You can’t allow another coach to get you so emotional that you don’t make adjustments. We still had plenty of opportunity to win the game and failed to make it happen. Illinois had a really good game plan to contain Sellers.
@@jeffreyblanton9877 I really think it was more of Mike Shula the new oc making an emphasis for lanorris to stand in the pocket and throw the ball. He was hesitant to take off and run but when he did he had success. I think the new oc shackled him.
@@spurman20He really didn't have much success running the ball. He had 11 carries for 19 yards.
South Carolina seemed like they just couldn't control their emotions.
@@porschepal7932 not talking designed runs. I’m merely talking his willingness to take off and run out of the pocket. Numerous times he would’ve been able to make something happen and chose not to.
Yeah if this is all it takes to put this guy off his game then they need to change their mascot from the gamecocks to the limpcocks.
Dude, tried being shady, got called out for it and freaked out.
Literally lmao
Nothing shady about it…did you not hear him say he cleared it with the officials?
@@thecomicdrillIf you have to "clear it with officials" it's shady. Just play the damn game and get rolled by a big10 team like the sec is good at.
"If you check the rules with the officials, youre shady"
These folks didn't go to college
@JD-bu7vt
Just because you clear something with the officals pre game doesn't make it shady... I've seen plenty of times catching everyone off guard with a play, including the officials typically backfires with a bad call from the refs. Im not a fan of either team and have no bias here. @JD-bu7vt
This guy's never going to eat Cheeze - Its again.
Ha that’s very unfortunate
‘Just wait till next year’ . Former SC Coach Jim Carlen 1977..
How can you take a guy surrounded by CHEEZ-ITZ seriously?😂
I was born the cheesiest coach!
Have you seen Bret Beilema?
😂
you dont get to select your sponsor.
Its the Citrus Bowl and it’s been round since 1947.
Nothing says “Citrus” more than Cheez-Its
Beamer's behavior was adolescent. Oh the rage. He got butt hurt by Beliema then threw a hissy fit.
He had every right
What does that make Butliema then??
That coach and entire team should be find for that childish behavior
agreed get revenge buy winning the game not act like a 10 year old
You obviously didn't watch the game or know anything about Beamer, he's by far one of the best people in NCAA, Illinois was taunting Beamer because of his late subbing. Beamer is Sec Coach of the year and a class act
Talking about bush league????? While admitting he coached his players to do something that is universally recognized as allowing a touchback and then running it out? That's what's bush league.
Beamer is a baby
I woukd T poae for every kick return
@@tylerroseman3423 you only get one. Every south Carolina kick off return will be covered, t bar or not going forward, as they got exposed. That means more unnecessary hits and concussions for their players over the course of a season. Unfortunate for them
Overstate much?
Listen to the explanation as long as you don’t wave your arms like a fair catch it’s permissible so as the refs said it’s not a penalty you may not like it but it’s not a rule infraction.
Wait a minute...now that the details have come out, I don't blame Bielema a bit. That kickoff trick was bush league and could get someone hurt.
Its not a trick if it is allowed Bielema doesn't know the rules of football and he has been a coach how long ( he is bush league)
There’s a “safety factor” at play. I think that’s more of the issue, not the fact that they tried a deceptive play.
@@geraldbargo1916damn can’t believe SC lost to a bush league coach then. I thought yall were supposed to be a playoff team 😂 weren’t yall crying about SMU a couple weeks ago??
Bielema got exactly what he wanted out of Shane. Like an older brother poking you until you lose your sh**. Well done Bret Bielema...not only did you win the game, you won the mental battle as well. On a side note, probably should've been taunting on Bret but either way, classic.
As a Gamecocks fan I totally agree!!! Beilema STOLE his lunch money today. 😂
get on a treadmill Bielema and learn the rules
@ricknelms lol. If you have to clear it with officials before you do it...thats crap. It's like a fake slides for a quarterback. Is it legal? Yes. Is it an abomination to the game? Yes
@@ricknelmshe is a big one, but I bet his wife is WAAAAY better looking than yours 😂😂😂😂😂
Bielema showed SC who the officials work for, reverse it and watch and SEC coach fined.
If lack of accountability was a person. Yall tried a sneaky move and he called you out for it.
Beamers are special team gurus. Get a life.
So he admits to instructing his players to perform a signal that most would interpret as end of the play (for player safety), then takes advantage of young players coached to let up and not tackle (for player safety) and thinks he's smart for doing so. He then gets mad at Bielema for calling him out on it. Kind of like a stab in the back after a good week of friendship and good sportsmanship. Bielema then proceeds to have his players perform extra slow substitutions that cost Beamer at least one timeout that prevented him from getting the ball back at the end of the game. Which coach got the last laugh?
No way a man as weak as Beamer could have made it during the 1970s. My high school coach would have made him run off the field crying.
Its legal. Cry more. Sorry you lost bigly lmfao
@@DetectiveTrupo203Illinois won
@@R.E.M.954 Shane's dad is FRANK BEAMER. Frank is rich enough to get the whole school shut down after that. That's why Shane acts the way he does, grew up with too much protection from daddy he's not ready for the world
They still could have snapped the ball while Illinois was substituting forcing an offsides on Illinois but they just let the play clock run out for some reason
0:12 Brent didn';t walk over to your sideline, he walked to check on his player who was close to your sideline,
focus on winning Beamer, leave all that other b.s for casuals.
I get so tired of the SEC hate. Stop hating the player and stop watching the games. Especially Ohio St. I don't know which is worse, the chicken kicking Oklahoma recieves in the playoffs EVERYTIME. OR Ohio States record vs the SEC
Where is the full interview?
Shane Beamer looks like the mechanic down at your local shop, trying to explain to you why you need $700.00 worth of work on your car, when all you came in for was an oil change!
😂
Your attempt at a parallel was weak..... nice try though, I guess?👎
@@King5150Ed Yet, you're here!
The irony, huh?
Ladies and gentlemen,
"Kings5150Ed," is a troll!
Yeah and Bielema is the guy who said "ok sure I will pay it".
@@King5150Ed Then, why are you here? Did you even attend South Carolina, nor graduate?!
Im a lifelong SEC fan -- this explanation seems even worse. If true then the Illinois coach is right because it is a sh!tty tactic trying to deceive based on game accepted hand signals
Want to get back at Bielema? Win the damn game! That's all you need to do. You got played by the opposing head coach AND you lost the game. Loser.
SEC with exception of Texas and Georgia is a DUMPSTER FIRE this year.
On a side note, before leaving Orlando Bret Bielema ate the Cheezits Citrus bowl making him the cheeziest.
Grow Up Coach Beamer - What kind of example are you setting for your Team and School - You let the other coach get under your skin and you lose control of yourself - Your a loser on two counts today - For the Record Im a SC Fan
This Gamecocks fan agrees with you 100%. I was embarrassed watching that game with my kids. Totally lack of self-control. He makes Dabo's sideline antics look like Tom Landry.
It’s a cultural miscommunication. In other conferences that gesture from Bielema means stop acting unsportsmanlike, but I guess in the SEC it just means more.
Football coaches are like politicians: you've got to be smart enough to know the game but dumb enough to think it matters. Both are meatheads.
Neutral fan here…really didn’t think it was a big deal till things blew up because of the South Carolina coach went ape crap nuts..made the rest of the game interesting though
Agreed...
Beamer is SO SOFT. If you need to clear it with officials before the game it’s probably a shady play. Legal. But shady. Then to get mad when the other coach does the touchback gesture at you? He didn’t flip you the bird. Didn’t even say a word. And you lose your mind? What a CLOWN.
"shady" is that a penalty GTFOH
@@ricknelms No you just have a weak ass coach. That's what that means. Talks big in the presser after the game. But did'nt address it at midfield.
"Legal but shady"
How does that work ?
An example of legal but shady would be a quarterback inititating a slide to avoid a hit but to pop up and continue the play. Legal? Yes. Shady? Absolutely. @SamC379
This goes in line with QB's faking a slide or sliding late, but complain when a defender lays them out. A returner spreading his arms like that will only get hammered, and coach Beamer will be complaining the loudest when that happens.
The only bush league thing that happened was Beamer acting like a cry baby
really and you wouldn’t have been pissed.
Shane is 2-0 in Death Valley tater
Settle down lesbian
This would have been a great press conference if he would have won. Oh well…
Southern Excuses Conference it just means more. Still got beat.
Means more? Matters less!
Dude, if you needed to ask the official you know you were trying to be deceptive. Just play football next time.
Plenty of coaches ask officials about these things
It was within the rules or they wouldn't have let him do it.
Are trick plays deceptive? Should they be banned too? Delusional
But they need not tweak with player safety rules. They will cause defenses to start annihilating return men who aren’t frantically flailing they hands on fair catches.
I’m South Carolina alumni and was taken by the behavior of Coach Beamer. It should not be anything someone can say or do to you as a HEAD coach to run out on the field ready to attack the other coach. You should fight for your team no doubt but there is a line not to cross when leading young men.
It was embarrassing. He spoke on the other coach behavior but he should take accountability for his own as a Head Coach. Not a good move Coach Beamer representing South Carolina.
I love his passion
*Great move by Coach Beamer. He handled the situation perfectly.*
Him and that mouth breather at florida are winners. Always charging the field
@@ColbyePresentsby losing the game? If you had $ on the Illini I understand but otherwise...
I agree. I was embarrassed to be a SC fan today and it’s sad to see our fans excited about Shane’s behavior. We are such losers when it comes to our football program. We tolerate everything in the hopes someone will make us relevant.
Beamer has to grow up. You’re not getting fired so no need to throw temper tantrums right after you tell your players to control their emotions. It only upsets you if you let it.
I’m a diehard Clemson fan and hate everything UofSC but I had to root for them after that
Beamer’s overall behavior during the game was atrocious and indicative of failed leadership and a total lack of professionalism.
I support Beamer. He should not have been taunted by another coach! Belemia was the one out of line!
@@steveknight6398*. Beamer was out of control throughout the entire game.
I agree…it was bush league but Beamer went nuts though making it bigger than warranted just my two cents
Beamer got mad because Bielema gave him the new SEC sign.
Watch this catch on. Big Ten is tromping the SEC.
Ok, that's a dick move. It's like that team that faked a fair catch and then ran it for a touchdown. Or almost like "wait! it's the wrong ball" thing that the kids do.
It’s a legal play. Teams should be coached to expect the unexpected. Jesus Christ
Football is a competitive game. Teams will do trick plays from time to time. It’s also like a QB doing a fake slide or acting is though he’s going out of bounds, and then running for more yards or a touchdown. Both instances defensive players are expected to ease up on the QB. Damned if you do, definitely damned if you don’t
The CHEEZ🧀IT response ever! lol
Goat 🐐 comment for bowl game
Dude pushed some buttons and you lost your sh*t. Funny af😂😂🤣🤣
I'm glad there's a thread where we can actually read the comments of SC fans who do not support Beamer's antics yesterday. The University TH-cam page literally sensors comments that call out his BS. Shows you how soft he really is.
Never in my years have a seen a coach act like such a clown. He's wrong and deserved to lose. He's the bush league
Must be a clemson fan
I agree. There was no need for him to get that worked up about it.
South Carolina glorifies that type of behavior. Poor Shane gets run over by these type players. He has to act like they do to try and fit in. I bet he practices the latest dance trend to clown in front of the team. Shane is so cool. Isn't he cool?
What is bush league?
@@joshuaepps4698 I'm a lifelong Carolina fan and I agree with him. What Shane did yesterday was far worse than Dabo's sideline bafoonery.
Chicken Coach called a shady, bush league play. Got called out for it and reacted like a child. Oh, and by the way the Chickens lost the game!
Dana White needs to line this fight up in the octagon. IT'S TIME!!!!! The coaches are ready to rumble!!!!
Dana White needs to line his own fight! People would pay money to see that!! 😂
Nah. Beamer's not in Bilema's weight class.
Haha very true!
I lost so much respect for a Dana after he did that cash grab with that OF employee think her name was jelly bean
Big Ten won the Natty last year, and went 4-1 vs SEC this year in bowls. And Big Ten will probably win the Natty this year too. Clearly the best conference in football!
This guy is a whiner n type of coach I wouldn't want my kid playing for. Show some class n maturity. Ya the other coach should have gotten a taunting penalty
Just another SEC crybaby coach. Maybe he and Kiffin can call each other and console each other.
Btw ESPN, this is the conference you hooked your wagon to? Great job.
typical ESPN
He absolutely Cheezed it 💯
Last season I remember Tennessee got called for a penalty because the returner brought a kickoff out of the endzone when his teammate that was no where near the play held his arms out for one second, without waving. Guess Heupal didn't meet with the refs before the game lol
2:20 Bottom line is Illinois beat thier ass, offensive line dominated on first downs all game, illinios defense was better, Illinois actually scored an extra touchdown and the referees called it a fumble when I do believe the ball probably crossed the line before he fumbled it South Carolina got pushed around that field all game long
Remember Shane was the guy who stole the Wake playbook when he was working for his Dad in a game that VT still could not win and only managed a tie. One would think he would have learned a lesson years ago, but it appears he did not learn anything.
Explain the connection of that to this today.
He’s like that coach in the Waterboy
@@JJDSports2012 it's an implication of irony. That a guy who already has been caught being slimy without results is still willing to try to be slimy, and again with lackluster results.
@@JJDSports2012 Just like when Shane was an assistant for his Daddy, he still likes to cheat to win. Shane has never stopped being a slippery little dude who is not good enough of a cheater to not get caught doing it. Beamer could have gotten kicked out of football when he stole the Wake playbook and apparently has not learned from that experience. Get it now?
BS Beamer. You stretched the rules to the point of questionable ethics and Coach Bielema called you on it. You lost it because you know you were wrong. Ask your daddy…
Yeah, I'm not a Bielema fan at all, but this was a BS move. 100%.
Tough loss, Sellars had a chance, Man was open, Threw it low and behind him.... I am ignoring this issue between coaches....
As I recall South Carolina was the one that got the Michigan playbook they stole from Tenessee when south carolina beat us 60-0 I think. The players said: It was like they knew which play was coming. Duh. Apparently they did. Not sympathy for them after that. Seems like they've got a history of deception. Don't know if it was Beamer or someone else. But the culture in that locker room needs to change.
Krishnamurti said to observe your anger. I pity the coach’s wife- “ I said scrambled not fried, damnit !!!”
Bielema had an injured player referee was right there crowd noisy did substitute player signal for communication with the official. Unfortunately, the opposition coach has a short emotional fuse
Cry baby. Whined the whole game.
Yes, he looked like a total clown.
He’s a spoiled brat. Has always got treated special because his Dad coached at Va Tech
really and u would not have gotten pissed in his shoes come on now
@@danasalyer8852A simple "Oh bleep you" to Bielema would have sufficed I think.
He knew his assistants would hold him back. That's why he acted so tough.
What happened to all those ridiculous and biased Vegas/ESPN odds of Bama +15 and SC +10 pt favorites??
This guy wins the crybaby of the year award. He was crying all game 😂
Blud never heard of lane kiffen
Oh good call…Kiffin is a whole different kind of troll
Nope...Kirby Smart then Lane Kiffin for crybaby of the year awards. Beamer a close 3rd.
Yea Shane nice try. Bielema had every right to do what he did. You got it wrong son.
I woke up feeling the cheesiest, coach! 🧀
😂😂😂
Beamer should never be allowed to coach again. His explanation and justification of the play call is worse than the play itself.
Shady Beamer doesn't like being called out.
Some deceptive actions shouldn't be allowed. This faux touch back signal and Oregon's intentional 12 players on the field to run time off the clock aren't football. If you have to do that to win you didn't deserve to win. Karma bit Oregon in the ass with 41-21 ass kicking by the Buckeyes.
Lmfao
Imagine making the T sign, and then a meltdown happens in your workplace. haahaha.
Man I swear I was thinking the same thing lol
Shane The Beat Around The Bush Beamer
I loved it all the way around myself. Just shows the competitive fire from both coaches. No pansies in this game which was refreshing and an enjoyment to watch.
Beamer doesn't want none of Bielema
No. Bret has about 200# and all sorts of attitude on him. He does not
He came over because that was where his injured player was. You are speculating. Big 10 team beat your sec team.
Man the sec is so soft.
How many times have we seen a current, or retired sec coach, complaining and whining while losing?
Cry harder.
This makes 2 times we can’t have time off and win a bowl game!!! Do better because our fans and players deserve better and our players need to be ready to play!!!
He was trying to cheat
No he wasn’t .. the refs agreed it was not breaking the rules .. but it was deceptive which is ok
Aww... bless his heart 🤞
Shane Beamer is now property of Bret Bielema.
Still not sure what he was so pissed
Lol. Beamer is butt hurt he got called out on his shadiness trying to skirt the rule and then taking the L. Just not a good day for him.
Which rule?
@Chicken-Emperor bielema explained it after the game. The sign is used by most NFL and college teams to signal a touchback and avoid unnecessary injuries and collisions for players on both teams. Beamer even acknowledged that they use their sign because 99% of teams use it as a signal for a touch back. Not illegal, just no class or confidence in the ability of your team.
@@D3y-s1g So not a rule at all then.
Not a rule, just a safety thing done by every team. I'm sure every opponent of South Carolina next year will ignore any t-bars they see and plow every gamecock they can on every kickoff because they will never know when beamer is faking the sign
i still dont know what he was so pissed off at
College football is losing its way and it forgot where they came from.
That's my overall opinion.
Well just cry about it!
What an entitled little 5 year old. He damn sure couldn’t have withstood Steve Spurrier’s psychological operations! He’d stroke out!
Oh my God would the Head Ball Coach run laps in little Beamer's brain. He'd be salivating at the sight of this. Happy New Year to you for that thought my friend! 🥂
Quit whining you got beat Sec is getting beat up by the Big ten
Check the rulebook. Hilarious coming from a Coach who was crying about the substitutions.😂😂😂
It's a stupid rule, like many in so-called college football. So few grownups in Lawyerland.
Hurry up offense should also stupid.
Boy Bilema really pressed your buttons pretty easily
Anybody who knows college football knows Bret Bielema is a no nonsense, old school coach and doesn't hold back! Shane Beamer deserves the Oscar for that performance, because he knows that Brett Bielema would have throttled him...easily!
Absolutely, old school coaches will never complain if you beat them playing hard nose, fundamental football, but when you use "gimmick" plays to win, you, your players and your entire coaching staff are seen as "gimmicky," and you lose respect!
Look at Georgia tech, for ten years they were a "gimmick" team and for ten years they got their butts handed to them, because old school coaches don't like that BS!
Beamer was complaining about late Illinois substitutions. Bilema taunted him about it.
SC was slow to substitute and the defense is allowed to responsd with their own substitutions. Go faster and dont sub so much if you dont want the defesne to sub.
Beamer makes the Harbaugh brothers look like models of complacency!
Maybe you should stop with the late substitution bs. He was just holding you accountable.
That was a terrible play though they almost turned it over in the end zone
A middle-aged man wiho has the emotional maturity of a 14-year-old kid is a sad, sad sight.
Children.
Thank you so much for the presale drop news on XAI207 🙌🙌🙌
Bert is an idiot yes....... But why keep substituting and playing into Illinois hands?
because the officials were using it as an opportunity
"It’s the rules" he got punked by the rules. Pretty ironic, huh? @whatsup3270
Shane is a very emotional coach. Bielema got into his head and allowed him to self implode.
Man the amount of people here who don't know the substitution rule one, and then 2 completely cutting out South Carolinas responsibility in that situation is astounding. No the defensive player does NOT have 3 seconds to get to their position after the offense substitutes. Use your head that's not physically possible. The Defense has 3 seconds to decide if they are going to substitute and initiate the substitution, 15 to 20 seconds is reasonable for guys this size to get to their position. If South Carolina had an issue with it maybe they should have called their substitutions sooner rather then letting half the play clock run down giving Illinois the opportunity to run it the rest of the way down. I swear anytime something doesn't go the SECs way they start calling for rule changes because their attempts at gaming the system didn't work.
Let's scrap and be done with it. Coach vs Coach. Screw the respect, let's do it.
Bielema grinning at Junior was the best. LOL Cry Cry Cry!
That's a meme waiting to happen for sure
Beamer had a chance to address it with the coach at the handshake but he said NOTHING.
He acted tough while his coaches were pretending to hold him back and at this presser, but at the handshake?
When it was just him and the other coach? NOTHING.
Illinois coach totally big brothered him....
So is the NCAA going to respond to this bs maneuver like they did after Dan Lanning 12 men? Frankly if I was Illinois coach I would have been pissed as well.
Can you explain what SC did that was legal yet many are saying was slimy? I have not seen the replay.
@ they had the receiver of the kick make a movement that looked like a fair catch and then they did a lateral and ran the ball back. It technically wasn’t a fair catch because he supposedly didn’t finish the signal.
Imagine speaking deceptions like this guy while keeping a straight face
I agree with beamer but we got beat
Shane had also complained that Illinois was breaking the huddle with 12 men which is a penalty. While being interviewed on the sideline.
My man looks like he manages an Applebee's
I’m pretty sure this coach walked out next to the Illinois player and said something which head coaches don’t do
