Karakia, belief and forgiveness bring Kanea Hicks back from the brink

An unprovoked attack almost 18 months ago left Kanea Hicks with injuries so serious doctors stopped giving her drugs to fight infection.
However with the support of her whānau and Te Arawa kapa haka groups this feisty trainee teacher is fighting her way back from a senseless act of violence.
