You said you owned a GoPro and DJI action cams in the past, what generations did you own?

DJI Action first edition and Hero 9, so yes this Insta360 is a huge upgrade, considering it’s year’s newer technology.

@@DarkroomZombie That is a huge upgrade over both of those cams. The newer GoPro generations are way better than the Hero 9 and several of the issues the old processor had. They fixed most of the issues you mentioned besides shooting in low light. Insta 360 Ace looks like a good cam, but I staying with my GoPro's for now.

I considered the New GoPros when I got this one, but I do most of my action sports after work usually near and after Sunset. Wanted a cam that could shoot in low light. GoPro still has issues doing so with good quality. This cam does awesome during lower light. Plus the price was awesome at the time $190.00 Also I never need to edit the video quality settings in post recording. The color, levels and contrast are prefect out of camera. Never had a camera do that before.

It is nowhere near a GoPro killer.

I 100% disagree. I have had many GoPro models in the past that have not been capable of so many of my needs. The poor quality in low light with image stabilization is so awful. The poor audio recording. The overheating camera shut downs in the middle of shooting while doing my sporting activates. Lost footage thanks to many camera crashes or overheating has been totally frustrating. The poor quality GoPro editing software which they never fix. There a endless list of problems the GoPro has cause over the years for me. This new cam is way better in many areas where the GoPro has failed for me and many others I know that used them. All those issues I had when using my GoPros are now gone using the Insta360 Ace. That is a huge GoPro Killer for me. I doubt I ever go back to GoPro again. Between Insta 360 and DJI the action cam future is bright.

@@DarkroomZombiehow do you feel between this camera and the action 4?
Also, the Insta360 app vs DJI mimo (on Android, which needs to be side loaded annoyingly/suspiciously IMO...)?

@@kinguin7 I do not use the android app. I have iOS iPhone. Even then I do not use the Insta360 app at all. I take the mirco sd card and transfer the footage to my computer to edit my films with iMovie. (I do this with all my video cams) Also I do not own a newer DJI camera the last DJI I had was the Osmo v1.
