Wow Morgan, it looks really cold there ! Yes, the goats are wonderful but it is a big responsibility to look after them all year round !

It has been chilly around here but it is a nice change of pace! We love our animals and always want people to know what they are getting into before signing up for them :)

In my knowledge through research and experience, goats do better in hot dry climates. Nigerian Dwarfs primarily. Less parasites.

Very cool! Ours do amazing where we are with the right preventative care they are happy and healthy goats 😊

Extreme heat is way worse than extreme cold! (IMO) 😁 Animals are amazing at adjusting to weather but could always use a little help. Predators are a big issue for me but wild dogs are incredibly more dangerous than coyotes or wolves. 😳 Feed chickens cat food? Very interesting! 🤔 I want to get goats to clear weeds, saplings and ground cover. WOW taking care of goats is really like taking care of a dog or cat! This was really in depth and helpful! Awesome! 🧡

I couldn't agree more, everything adapts to cold way better than heat! We absolutely love our goats but they are more work and require more maintenance than most people ever realize but in our opinion they are 100% worth it!

@@TheWyomingHomestead I love the detail you went into for the goats. I have watched a few videos on goats and not a single one mentioned all the stuff you did. No collars for the chickens though right? 🤣

@@AloneinRemoteAlaska thank you so much! 😊
It’s funny you mention the chicken collars, back when we had chickens in the city Sam was convinced he could walk the chickens so got them a harness… turns out they didn’t love that 😂
