Now with flu season coming, bad decision in my book. My mom and me still wear ours, and will continue to do so. And we will also be getting the flu shot, as we did last year. I purchased the Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with spf a couple days ago and am loving it! I have also been using the Equate Gentle Skin Cream as my nighttime moisturizer and it is so thick and hydrating I just can’t get enough of it! My skin feels so good after using it and it looks so much more healthy and glowy.

We were told for years to wash off sunscreen at the end of the day. Are we to do that still? Dr. Dray said we don’t need to wash off anything but the moist areas but in order to get sunscreen off it seems necessary to scrub.
I can't get on board with all those No7 products at higher prices when I get all my moisturizing needs with Vanicream's facial moisturizer for $12 where squalane is the 2nd ingredient. It leaves my skin so soft and smooth. :)
I’ve been using the Aveno sunscreen for over a month now and I quite enjoy it, it is the previous version though, with only SPF 50 and I guess because of that it was on clearance 🙊 so I decided to give it a try (not expired). I have very sensitive skink and Fitzpatrick 2, I’ve found NO cast or irritation with this sunscreen, fragrance free and I’m quite surprised that no one ever mentions it on the “drugstore options videos” so I’m very glad you’ve noticed it. I think is an excellent, extremely affordable no-cast alternative and would LOVE to hear your review on it ❤️

I live in Houston. The Aveeno sunscreen is great in the humidity. It has a very strong smell of alcohol, which dissipates as it sets. The only cons are it stings the eyes and collects in my facial hair/eyebrows.

As usual, great video. I was at Target yesterday buying skin care, and opted for my go-to basic moisturizer for my face and body: fragrance free Lubriderm. Please review Lubriderm! I've been using it for years and it's so inexpensive, effective, and gentle. It's a great non-greasy primer for makeup.
That Aveeno hydrate sunblock is amazing!! That’s the one I use on my face daily and it’s hydrating without it being sticky, shiny or oily. And you can put it around the eyes without it stinging! I live in Florida and it’s super light feeling and won’t sit heavy. Definitely don’t want anything heavy with our heat and humidity here 😬☠️

I loveee that Aveeno face sunscreen! I live near DC, so summertime is humid and miserable. That stuff was a lifesaver. It worked well under my makeup, and on its own it dries down satin matte on my combination oily skin. It is not eye friendly (runs and stings after a bit), so my solution was to use Target's sport SPF 50 around my eyes and then Aveeno everywhere else. Worked like a charm! There's also a body version of the sunscreen which has fragrance, but smells delicious. Loved it for my arms to get them nice and glowy for a brunch or lunch out 😁
Dr dray do you ever do target makeup reviews?? I would love that kind of video! With dry and acne prone skin it's so hard to find good makeup that's a decent price(and doesn't wreck your skin), just an idea, love your videos!
A lot of derms recommmend dermablend. She's got a few makeup videos but yes, focusing on the ingredients. Dr Idriss and Dr Bunting both have videos on their makeup routines. Dr. Sheila Derm has a video on Ulta makeup for acne. Cosmetic Laser Dermatology's Dr. Sabrina Fabi has an acne makeup routine as well though she uses more expensive products.

I love the Aveeno protect + hydrate suncreen!!! It's affordable, pretty accessible at different drugstores, does not leave a cast, it absorbs well and quickly, gentle around my eyes, and it does leave a shine but I kinda like that aspect. It smells like their lotions and is not overwhelming to me. I would recommend it.
Dr Dray, I've been really enjoying Benefit's mascara Bad Girl Bang! Worth a try if you've not already. I'm from the UK and umm, I can't say the loss of red dye in foods is something we moan about. And we moan about a lot 😉

Dr Daniel Sugar is a fan of the AlphaRet (it's also sold in his office). Dr Alexis Stephens recommends the Alto Defense and Overnight Serum. Dr. Ania Marie, MD has also reviewed some of the products including the Sunbetter ones.
I live in Dallas and used Aveeno 60 this past summer when I walked early in the morning. It's kinda thick and heavy but did the job. I will repurchase it.
I tried the Womaness microdart patches. Versus the ones by zit killer and Mighty patch, they cover more surface(great for multiple zits together) but don't seem any better than the other two brands. Though they don't have tea tree oil, so that's great for those allergic to it. The redness and hyperpigmentation claims aren't any better at clearing compared to a daily gel treatment. Which I find much more comfortable than an adhesive patch on the face.
A dermatologist being an honest consumer, yes please. 🥰 Thank you for this too by the way! I personally have been dealing with chronic chin area acne and/or brown & mild red spot scarring there, for over 5 years & whenever I consider seeing a dermatologist, there's something subconsciously there that spooks me to even see one or find it just won't help me whatsoever, in due to expenses. Though, will be seeing another primary doctor & hopefully get referred to a derma. sometime. Maybe giving in, ends up helping. 🤷♀️
Would you teach us how to apply the products you see? I tap in oils, press in serums, rub in lotions. And you mention why a kit would include lotion and serum with retinol. I agree. That seems wrong. I think the appeal of the poppies is strong. I’m about to travel and I like the idea of filling a weekly pill container with skin care. Right?
That Aveeno sunscreen is my daughter’s favorite. She is prone to dry/dehydrated skin and gets some redness but she does not have any issue with the alcohol in there. I wish chemical filters didn’t irritate my skin so much because it is a nice feeling sunscreen. The Cetaphil acne wash has been my savior recently, it has a pretty bad smell but nothing that lingers. My skin can’t tolerate fragrance so I’m used to just getting whatever the formula smells like. I want to try the moisturizer too but I have too many going so that’ll have to wait.
I know you did a review mentioning the Timeless Vitamin C and E Ferulic Acid serum but would love to see a review of the other Timeless products that Target carries.
I used squalene products by Biossance and it made my skin burn so bad. My skin is pretty sensitive. Using Tatcha rice wash and it is so nice on my skin and doesn't burn AT ALL. I know Tatcha is pricey, but it was worth it and I've never found another rice wash like this, or a rice wash in general.
I just tried the waterproof bambi eyes mascara. Terrible! It was so dry that I could hear scraping sounds during application. My eyes felt irritated for days after just 2 uses. Maybe the non waterproof is better. Also, I realized I prefer a bristle brush to a synthetic applicator.
I have used the lift-off and hydro-star pimple patches from starface and personally, I find the the hydro-stars are the best of all the products they sell, the pore strips really do not do much and I fear the cleanser, but the patches work amazing! plus, they are stars! what's not to love about stars?
Oooh that Aveeno protect+ Hydrate spf 60 was a good find. Had no idea it existed lol. Good one Dr. Dray. This is why i love shop with me videos, There's always something new to discover.
I personally can't stand it around my eyes but it's a good body sunscreen if you get the big bottle from Amazon. Same product that, last time I bought it, didn't contain fragrance. It is a bit greasy going on but dries down well.
I have it and it’s very liquidy and separates in the bottle. Give it a good shake and if you have sensitive eyes ( like I do) then be advised. Not sure I’ll repurchase.
I know you have a great video on foot care, but have you considered doing one that has a more shop with me vibe? Perhaps explaining what products are just “x” with different packaging? I feel like the foot care space in my CVS is getting more of that sciency skinceuticals vibe and I am not sure what to make of those products. I do not recommend that Aveeno sunscreen for oily/combo skin. It does not dry down matte despite the alcohol and left my face shiny. However, it's not drying despite the alcohol in it.
I've been using the Pacifica vegan ceramide cream for about 3 weeks now - I only use it at night since it is a bit thick, but my skin feels good in the morning and I'm not having trouble with breakouts from it. It may be firming the skin a bit, but it's too early to tell. I don't know that it's any better than the elf moisturizers I had been using before I got this one.
I’ve tried the new Aveeno and was impressed. I think I like the hydration of eucerin with sunscreen a little better but I can’t knock the high SPF. Great for the price
Recently tried that Aveeno sunscreen on a trip to Austin and I would definitely use it again! It feels a bit greasy upon application but didn’t get super messy with the crazy humidity over there! ☺️

I've tried the vegan ceramide cleanser and moisturizer! The cleanser is okay. It does not remove eye makeup whatsoever though! So better as a second step cleanser 😊 the CeraVe cream to foam cleanser is way better though,and that one does remove eye makeup. The Pacifica moisturizer is great! It's thicker and hydrates really well! I get chapped cheeks very easily, and this is really helpful for that 😊 I'd by the moisturizer again, but won't buy the cleanser again.
so you would recommend the new ceramide moisturizer from Pacifica? The fragrance fee one in the purple jar? I have been thinking of getting that for the winter months but wanted to know how good it is first

Ooo this was fun!!! Just did my shopping there yesterday. Yeah the THICK body wash is nice. Very viscusity… I stopped using it since you recommended the cetaphyl (cerave) bar cleanser. It’s been really nice. Thoughts on the sun bum sunscreen? And lip care?
I find that the clearasil patches stick fairly well, and you get more for your money than some of the other brands out there. Edit- I'll admit, I do still buy the other brands when a good sale happens though!
They don't stick to me at all, but I have a lot of trouble with stuff sticking to my skin. And my skin is dry dry dry, so it's not like it's excess oil making stuff not sticky. But bandaids, kt tape, all kinds of stuff, I have to be very picky with bc it often won't stick and idk why.

I heard it is good but it is not cruelty free so it is a no go for me.
No7 has studies to back up their claims. They are better than vanicream if you want any change. Vanicream is just a moisturizer nothing more.

I had that same issue! My workaround was to use a sport sunscreen around my eyes and then Aveeno on the rest of my face. Worked well!

She doesn't wear makeup except mascara so her reviews would be on ingredients only instead of from personal experience use

I really like the SkinBetter products. The AlphaRet is a very good retinoid.

The Cetaphil Deep Hydration cream does not have fragrance in it. A previous version did have an overwhelming fragrance.
I live in Dallas and used Aveeno 60 this past summer when I walked early in the morning. It's kinda thick and heavy but did the job. I will repurchase it.
I tried the Womaness microdart patches. Versus the ones by zit killer and Mighty patch, they cover more surface(great for multiple zits together) but don't seem any better than the other two brands. Though they don't have tea tree oil, so that's great for those allergic to it.
The redness and hyperpigmentation claims aren't any better at clearing compared to a daily gel treatment. Which I find much more comfortable than an adhesive patch on the face.
Peace Out has some of the microneedling patches that master esty Penn Smith Skincare has recommended.
A dermatologist being an honest consumer, yes please. 🥰 Thank you for this too by the way! I personally have been dealing with chronic chin area acne and/or brown & mild red spot scarring there, for over 5 years & whenever I consider seeing a dermatologist, there's something subconsciously there that spooks me to even see one or find it just won't help me whatsoever, in due to expenses. Though, will be seeing another primary doctor & hopefully get referred to a derma. sometime. Maybe giving in, ends up helping. 🤷♀️

Would you teach us how to apply the products you see? I tap in oils, press in serums, rub in lotions. And you mention why a kit would include lotion and serum with retinol. I agree. That seems wrong. I think the appeal of the poppies is strong. I’m about to travel and I like the idea of filling a weekly pill container with skin care. Right?

That Aveeno sunscreen is my daughter’s favorite. She is prone to dry/dehydrated skin and gets some redness but she does not have any issue with the alcohol in there. I wish chemical filters didn’t irritate my skin so much because it is a nice feeling sunscreen.
The Cetaphil acne wash has been my savior recently, it has a pretty bad smell but nothing that lingers. My skin can’t tolerate fragrance so I’m used to just getting whatever the formula smells like. I want to try the moisturizer too but I have too many going so that’ll have to wait.

I know you did a review mentioning the Timeless Vitamin C and E Ferulic Acid serum but would love to see a review of the other Timeless products that Target carries.
I used squalene products by Biossance and it made my skin burn so bad. My skin is pretty sensitive. Using Tatcha rice wash and it is so nice on my skin and doesn't burn AT ALL. I know Tatcha is pricey, but it was worth it and I've never found another rice wash like this, or a rice wash in general.
There's one called Apothecary Rice and Clean. It has a handful of ingredients, rice, chamomile and vit e.

I just tried the waterproof bambi eyes mascara. Terrible! It was so dry that I could hear scraping sounds during application. My eyes felt irritated for days after just 2 uses. Maybe the non waterproof is better. Also, I realized I prefer a bristle brush to a synthetic applicator.
I have used the lift-off and hydro-star pimple patches from starface and personally, I find the the hydro-stars are the best of all the products they sell, the pore strips really do not do much and I fear the cleanser, but the patches work amazing! plus, they are stars! what's not to love about stars?

I personally can't stand it around my eyes but it's a good body sunscreen if you get the big bottle from Amazon. Same product that, last time I bought it, didn't contain fragrance. It is a bit greasy going on but dries down well.
I have it and it’s very liquidy and separates in the bottle. Give it a good shake and if you have sensitive eyes ( like I do) then be advised. Not sure I’ll repurchase.

I know you have a great video on foot care, but have you considered doing one that has a more shop with me vibe? Perhaps explaining what products are just “x” with different packaging? I feel like the foot care space in my CVS is getting more of that sciency skinceuticals vibe and I am not sure what to make of those products. I do not recommend that Aveeno sunscreen for oily/combo skin. It does not dry down matte despite the alcohol and left my face shiny. However, it's not drying despite the alcohol in it.
I've been using the Pacifica vegan ceramide cream for about 3 weeks now - I only use it at night since it is a bit thick, but my skin feels good in the morning and I'm not having trouble with breakouts from it. It may be firming the skin a bit, but it's too early to tell. I don't know that it's any better than the elf moisturizers I had been using before I got this one.

I’ve tried the new Aveeno and was impressed. I think I like the hydration of eucerin with sunscreen a little better but I can’t knock the high SPF. Great for the price
Recently tried that Aveeno sunscreen on a trip to Austin and I would definitely use it again! It feels a bit greasy upon application but didn’t get super messy with the crazy humidity over there! ☺️

I've tried the vegan ceramide cleanser and moisturizer! The cleanser is okay. It does not remove eye makeup whatsoever though! So better as a second step cleanser 😊 the CeraVe cream to foam cleanser is way better though,and that one does remove eye makeup. The Pacifica moisturizer is great! It's thicker and hydrates really well! I get chapped cheeks very easily, and this is really helpful for that 😊 I'd by the moisturizer again, but won't buy the cleanser again.
so you would recommend the new ceramide moisturizer from Pacifica? The fragrance fee one in the purple jar? I have been thinking of getting that for the winter months but wanted to know how good it is first

My skin in the outer corner of my eyes always cracks open and most out there cant handle the job of healing that bugger. I have to use ointment but during the day that is messy

Ooo this was fun!!! Just did my shopping there yesterday. Yeah the THICK body wash is nice. Very viscusity… I stopped using it since you recommended the cetaphyl (cerave) bar cleanser. It’s been really nice. Thoughts on the sun bum sunscreen? And lip care?

I find that the clearasil patches stick fairly well, and you get more for your money than some of the other brands out there. Edit- I'll admit, I do still buy the other brands when a good sale happens though!
They don't stick to me at all, but I have a lot of trouble with stuff sticking to my skin. And my skin is dry dry dry, so it's not like it's excess oil making stuff not sticky. But bandaids, kt tape, all kinds of stuff, I have to be very picky with bc it often won't stick and idk why.
