It’s not about the culture. Unfollowing, unfriending and deleting past contents are based on preference. Like what Ashley said, it is also a respect for your current partner and not because they are “seloso” or “selosa”. People just move on differently.

There is a difference between, archiving it to deleting it. if you want the content to be your most valued memory and still viewed by just you (you can Archive it - This I think is the healthy way and less dramatic) but if you wanted the content to be "still" accessed and shared to a lot of people and more new people to see it, then let it out there for people to have an opinion about it more (personally, I don't think its healthy cause it can cause a lot of discussion on your next relationships and people around you, Topic like comparison of life "former vs new" ). All uploaded content in the internet (picture videos or blog) is like a raging water, if you wanted to limit the areas it may lead to, you have put some plug on it to stop it from flowing to other misleading direction. If we relate it to Health "Prevention is better than cure". But then again, its your life your choice. thank you for sharing your life to us. respect prevail
How would you move on if you will still get updates from your ex? I mean if the breakup happened recently, you'd want to disengage yourself in the meantime until you learn to live your life without the other dba? After you've both moved on then probably you can be friends again or at least "social media friends" lol

What does ego have to do with it
The problem of having a breakup in the Philippines is that almost everyone thinks its a bad one, that one or the other cheated, or break the other ones heart. They cant get the fact that people can go on and live in their separate lives amicably for a reason they deemed acceptable in their part.

It really depends on every individual. I’m still friends w all of my exes on and off social media even though we didn’t end well. They’re good friends still, but my boyfriend gets really jealous about it so he asks me to delete my old pictures and stories with them. I understand naman 😊

I guess it's different to everyone. I know women tend to do these more than men, I've seen influencers/actors delete the pictures of their exes. Just like my ex, from another country, deleting his posts about us when we stopped communicating.

It’ll take time. LOTS OF TIME. People will remember the ex but people 👀 here and there especially the good times. But the man is human with feelings! Perhaps this podcast is his way of closure but who knows, they may or may not get back together. At this rate, I don’t think it’s gonna happen. His ex seems to want to keep her personal life out of the lime light. However, another way to see it is…Alo (and Will) is/are gonna have it much much easier on the next relationship.

Di naman talaga sila bagay from the beginning. Si Will energetic at enthusiastic na American tapos si Alodia parang mahinhin na filipina tapos conservative at mahiyain sa camera. Si Will laging vina vlog at document ang buhay niya tapos sila Alodia at pamilya niya parang hindi sanay na may camera. Parang kailangan ready muna sila bago makunan na ng camera. Hindi compatible yang mga ganyang filipino sa americano.
