      Many thanks, I always try to explain when I can why we do a specific drill or exercise to the jumpers. If they understand the rationale then they are more likely to invest in it. And if they do this the returns should be greater.

      3-5 sets of 6 make sure you perform max intensity… 2 x a week…

    We must do off the weight right? I have 5kg weighted vest. But you generally say that contact time must be short.(basketball player try to dunking)

      The old Soviet research indicated that adding weight to drop jumps did not benefit. The prime concern was the coefficient of reactivity - ability to get off the ground quickly. The harder you hit the ground everything else being equal the higher you will jump (more power will be produced)… see drop jumps as a base builder for high power, use other means to add to this. Basketball and high jump have slower ground contact times than long jump and sprints so you could do work at slower GCTs … however, the better you get at expressing power quickly the better jumper you will be. There’s a lot to it and you need to use a balanced training programme… take a look at this video on ground contact time as it may help understanding SPRINTING & JUMPING | GROUND CONTACT AND FORCE APPLICATION
