I love love love when makeup artists don’t edit out the bloopers. Everyone makes mistakes. People new to makeup and even people who have been doing makeup for years but still struggle, need to see that not everyone is perfect at it. We all struggle with poking ourselves with mascara, primers don’t set properly, eyeshadows sometimes don’t cooperate. I hate seeing videos where you can see someone didn’t blend well, then in the next shot it’s absolutely flawless. Like I want to see THAT process. Walk me through the troubleshoot you do to fix something! That’s how we learn. I love you so much for exemplifying this!!!
Get the dupe revolution pro day and night palette. I have that and I swear the blue in that palette is exactly the same. In fact all the shades looks so similar to this Pat McGrath one and it costs £12 in UK. Worth every penny

As far as that primer I call that "the new product effect." It's like that hope that a new product is going to change EVERYTHING. It can sometimes carry a product through to where you think it's a miracle , but then the second (or third or fourth) time you use it you are finally seeing it for what it really is. I think it's maybe the same kind of thing that makes "the placebo effect" and "love at first sight" a thing. Either way the look came out glorious anyway!
Sayuri Jackson there is the similar blue eyeshadow in the makeup revolution galaxy palette, it also has other bomb shadows so if you want something on the affordable side i recommend that one, it’s very pigmented :)

When mascara gets on my face I let it dry then use a spoolie to scratch it off. It doesn’t disturb the base at all, for me.
