As previous poster commented, this is C, G, D, G, C, D, Orkney, a beautiful and versatile Celtic tuning, ;-)

Such a VIBRANT composition....and played with a radiant passion. Almost sounds a bit medieval. I love this song. Well done.

    "Orkney” tuning (C, G, D, G, C, D, low to high)....a popular alternative to DADGAD.

Whenever i pick up my friends guitars i try to play clawhammer (as i play the banjo). Your playing is definitely an inspiration. I was curious if there are any well known players that use this style on guitar, I can't think of anyone?

That is the most effective use of clawhammer technique on an instrument other than the banjo that I've ever heard. How funny it never occurred to me to try it on guitar myself!

I use to play the claw hammer strum on the four strings ukulele. How do you avoid picking the wrong top 3 strings with your thumb on the Guitar? I played both guitar and the Uke.

Hey, excellent playing, really enjoyable! Quick question, these harmonics you do around 1:30, is this the same technique explained here : watch?v=Epgz5yrNsJM around 0:40
Marcel Dadi use the right index at the (relative) middle, and the thumb to actually produce the sound.

I've just realized that this is basically sawmill tuning on the banjo with the 6th string on the guitar tuned down to C. I've started messing around with this, but man, I make a racket with the 6th string slap on the frets when I come in with the thumb. Is the CH stroke on the guitar just more across the strings than down into the drum as it is on the banjo?
