This is a Nice rig! My Daughter has the Windigo. She Loves that thing. It's a great platform. She go Fast and crawl if she wants. This is purely a crawler and that was something allot of people wanted. This body will fit the Windigo so that gives us another option. Great job Redcat! Stay safe and bash on from Colorado!!!
I was going to buy Trx10.3 for my birthday..I'm so glad I saw this new truck. I have the BLACKOUT RAMPAGE XT 1\8 SCALE ROCKSLIDE CRAWLER 1\6 SCALE SHREDDER TRAXXAS EMAX TRAXXAS TETON A TANK DJI MAVIC MARKSMAN (STILL TO COME) I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS. I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL REDCAT FAN SINCE I BOUGHT MY SON HIS BLACKOUT 7 YEARS AGO. NICE WORK GUYS
I like the larger size and with the bigger size the 2.2s look scale. I really like the scratch through paint job. I've got two of the original Gen8s and may have to look to add this into the collection. I love the 1080 and Holmes motor combo, it really is one of the best first upgrades and you already did that!
Brother Oscar. Nice to see your transition in careers. Happy for you. I enjoy this unboxing vid. Keep it up bro. You speak well and are very relatable. Maybe build and clean up trails with you yet again someday. Hope to see you next year at ASD. Money was tight this year.
Yes. I have picked up a Camo X4 cage and I am playing with how to mount it on my Wendigo, but a dedicated body swappable option from Redcat would be awesome!
I feel the Marksman TC8 is more of an "extreme trail" truck. With the AZ mountains being so rocky especially the top half of the trails the rocks get bigger and more extreme. My Gen 8's and my fried rigs all have a point on most trails where they just get impractical to continue. Where if I go on my own I have a custom built rig on Axial AR60 and 2.2 Maxxis Trepadors that Gets over the larger obstacles thus not limiting my hikes to the top of like South Mountain or Camelback. I replaced it with a Wendigo Kit long wheel base built originally with the same HH 5 slot 12t Crawlmaster motor. This truck with the longer still wheel base will fit the bill even better! I am hoping Santa brings one! Though I will probably swap the the Wendigo kit wheels I have as they are slightly taller and dig into the sandy loose dirt really when on the bottom half of the mountain trails. Please release new knuckles with more steering throw! I was able to get 4 degrees more steering by massaging the C-hub mounts and using counter sunk flat head, but it needs more. Keep up the good work!
Loooks really sweet!! A couple of things from other videos on this Marksman. Steering was pointed out as weak, sloppy, and wide turning radius. Another is torque twist. I am on the border of choices to purchase a crawler/bouncer. Is there a solution to fix this to help me decide on a purchase??
I own aGen 8 V1 and i own the Gen 8 axe so i think i can put my 2 cents in.First i love redcat and my crawlers i have beated them to death and only probs ive had are leaky shocks and alittle bump steer on V1.So my question is has the steering geometry been fixed and is there any bump steer?Just dont know how to feel about the marksman yet.why didnt they put the brushless axe system in it?
I would guess. Yes geometry is better because the wendigo already has better geo because the difference in axles and longer panhard bar. Second the brushed system is by far less cost. 200 vs. about 80 bucks
Love this new platform Redcat!!! Would be an amazing review for my channel…hint hint!! Lol. We are huge fans of the Gen8 v2 and we hope we can get a Marcsmen in the future. Truly an epic launch in the crawler world. Keeping the price reasonable is also key. I love my HH Crawlmaster Sport in my TRX4 Sport and reviewed it with amazing results so for you to choose that motor was nothing short of great!! Also keeping this “screaming American” by using HH is awesome. Especially since HH is based out of Missouri my home state. That’s so great to see HH being used for production models now. All around looks to be amazing. Please send one our way ha ha. Seriously send one!! 😀
It's awesome I'm waiting on it... Or I can just do up the Wendigo n make it a crawler with a lil speed n lots torque... @redcat are y'all still sponsor the rc fest in Payson AZ this October??
Hell I’ve been running the Holmes hobby 13t crawlmaster and hw1080 on 3s since the wendigo kit came out haha, I even did the scratch through paint job on the wendigo 👍
i really wanted to get a 1.9 scaler like the scx10 gen 3 but then this got shown and i want it. only thing is i feel like its similar size to a wraith and i dont know how to feel about that. i want that scale look but i dont like how the wraith crawls. guess we will have to see. the hobby wing esc and holmes hobbies motor is amazing though
i hope you answer my question because in the next days i want to order a crawler. is there any scale parts in the internet for this scale or this big? and is there any parts in general if something brakes or a aluminium parts ?
I'm shocked we haven't had any big manufacturer take their standard 2WD platform, cut out the windows and put in a support rollcage & drivers (kinda like the Mojave I suppose) and simply call it a Pro2 race truck. No need for a spare tire on the back (extra weight bad for bashing and that's what you see largely in trophy trucks). I'm talking a good ole Pro2 race truck. (yes I understand those are solid axle but independent suspension all around is far superior for bashing & jumping) But you're right. Keep 2WD alive. Not every RC has to be north of $500 (I know Redcat you're better at this than most)
WHY THE F@#$ did it take so long for manufacture to start making bigger solid axle trucks ? I HATE 1/10 .... BIG is better in the REAL WORLD. I have been custom building 1/8+ scale solid axle trucks for 20 years now (Twin Force axles)

I got my best friend the Gen8 for his wedding gift. Going strong a year later, it’s a badazz truck. We are stoked to get a Marksman
Want it! Awesome collaboration RedCat hats off! Now yall need to do a Bouncer chassie with them axels!
Yes. I have picked up a Camo X4 cage and I am playing with how to mount it on my Wendigo, but a dedicated body swappable option from Redcat would be awesome!
Absima Yukatan, gentlemen. Absima Yukatan, That's a real 1/8 crawler

Hope the wheel wells and drive shafts work with the wendigo. Also hope there will be metal drive shafts for both.

Both is very nice . Can't wait to get one of the marksman .

Nite and day different. Not a wraith
Just got my Redcat Marksman! Looking to upgrade to a real winch, are there any specific ones that bolt right up?
Love it! 👍
i hope you answer my question because in the next days i want to order a crawler.
is there any scale parts in the internet for this scale or this big? and is there any parts in general if something brakes or a aluminium parts ?
Yes plenty of replacement and aftermarket support for this truck!
Does it have multi speed tranny, overdrive, and locked diffs?
Have a Wendigo but wish I'd have waited for this 🤣
this rig looks tight, love all the things it comes with too!
When are yall going to get in the mini scale market
might get on my christmas list
I love it already and I will get one
Can a winch be mounted on it
Yes, a scale winch can be mounted to the existing bumper. You would just have to remove the Faux winch
wut is the brass south for it
any idea when they will be back in stock? (or just in stock period)
What kind of tires were you running on the windigo
Look stock 2.2 irok
When do they release this?
I want to know if the winch actually works?
Need some running video!👀👀👀
Can you change the head with the axial skeleton head
Yes.
So it must be pretty lousy if they won't show us what it can do on the trails right? I will keep my axials and vaterras..
Don't be a hater. Patients.
Drop it early!
We need a 2wd caldera!!! Keep 2wd alive.

@@SteveSoper1979 precisely
No one has done any run video yet :(
Are you guys going to provide any information about this RC car or just continue to talk
No portals, no diffs. 😕
So I want one BUT!!!!! of course they are "OUT OF STOCK". WHY,WHY,WHY do you tease us so??????
