  • In this episode, we head back to Baja for the second time in three months to explore a bit of the Pacific Ocean side of the peninsula. We enter Mexico through Tecate, travel to Ensenada, then work our way down the coast to Cataviña and Guerrero Negro. Having improved our Spanish a bit, and generally having a better understanding of how to navigate the Mexican culture in Baja, we are able to enjoy the trip on our terms. We go deeper into the central desert and experiencing more of what veteran travelers call the 'real' Baja.

    Very cool, can't wait to see the rest! Glad you guys made it thru the la mordida, hopefully not too much lighter.

      Yeah, we held our ground about taking care of the ticket at the station. They let us go. Would've been a 2900 Peso 'lightening' LOL.

    Great vlogg, well crafted. Where precisely is the place you are setting camp, just after Catavina? Looks amazing, like a catcus garden!

      Don’t recall exactly, but I remember the trail to the camp is almost directly across the road from the petroglyph site or thereabouts. Thanks for the comment!

    To avoid police shakedowns you should always have a camera recording yourself. Ours has a twenty minute loop.

    • @FurthurOffRoad
      @FurthurOffRoad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We started doing this on our last trip. Definitely changed the dynamic during the routine stops. Didn’t have any stops by the Policía this time though.

      Just imagine the kind of shake downs, Mexicans have to deal with coming north… gringos got it pretty easy going south.
