- Hello friends, if you want to have a perfect bowling action then this is what you are looking for! In this video I have sorted out TOP-10 bowling actions [Acc. to me]. After watching videos of almost all fast bowlers & after analysing their action I have prepared this video for you.
Fast bowling requires a basic sequence in order to achieve a technically and biomechanically correct bowling action. So watch this video till end so that you may also be able to bowl like that!
NOTE: I have selected bowlers on the basis of both technical part as well as smoothness / rythmic nature of their bowling action!

As it's not possible for me to have all the bowlers having nice & perfect bowling action within one video.

Then don't say 10 most technically correct bowlers. Jofra Archer kept breaking down- his action was therefore not good. You also seem to have forgotten there were good bowlers prior to the 21st century. Lillee, Hadlee, ( similar actions), Imran Khan, Holding, Garner, Marshall, Sobers. Then we can look at times way past with Titmus, Larwood et al. I find your selections a very poor list.

Brett Lee's action is very simple & effective. U can adjust deliveries in last minute to. I have tried it's very flexible.
Yeah speed is too easy to raise
But that landing demands a lot from the body.
You can bowl fast with your present bowling action.. You can increase the pace by just adjusting the release timing..

I think Anderson, stayne, Shahin, Bhubneshvar, Shami, Macgrath, Donald, Nortze, Mohammad Amir all have near to perfect biomechanically correct bowling actions.

lee’s action was lethal. it actually gives impression of 150+ kph ball speed. and to avoid batsman to watch the ball grip in his hand how perfectly the action help him to hide hand behind his thigh and the next move is throwing the ball only so batsman couldn’t get time to read the grip.

Dennis Lille had one of the best side on actions. Michael Holding's action looked effortless - a bit like Jofra Archer. Lillee and Holding for me. Also Richard Hadlee from NZ.

Mohammad Shami has a great bowling action. Its simple, repeatable, high arm, Skiddish etc. Same is true for Steyn. Shami use shoulders more, steyn uses his back more (bit more injury prone). Both great to watch.

Yeah man Shamis action is very simple and effective one but the perfection will take a lot of discipline, more than others. Just the symmetry is wow.

Brett Lee had a beautiful, fluid, efficient action that let him bowl sometimes at 160km/h. Easily best action how he smoothly builds up into a coil and then releases like a rifle shot.
Compared to the others in this video, who all look very correct but somewhat stiff, Lee looks like a slinky. Amazing flexibility. Flawless bowling action but very taxing on the body. It’s extraordinary that he was able to play in over 70 tests plus all those one dayers. My favourite bowler.

Bro both Nortje & Anderson land the front foot not straight but pointing towards to the first or 2nd slip so the body is falling not front but to the side. This is Lateral flexion error.
It works for Anderson, look at his longevity and the amount of wickets he's taken, but yeah, if you're looking for technically correct then a lot of bowlers will get left out.

I am really surprised that Allan Donald, Shane Bond, Michael Holding, Sir Richard Hadlee, and Courtney Walsh are not on this list... But that's just me and my opinion.
I feel Donald had the smoothest action of any fast bowler to date.
Although the inclusion of Dale steyn and Pat Cummins is justified... both of them had a butter smooth, fast bowling action...

Notable exclusions are West Indian fast bowlers, in the late 70s to early 80s, especially Michael Holding, aka rolls royce of fasites - who rated by many as the ideal fast bowler. Never seen such a smooth action coupled with elegance & speed. In fact, most bowlers shown here idolized him!

I think aesthetically Imran's action was great but caused too much stress to his shin hence the long lay off at the peak of his career. But Richard Hadlee and Lillee were wonderful too.

I have similar action to Brett lee, i have good pace and length but I have no control on line, i bowl 2-3 wide every over.... How can I improve it?
yeah with Brett lees action you are gonna get a natural one quite wide outside off if you are bowling over the wicket. I also have a similar action and what I usually do to counteract that is I bowl from quite close to the stumps and really focus on coming over my front foot.
