  • As house prices rise, the dream of home ownership for many Māori is becoming an impossible dream. But, the Ranga-Bidois whānau from Ngāruawāhia are showing Māori that home ownership is possible, as they aim to build homes for their whānau. Its more than 20 years since Māori housing provision was taken out of Māori Affairs. The Ranga-Bidois project is part of the government's $35 million dollar project. Potaka Maipi attended the opening of their first three houses.

    Far far farrrr better than the nuclear family model. Nuclear family model places too much pressure on two people and with 1 in 3 marriages failing, it's not good for the young ones.
