- Note: The cover of this reissue edition of recordings from Fritz Lehmann en.wikipedia.o... names the orchestra as the "Radio Liepzig Symphony Orchestra". But according to the original 1951 dated cover of this issue (plus the labels of this c. 1970's reissue LP) - the "Symphony Orchestra of Radio Berlin" is what we hear on this disc.
In addition, both the labels and covers of this reissue disc give the information that it's "a stereophonic record" - but it's not, of course (or, not exactly). It's an "electronically re-channeled to give a stereo effect“ record. However, I have to admit that this instance of re-channeling is not nearly as fake-sounding as some efforts at "sound modernization" I've encountered from the 1970's (and maybe this is the reason this disc was so confidently called "a stereophonic record" and the listener is advised on the back cover to "use stereophonic cartridge only"). But it still sounds exactly like what it is: a disc of recordings made c. 1951. Therefore, it has not been altered.
