I am an autopilot enjoyer and I like lazer, but autopilot in stable and lazer act completely different. Stable is smooth and moves as you would expect while lazer is very jittery and teleports a lot rather than swiftly moving to the next circle. Help plz 💔

Yea i felt the same when checking some Github Issues. Even tho the Codebase seems well structured it's really hard to get a grasp of the dependencies between different files, interfaces and classes.
Just some advice: if you don't know where to start with making a PR, first you should seach PRs, issues and discussions to see if somebody already proposed this before. If not you should create a new issue or discussion so see the opinion of the devs. If it's positive, you can ask for pointers or ask if anybody is willing to implement this. In this particular case of pitch adjustment feature, there was an opened PR for this, which looked quite complete, but for some reason it was inactive since 3 months. I simply bumped asking why is it not being merged and 1 day later it was picked up again and merged xD

One feature I would like in Lazer for FL would be an option that makes the flashlight size stay small even if you miss. It sucks doing practice difficulties and having to restart because you missed and now your visible area isn't small enough anymore. You can kinda do this by increasing the multiplier and toggling the option that keeps the visible area from constricting, but a dedicated feature would be nice.
Since we can give feedback here, when I tried lazer one thing I didn't like was the setting "Scale osu!mania scroll speed with BPM" doesn't exist. You can only do it by ms and finding the sweet spot for that isn't fun.
@@DeanHerbertMooCow I know that, but with that, you would have to change the scroll speed every single time you change beatmaps. And the scale with BPM option existing in the stable version means that adding it in the lazer should be no problem.

i'm a beginner mania player and i play it on lazer just to improve and these changes really made my accuracy pop off :D nice stuff, did not get those 2 star map S's yet though but i'll get there soon enough i think
so nice to see genuinely good features being implemented constantly. my suggestion is to adjust hold off in mania, it reduces score but gives more pp most of the time because some patterns become incredibly difficult. I'd suggest turning a slider release into a note only if there are no slider start or other note within a certain period before or after it
Haha, sorry. Back when I wrote hold off originally it looks like I didn't think very far through, and left this mess for others to clean up. Originally, I did actually add a note at the end of a hold, I think it was if the note was more than 1/4 of a beat after the beginning, but others with much more skill in mania agreed that that was a very unnatural feature :) and manual no-hold-note edits apparently never put end notes either, so they got rid of this feature around August. (GitHub issue #24551 fyi) I honestly suck at mania so I didn't realize this was originally a problem, lol, but the community has spoken.
I wonder if we could make storyboard into like a fun minigame, mechanic ( like aiming which direction for the car to go for an example ) or like trying to solve a puzzle

When setting a custom "double time" speed, you should be able to see the stats of the map that change along with the speed that you've set. currently you can only see the BPM change, but stats like AR and OD remain the same as their nomod counter-part.
Will there be an option to disable the "hold for menu" icon, at least on shift-tab? Right now disabling the HUD doesn't hide it, also it's not a skinnable element. Even though it's dimmed, it's quite visible when background and hud are off
Should be obvious; we just get faster and more ridiculous slisers from mappers, whether that's a good thing or not will be up to future players to decide

I don't know if I'm remembering correctly, but some maps like The Big Black are like double the bpm of what they actually are. There's definitely a better way to explain this, but like TBB says it's 360bpm but the streams are 180bpm. So let's say you wanted to put every map to 180bpm it would half TBB bpm. @@spaghettiking653
Would love for more mod customisation options for the Easy and Hard Rock mods. Like sometimes I want the more forgiving health drain, but not the sometimes obnoxious largers circles, or sometimes I want the approach rate to be faster, but not make the notes absolutely tiny lol
@@janmalicek6914 Agree, but also want to mention that Dif- Adjust always put score on 0.5 regardless of how much you changing it in any way. It would be great if scores where differentiating in relation to the difficulty you are setting.

I have abused that for the first time I came to the lazer (1.5 year ago, if I'm correct?). I've noticed that quiet quickly and used it for like 2-5 months (don't remember correctly) but then thought that it seems so wrong... And stopped I'm so glad that's finally fixed! :)

Can the Edit button in the main menu open up the map list instead of creating a new map? Feels kinda weird having to go into the Play menu just to edit an existing one. Also still missing autoplay for editor :(
while playing the spotlight i noticed that binding arrow keys to click was causing me to miss randomly when notes underlapped sliders. not sure if this is just a me issue but it would be nice if it was looked in on. (happens at the 701 combo mark of the 7 minute touhou map, randomly throughout Dirty, and most noticeably, near the start of Playing God.) it was consistently happening every single time with arrow keys and never happening when i bound other keys
Pitch adjust for double time is so insane, like now you can play at x1.20 without deciding if double time or night core will sound better
this feature was a mistake xD my head hurts every time i play now with pitch changed

What about maps that have 100 bpm listed but theyre actually 200 or vice versa

mirror is already a part of hardcore I think? It vertically flips the beatmap together with the other things it makes harder for the player

It's ranked but it also makes everything harder. It's a mod called Hard Rock.
