funfair to a world-class theme park, and when it was demolished to make way for Thirteen at the end of 2008/start of 2009, the corkscrews were kept in storage whilst the rest of the track was melted down and re-used as part of the theming for Thirteen. During 2009 they were repainted and reconditioned and as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations in 2010, the park repainted them and placed them at the front entrance where they are today.

Does the smiler really have a cobra roll but it’s okay not everything is perfect Alton Towers is really big so it’s hard to recreate it
