I really hope the NeoAlice retains many of the innovations the Neo lineup has brought in. The 80 really punches way above it's class and hopefully it pushes the more premium boards to innovate more as well. I think this would be a great board for those that want a daily and are coming into the hobby. To think that we were looking at a plastic TKL Tiger80 at this price not long ago. Now Neo have this as a running instock board WITH customization options. I really do love the ball catch system closure and with the magnetic pogo connector, and it literally taking seconds to open the case for rebuild with no fear of damaging a JST or ribbon cable, I want to see this on more boards.
@@impointrmood. I love the way the first two neo boards looked but I reaaaaaally don’t like how it looks for some reason. Like weirdly chonky feeling despite it not being actually chonky.
@@MsToshi1990 part of me doesn't mind because its going to pick up the refinements from the other boards along the way. the original proto they showed on ig a while didn't have the ball catch mechanism or the magnetic pcb connector, for example
I have moved beyond budget boards but I always keep up with neo and QK boards just because I am waiting to pick up a pink board from them. It just gets more and more crazy how good budget boards are getting. There is almost no reason to move beyond budget boards if all you care about is sound and feel. Love your videos, keep it up, man!
Loved the shoutout to AKeynote, he goes hard on the sound tests for sure, absolutely wild! Appreciated the many builds you did and appreciated the commentary as always! Just curious, what springs are you running in your Gat Xs? I just saw TX released some UXL springs (22mm long) and am stoked to try them out!
He really does! It tends to differ, this load was stock springs but I usually go for dual staged 22mm! Those sound sweet, gonna have to add them to my list hahah
@@Charo.mp4Nice! I’ve tried a lot of dual/triple stage springs and feel like a lot of them are a bit loud even after lube, hoping since these TX springs are single staged they’ll be least finicky!
Would you say the sandwich mount have top mount vibes? Seems like every typing test with it gives off the top mount spacebar sound signature and that would be interesting for newcomers to experience
I don’t know if I’d say so much top mount vibes, but definitely a more “traditional custom” sound and feel! Which I completely agree, isn’t something we have really seen offered to newcomers so far
subbed and liked the video... one question, REALLY OFF-TOPIC, can you give info about your earrings? I see they are captive bead rings, do you know the caliber (14g, 16g, 12g) and the diameter of the ring?
Maybe this is a weird personal preference but I don’t really like the aesthetics of this board. I feel like the thinner bezels on the sides and between the keys and numbers but a thicker case on the top of the board it feels disproportionately large. Like a small car with a really big windshield. I really liked the aesthetic choices on the neo70 since that was small all around and I’m largely a sucker for frl tkls with sleek looks like the neo70 or the pluto. Just my two cents but I feel like compares to the neo70 the neo80 just feels lack luster in terms of aesthetics.
lol pro tip for anyone who has any board with ball catch design. Spend the extra 5-10$ for a hotswap PCB. I have my Cycle7 with a ball catch and now I can’t rebuild and tinker as fast as if I had both balls and hotswap together. lol I do like soldering though so I guess I could desolder lol
Calling this a budget board is purely financial the quality and options are top notch frankly spending more seems a waist. That’s why I got two of them instead of one frog tkl of witch I could not find an eu vendor for..so customs fees would be a killer for the frog..the only other board that has my attention is the cycle8 purely because the anno colors are out of this world and same ball catch system 1.6mm pcb split right shift and 6.25 spacebar exactly what I like
Indeed. I order a neo70 beacuse I missed the Cycle7 but I will buy the cycle8. The colors are amazing and the build quality is better than 500 eur boards. This hobby is going nuts with so many nice options.

sameeeee. I am so upset they delayed it for all the other boards!
You and me both hahah
Pray that it looks better than Neo80 tho...

100% agree with you, thanks so much for the kind words!!
Wow I'm in the exact same boat as you (even need the same colour board as well haha), just out of curiosity did you end up going with the pink Neo80?
@@esseyhabte306 no, I didn't end up going with the neo80 just because a TKL without F13 is a deal breaker for me. Looks and sounds amazing though

Just ordered a Neo65 yesterday off Ashkeebs and I am so excited to receive it in a few months😁😁😁
I hope you enjoy it!!
This really is the perfect board to get into the hobby with
Enjoyed the video man! If you have the time, can you do a desk setup video? Your desk looks super clean.
Thank you! I’ve been thinking about it for a while, so will definitely get a video up on it!!
Loving your content so far. Love how you show soundtests without foam. Shows the real characteristics of the board and switch. Love it
Thanks so much!
Editing for this video is so enjoyable to watch, all the puns and memes were nice. A good change of phase.
Thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed it!
this would slap with some proper silent switches, I bet it sounds just like a topre.
This board is so perfect for me, the only thing holding me back is the $40 usd delivery from canada and currecny conversion fees

Thank you sir!

Thanks so much man! Believe the 75 is next!

I ordered an all black neo80 as well since I actually dont have a single black keeb lol

Your videos are so fucking good bro! So glad to see your channel growing. I don't even want to upload my neo80 vid now lmao. 🔥
Thank you king! Excited to see how you build it up! Hahah
i wanna get one but they don't ship to New Zealand :(
You could get one from Switchkeys
Struggling to choose between the neo80 and neo70, how would u say the sound signatures differ from the case?
The 70 is “brighter” in comparison sound wise for sure!
