Before Griseo was added to the game, I expected Fallen Rosemary to be the most likely to appear in Genshin during a crossover event. After Griseo and more information about Project Ark were released, I started to expect Teyvat to be one of Griseo's paintings.
This might not be super relevant but a domain challenge buff in Fischl’s domain have similarity to FR’s small gimmick. Basically, when FR casts a rune, when near enemies, the runes deal lightning damage. And for the Fischl’s domain buff, it has the same gimmick which is dealing electro damage when near enemies

Biggest and most probable theory is that since Genshin exists in the Honkaiverse there needs to be a honkai impact. Honkai impact occurs when civilization develops to a certain extend which would explain the destruction of Khanriah. Basically the gods destroyed Khanriah to prevent a Honkai Impact in their world.
I remember when those inazuma soldiers or civilian talking about something monster like in the past, my first suspect was a Honkai beast. So an Honkai impact did occurred during khanriah incident or so.

I would expand this theory by saying that Teyvat is a bubble universe outside of Honkai's detection range because it has just been overrun by Honkai at the time Griseo found it. The Dragons she defeated were Honkai beasts, and afterward, she used an Ether anchor to support this world in the Sea of Quanta and hide it from Honkai. 4 Shades could very well be a representation of Flamechasers friends she painted. Mr Knight could be Phanes-Kosma, the lady monster could be Istaroth-Aponia. Who knows if the current "CELESTIA" is her malfunctioned paintings that became the "SKY" people. I would love a scenario in which both Honkai and Genshin players beat the Sky people / Celestia in the home world in their respective games, but a player who does both games realizes that the victory in one game is thanks to the timely victory in the other. That would be hella epic for an End game plot.
hmmm i dont think this is true. there is currently no way to beat honkai. raw power is not the answer to the test of honkai. and griseo couldnt possibly defeat honkai by herself. ether anchors need supply of honkai energy to not let universe fall into sea of quanta and dissolve. where is she going to get honkai energy if she is hiding from it?

You see that many bubble universes trick the Honkai by staying in the SoQ with an Ether Anchor to just hold the universe together. In exchange, the energy in those universe are limited and they tend to repeat themselves (a bunch of those appeared in early chapters).. I think should be said that at the end of the event Griseo told that she will paint the sky. Also, she has feather accessories in her hair and her self-portrait is a bird in a cage, so both Griseo and Primodal One are associated with birds.

Idk if this has any connection or anything, but in the recent genshin summer event, the sky in mona's domain looks too much like a painting, the other characters even stopped and paused to put emphasis on how beautiful it was. It's her inner world so to speak, and mona's an astrologer so she sees the stars and whatnot. What if the sky she sees in her divinations and stuff is the sky griseo painted, and since this is her domain, it projected what she usually sees, instead of being just an artistic rendition of her mind like in the other character domains

If you look at the landscape of teyvat and within the seven nations, the colors are very vibrant. Same as griseo who uses only vibrant colors when painting.
Its implied that some key terminology associated to the Honkaiverse have several naming sense depending on the universes connected to the Imaginary Tree/Bubbles within Sea of Quanta. This was partly confirmed in Star Rail, which was a sequel to APHO scenario within HI3, Stellarons seems to be based on Honkai in solid form, with Stellaron hunters like Kafka, Blade and Silver Wolf hunting them. It can be assumed that the same goes for Genshin, to at least makes it distinct from Honkai despite the obvious connection. Only Welt and Carole are from the main HI3 universe in Star Rail story, as Reburn 2 animation showcases them starting their journey using the Cosmic Juggernaut, the 2nd Divine Key. Star Rail Himeko was mentioned in Alien Space, and the events of APHO and Alien Space, in which the Sky People attacking starts off Welt's journey to fight against them.

How about the idea that Teyvat is just a simulated reality like the Elysian Realm, only this time the base data used onnit is the ENTIRE GENOME OF HUMANITY+Griseo's? This'd make sense if the Ark is not meant to travel between bubble universes in the Sea of Quanta. That Griseo is hooked into the Ark's main system and Teyvat is her way of passing time(by painting, "Shelter," anyone?) as the ARK continues its search for a habitable planet? That KEVIN lost contact with the Ark because the Honkai managed to find it(because they always do anyway) and in its attempt to destroy the Ark, its entire system had to be forcibly reset, stranding the Ark out there in deep space with no way to re-establish contact with Earth(or there may be, just that they had to find it)? That the entire Genshin plotline is to ensure that the Ark will be able to fulfill its primary objective once more, and to make contact with Earth as soon as it does?
At least that's what initially was, yes. That's a bit of a stretch honestly, trying to somehow connect the theme of sky between Griseo and things related to the Primordial One. There are many things in Before Sun and Moon that could explain that better. Celestia may have more to do with the Second Who Came...

Aponia's realm in the Elysian Realm already screams Celestia. Not to mention the Welkin Goddess statue that Aponia was praying to, I'm still sticking to Aponia being the Welkin Goddess herself.
Interesting video, it's great to think of possible ways to connect the lore of the story. I would like to add a quick little mini theory regarding which honkai genes Griseo is fused with that i formed by combining various sources of information. If it is correct it might support more the idea in this video or maybe make some new ideas form in the head or at the very least hope to find it interesting. To begin understanding about Griseo's honkai genes we need to talk about what the honkai represent or take inspiration from. As it was stated in this video Hoyoverse like to take inspirations from other popular folk or myth. Like with the ark being a reference to Noah's ark. I would say the imaginary tree in honkai is strongly based on Yggdrasil or the World tree. Now Honkai from after my investigation is to believe that it is taking it's reference from Hinduism. For that we can look at some of the honkai beasts we have. There are the 2 boar-like creature named Parvati and Ganesha which both are gods of hindu pantheon which also are related to another. We also have Benares who is also known as Varanasi in Hinduism. In Hinduism Varanasi is known as the holiest of the seven sacred cities in Hinduism and suppose to be the abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Even a lesser connection comes from Sirin name meaning which is an indian origin girl name with a meaning of "the wife of prophets". Which considering her being the 2nd herrscher but also sometimes known as the queen of honkai with the will of honkai being sometimes regarded as supreme godly being in it's own right does form some connections there. However how does this help us identify the honkai gene infused in Griseo? Well for that there is some information that i am a bit surprised that wasn't mentioned in this video is the honkai beast classes. Each honkai beast is categorized with some of stronger beasts like Parvati and Ganesha in the emperor-class and Benares in the judgment-class honkai beast. However there is one more class above the judgment class that we only know of existed in the Previous era which is the Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts. Which to start of Vipralopa in Sanskrit means ruin, destruction or annihilation. Sanskrit also ties into Hinduism. So you could call these honkai beasts the ruin-class or destruction-class. This is important because in Previous era existed only 3 Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts. Though 2 of them we know very little about and one those only later got re-classified into Vipralopa-Class which was Vishnu. Also important to know that all of Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts were used for their genes in the creation of MANTIS soldiers and luckily for us we have one character that we can confirm for being infused with these genes which is Kosma. Now why is Vishnu important? Well just like with the other honkai beasts Vishnu is also part of the Hinduism pantheon. However he is more special than the others as Vishnu is part of the Trimurti which are the trinity of supreme divinity of Hinduism together with the one and only Lord Shiva and Brahma. Hmmm 3 Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts and 3 supreme deities of Hinduism. There is one another Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts that has been mentioned but we dont know who is infused with which is Maheśvara. This name is actually another name for Lord Shiva. I guess using the most sacred name in Hinduism that is well known of even to people outside of India could be problematic so i can see them going for that. Now the Trimurti ties in the heavy belief in Hinduism about the cycle of life and death. These Trimurti represent that belief: Brahma is the god of creation who is said to be the original creator of the universe. Vishnu is the god of preservation who symbolizes the preserver, the protector, and the sustainer of the world created by Brahma. Shiva is known for many things but his role in the trimurti is as the destroyer. As the one who destroys the universe in order to re-create it by purging all that is evil in the three worlds of heaven, Earth and hell. Now we have 2 Vipralopa-Class honkai genes without an owner. We can make some deductions to those who can't be like Kosma having Vishnu genes and Kevin having Parvati genes. That combined with some good speculative assumptions like Fu-Hua has Garuda which is Hindu demigod and/or a divine creature that is the king of birds. Or assumptions like Mobius having Shesha which is a Hindu serpent god and is the primordial creation deity. After going through all of Elysian realm members there are these results: 1)Elysia is most likely the one with Maheśvara. Why that is the case I would need to go through an entire another theory. So for now just take my word for it. 2)Either Griseo or Vill-V is the one with Brahma genes. Which as you would probably guess now from context is Griseo in my opinion. Why is it Griseo over Vill-V is more because of their themes. If we take the idea of Brahma as the creator who created the universe. Than Griseo serves much more fitting role with her powers of creation and how it depicted in the event story and through descriptions of Griseo mentioned in this video. While Vill-V is also creational genius in making inventions and other mechanical gadgets. Thematically it just doesn't fit as well. Unfortunately i could not find another Hindu god, deity or other creature to connect to Vill-V instead. However Griseo being the one infused does align with other themes. Since we know Kosma has Vishnu genes and Vishnu is the one who protects of all of the world created by Brahma. It can be connected how Kosma in game is the one who is almost like Griseo's guardian. Protecting or "preserving" Griseo from the danger around her. There is also that little unique power that she has by being able to absorb others personalities. This does not have direct connections to Brahma. However it has some some connections with Vipralopa-Class honkai. Those with the Vipralopa-class genes have been demonstrated to have the most volatile, dangerous, or unusual effects on their person atleast that is what is said in-game. Unlike the other flame-chasers whose honkai genes are more of animal like origins like snake, bird, cat, butterfly, etc. Kosma and Elysia are the only ones who have mystical themes like Elysia being elf/fairy while Kosma having demonic features. Unfortunately Griseo does not have any of these unique visual traits to her. However you could say that this unique absorption comes from the side effect of the unusual effects that Vipralopa-class genes have. While no other flame-chasers behaves in a odd way. Now with the latest chapter we know that VIll-V splitting personality was already before she became a MANTIS soldier so she cannot have been affected by Vipralopa-class genes in that way. Now finally last theme to connect these 3 comes from another cycle of life and death relation. Often the cycle of life in myths or puzzles is the age of human. The good old what walks on four legs at dawn on two legs during the day and three legs in the evening. Which is the cycle of life for human from child to adult to elder. This can be similarly related to Griseo, Kosma and Elysia. Which is a bit tweaked to a child, teenager and adult. Because something tells me grandma Elysia wouldn't really sell well for hoyoverse. So the theme is a bit adjusted but still preserves it's meaning. So that's that Griseo is one of the 3 members with Vipralopa-Class honkai genes with Brahma specifically as the god of creation. Hope this extra information can inspire some new ideas.

@@muhamadrizkyananda Hmm i dont quite recall this honkai beast. I also believe the spider theme is more a gesture to her being a mastermind. Like from classical stories of Sherlock Holmes with the old spider in the web which is the mastermind James Moriarty. I think that is the case because unlike other flame-chasers who have actual physical traits. Like Aponia's butterfly wings, Pardo's cat ears, Mobius's eyes and honkai form, Fu hua's bird like wings from that one image from a manga. Vill-V just has outfit themes with spider webbing on her chest outfit and the shadow you mentioned in PV. Unless Vill-V's active honkai form has spider themes it just doesn't have a strong baseline for her honkai genes. I did look into more info about Mahakali though. Which first from what i could gather does not have spider themes. It does have depictions of many arms which i guess you could compare how spiders have many appendages. That and Mahakali from hinduism perspective symbolizes the goddess of time and death. The one that represents nature at it's rawest and most untamed. She is the culmination of all that is strength and power. She is loving without being devoted. She is the ultimate mother-the mother of all power-without being reduced to the role of a mother. While time is certainly a theme surrounding Vill-V character the other aspects don't match to me aswell when i compared hindu gods to other flame-chasers. That being said Vill-V is most certainly the most hardest to read and understand her true essence as a character because of her unique persona or should i say personas. Which did flip a switch as i looked into Mahakali. As Mahakali falls under Kali. Which to be honest looking into Kali overwhelmed me and i certainly don't understand quite enough as there is way too much information regarding Kali because it has so many interpretations. However one thing did catch my eye is that Kali can take on many forms. One them being Mahakali but there are so many others like Dakshinakali, Samhara Kali, Raksha Kali, Bhadra Kali, Guhya Kali and so many more. This though strikes me as very similar to the concept of Vill-V personalities all very distinct but also the same person at the same time. Just like the many forms of Kali. Though Vill-V certainly doesn't have multiple honkai genes but if this honkai beast in question has some power to alter his form than that would be solid enough connection. It does still concern me as i said previously that Vill-V unique personas was a thing already before she became a MANTIS soldier. However someone like Kevin he too when comparing to Parvati i could deduce that the personality and behavior of Kevin before becoming a MANTIS soldier symbolizes more one aspect of the goddess Parvati while his persona after becoming a MANTIS soldier and now in Current era more matches the other aspects surrounding goddess Parvati. So it is possible to symbolize Vill-V's characteristics disregarding when she became a MANTIS soldier. Either way interesting note about this honkai beast.
Fu Hua's honkai beast genes come from PE's Benares, I think it's shown in the Honkai manga but my memory is vague. For HoS's burst, when she lands back down on the ground from breaking the sphere, there's a blast crater shaped like Benares visible for half a second.
I’m not really sure about what I am saying but it was said that the Honkai best that were chosen for the meta-morph surgery were supposed to fit the person who went through the surgery so it could explain why the MANTISES already had some particularities before the surgery

The Honkai beast whose genes that Griseo was injected with in her metamorph surgery likely has horns, for sure. This lines up more with Ganyu’s character features. Which would be roughly consistent with Griseo’s Active Honkai Reaction form.
There's also "The Second Who Come" or "The Second Throne" people assume the primodial one won the battle against them but take drastic measure & change the law of teyvat to protect them of what technically might be a honkai OR, they technically is in control & Griseo is nowhere to be found. This theory also connect that different people who fought honkai from different universe want to take over & make the world as habitable for them. This was my strongest theory so far But after hearing this theory & put the dots into line, as in each universe, honkai takes different form & in Genshin, there's this entity called "mother night" community conclude that she is the abyss, the source of the corruption & basically unknown dormant power in Teyvat burried deep under the earth. There are theory that teyvat is already ruined by honkai when Griseo came & the 7 sovereign dragons are honkai beast. This Griseo theory kinda match as Griseo can be defeating 7 sovereign & banish mother night to the deepest part of teayvat, she paint over the old world then create teyvat we know So technically the Khaenrian Cataclsym 500 years ago in Genshin feels like the scenery Griseo paint over the honkai was peeled of by Khaenrian mages, they manage to tap on the power of the depth but then it unleash all the "abyssal beast" a.k.a the honkai The prominent player in Genshin is the wind & "the goddess of time", Istaroth one of phanes' shade, she reside in mondstadt where it is a city of FREEDOM WITH CLEAR BLUE SKY & GREEN PASTURE, I suspect the other shade either got corrupted, or launch emergency plane to be stricter with teyvat & turned into douches or just died & Istaroth being the one remaining shade left that actually give a shit about humanity, bcs she helped the people in enkanomiya & watch over mondstadt with Venti for a short time (she is called the thousand wind of time & venti born from a branch of time & part of the thousand wind implied Venti is Istaroth's indirect(??) son). Though her whereabout is unknown I suspect she took the task on sealing off the Honkai in Teyvat, might be lock them in suspended animation as she is god of time after all, stopping time? why not? Also the guardian of heavenly principle the HoV expy might be a creation from the second throne (or whoever govern celestia now) to be stricter on filtering out disturbance in teyvat, she might be created in the image of istaroth to "replace" her as she is nowhere to be found after all lost to time ironically. it feels like whoever ruling celestia so paranoid about the honkai or is the honkai itself & istaroth, the original shade that say, maybe, MAYBE the most loyal to Griseo carry on a journey to make sure her master's works are not in vain, it seems like she can just rule teyvat but choose not to or unable to
I think that the Second Who Game might be the Unknown God/Substainer (the HoV/Sirin like god) created either by Phanes (corrupted Shade of Space) or the Heavenly Principle (that perfectly matche the Will of Honkai)
I never played honkai, but honestly I think that teyvat is just one of the branches on the imaginary tree. However with its own specific I guess. For example it's a universe which somehow escaping attention of honkai OR Griseo found a bubble on the imaginary tree where she can hide Teyvat globe. I do believe in this theory because it explains appearance of the "same" characters in both games. So basically mihoyo can create gaming multiverse and play with it in so many different ways.
I'm not so sure Genshin is actually ON the tree. I think it might be a doomed bubble universe. However we end up reconnecting it to the tree. In the Traveller's story description it says 'the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend'. Perhaps it doesn't mean Celestia but ascend to the tree. Or a weirder thought is we 'birth' a new tree and ascend. That would make Shogun quest p2 foreshadowing for what's to come.
Could be. It is possible that the first heir is the Primordial One and the Second heir is the Second Who Came. When it comes to Genshin there are still many pieces of the puzzle missing. Sometimes I wish that I could travel a few years in time just to get some answers.
another detail that makes me super suspicious is, if you look at Griseo's PRI-ARM, the top bit of it looks EXACTLY like a crystalfly. like straight up. they have to be linked somehow, i refuse to think there are that many coincidences!! haha
I just remembered that griseo has a recollection where she paints a self portrait, in this self portrait is a bird in a cage with the quote saying something like, Is griseo the bird or the cage? This could potentially be referenced to celestia and how when vanessa ascends, the center of celestia looks like a cage, potentially signaling how griseo is trapped (as the bird) but her powers trap the people of teyvat (as the cage) furthermore, in the painting r four shadows with 2 having a humanoid shape (and the other 2 cut off) hovering over the bird cage, perhaps referencing the 4 phanes?

The only proof of inhabitants on celestia we have are from the Vanessa manga and they look like omnious people in robes in Venti's memory. ALSO the center of Celestia you could say resembles a cage; the place Vanessa enters before transforming into bird.
Griseo was mostly raised by Aponia and Kosma, I can imagine that she grew up as manipulative(Aponia), and have severe social communication issues (Kosma)
As others have said, her powers manifesting this way is more likely due to her being a kid. As she mentally grows up, she could find new faucets through which she could channel and express her powers.

Regaring point 1. Not necessarily, that's not confirmed. If you read book from Byakuyakoku you will see they believed Phanes WON the war. It might be truth. There was a serious change after this, yes, that requires explanation. There is a theory, that united civilisation of humankind under Phanes brang attention of Honkai and that was mentioned war. Phanes won indeed, but from now on, to basically survive, Celestia have new policy of restraining humanity and hiding truth about the past. Plus, Celestia can be weakened and changed because of the war... Remember Sky Nails from Celestia? Commonly people think it's Celestia destroying civilisations and really it looks like that at the first glance. But on the other hand, we know that Khaernia'h already brang catastrophe on themselves by their own acting, by Gold actions, causing sudden monsters appearance - honkai beasts. In Chasm we see that Sky Nail is emitting light element that suppresses dark element (honkai). If we take a closer look about various stories in the game about sudden appearance of some beasts like Rifthounds, etc, then it looks really similar to honkai attacks. Sky Nails were not against humanity, just the opposite, it was to save rest of the humanity, including hidding the truth about the past of advanced civilisations. It's still one Celestia, even if changed. In some sense it might be called second, but it's not alien force that won the war with first Celestia. Some (all?) Archons might not like changes or have other various reasons to distance themselves from Celestia, plus surely not all their motives might be good, as we easily can see what horrid things Fatui is doing. One detail - why do you think remains of first Celestia are in Byakuyakoku?? I think you confused something. It was said Istaroth came to Byakuyakoku to help them and she lead Aberaku to BUILD Dainichi Mikoshi. It's surely based on something in Celestia, but it's a new thing and Aberaku was praised by his achievements and we know about Sunchild who wanted to build another tower to surpass Aberaku.

I wouldn't say is completely irrelevant. Keep in mind that Griseo says in Chapter 42 that she will leave Qiming and set out with the Ark again at some point.
So we can say that Genshin Events are on the future when Griseo its leaving Qiming to continue exploring or that Teyvat is just a bubble universe she created and kept on secret@@HomuLabs

I don't think Griseo herself is the primordial one, but from the very first month of Genshin I did guess that Genshin is just a simulation inside the project ARK aka Tevyat. and inside that simulation is all the holding concept such as primordial one aka Tevyat God, the hollow earth theory, Celestia & sky people, etc., as it tries to simulate a way for humanity to survive. Like: I can imagine that Griseo is the artisan, the one who rules how project ARK is going. even if she can't contact back. Prob she has lost her sanity by the start of Tevyat. Griseo painted the primordial one, prob on the form likened to herself or person that she knew from her time on her own home Earth. She's not primordial one herself, she's the one who painted the primordial one inside one of project ARK's many simulations. No she doesn't have power to literally shape a planet. She simulates the planet and it's that simulated planet she changes around. This is back to the whole Demiurge thematic of thinking that it was the supreme creator without realizing (or well, in Griseo's case, remembering) that itself was a creation. also she prob repainted on top of a world where something akin to the og 7 dragon lords exist. if project ARK is supposed to be used to find a sustainable place where the human genome memory can be released in hope that it can reform civilization back at another planet/place, then Tevyat is simulated on something else they captured. you know: what will happen if humans live here? sort of thing. I think the existence of Griseo just creates the indirect, big background concept that the idea exist in the honkai-verse and can be used as story plot in Genshin if they want. Although I need to note: Hoyoverse does tease, but they never truly connected one franchise to another in a narrative sense before. So I doubt the story of Genshin and Honkai will ever connect. (also reason why I don't think Griseo is the primordial one, just the one who "created" the primordial one. that extra layer is sort of important to make sure the 2 story stay separated.)
Griseo could be Rhinedottir aka Gold - alchemist from Khaenri'ah, who practiced Art of Khemia. It is what Albedo doing now. Rhinedottir was friends with Alice. Alice belongs to a long-lived race and is at least 500 years old. Sounds very similar to Flame Chasers. Maybe Khaenri'ah actually was formed with people from project Ark. Genshin dont have any other nation with so high technological level as it was in Khaenri'ah.
Story of honkai and ofc genshin has a lot of parralels with story of noah. PE was destroyed because of flamechasers not being good enough and fighting among themselves. And in a lot of places in honkai flamechasers are regarded as "sinners". So sinners were killed by a natural disaster while griseo's arc got to teyvat. I can't know the genshin part of this story cuz i didnt play it.
there's even have a theory that Honkai starrail is base on New timeline that Otto create for Kallen in Thus spoke Apocalypes With the concept of Imaginary tree, MHY can create or twist any plot as they want. so it's hard to make a correct theory from every details we got from all of their franchise (except they intentionally explain to us) Even someone said Honkai starrail is directly connect to Genshin because of Kafka's existence

after learning about project stigma's nature. I think the events in genshin happen while humanity is trapped inside the stigmata space. I don't know how long will Kiana's gang take to revert project stigma. but since gray serpent said that during project stigma humanity is in the state of dreaming-like, the time she's taking may feel like eternity for the people inside the stigmata space. I haven't got the time to play genshin but I have a friend who is quite invested in it and sometimes spoils a small bit of the story to me lol. I heard that the early genshin civilization was more advanced than it currently is. that might be because of they know the technology from their previous life in proper world. I also heard a theory that says the archons are actually the bad guys while the harbingers are the good guys. the archons might be the representation of stigmata who want to keep humanity in the dream cage while the harbingers are the one who want free them. neither of them has bad intention against humanity, just a different side of the same coin. in the bubble moon, dr MEI said that project stigma is made possible by borrowing the power of finality from the final herrscher. it may either be the character resembling HoV Kiana in genshin or the primordial one. while it's too early to say that the honkai-free world of genshin is what the project stigmata is all about, it's also the right time to say that the one who would free them from their dream cage is the honkai (the four remaining herrschers on the proper world)
people keep forgetting that Griseo's powers are different from the ones in Elysian Realm, original Griseo's painting only affects minds, not come into reality, but because Elysian Realm is made up of memories, her paintings comes into being because it is a mental world, not real world.
@@tobyharris4777 not exactly, Elysian Realm is made up of data that was recorded from flame chasers memories, so it's more like a dream from flame chasers perspective, while visitors are observers, because Griseo's paintings are holding part of her she discarded(copied personalities), which what was causing people to get influenced by her paintings, in Elysian Realm they materialize into real beings because Griseo regards them as real in deep subconsciousness, the same way Pardofelis created Can without meaning it to happen. And the same everything else is made in Elysian Realm, as all these monsters that we fight there are just byproducts of memories, non of flame chasers can summon them on demand.
Yes, I know. I even said that in the video. But people also forget that she was just a child at that time and her powers might change and mature with time. As Vill-V said, the Ark was designed with the growth of the individual who boarded it in mind. There is also the theory that if Teyvat is truly in the Sea of Quanta and Griseo ended up there, her powers could manifest in the same way since the SoQ function a lot like ER. It's a space between dimension that decomposes everything into data and it's appearance it's influenced by the perspective of the observer.
How about someone godlike who take Su to him before death? MOTHs directors say (chapter 29) what they not rely on any from "cosmic team"(i summarized) except Vill-V who can create comething complicated. And Aponia's mural from Honkai is on Tsurumi.
I can't help but think that Griseo is a reference to Dark Souls 3's Painter Girl in the Ashes of Ariandel DLC seeing as both of them have the ability to "paint" worlds. (It would be cool if this were the case since there are a few ingame achievements that directly reference Dark Souls)
I love your videos. And I agree that there are be many parallels between Griseo and genshin but I doubt that genshin devs will connect the 2 games in such a way. I think it will stay as foreshadowing at best imo
Since she has birds in her artwork when she uses her ultimate skill, her more Honkai beast form could have wings, AND she is like a bird trapped in a cage, so why wouldn’t her more Honkai beast form be like a bird.
Griseo's one of my faves in Honkai so I love this theory! Thinking about it, the girl in Genshin's Blessing of the Welkin Moon kinda reminds me of Griseo. The design on the bowl the primogems are poured into when logging into Genshin when you have the subscription even seems a bit visually similar to the blue triangle / flower shaped ornament on Griseo's dress.
I guess this theory could be true as we see some character resemblance in honkai and genshin but it does not imply with Griseo theory as she didt know Wendy nor raiden mei(in real world) so how would she make resemble it could be possible only if someone from real world would have gone teyvat or formed teyvat
maybe Griseo has seen the Previous Era Herrscher of Wind (probably she has been recorded in the Ark like a computer server or something that records the data) and also maybe she has been interact with Dr. MEI sometimes so that's why there's a resemblance

This is so awesome! I think it's really sad that most Genshin Lore channels know nothing about Honkai lore. I see so many of their theories not holding any weight because they don't consider the Hoyoverse existing above Genshin in terms of the mechanics in the narrative. I think you have one of the best lore channels, thanks! If I had to guess, I bet when Honkai Star Rail gets released they will connect Genshin to Honkai more concretely at the lore level to get people to consider playing HSR.

Since Project ark theory grows clearer in time. Only time can tell of what Genshin's future gonna be. Its up to the writers of the story. And plus she is not a kid since its been 50,000 years already and she can be Zhongli's great great great great great great grandma. Also theories doesnt need to be true, its just made for fun using a proper connection and evidences.
It is a totally different person. In the same book of sun and moon, we learn something called "the second who came" who arrived in teyvat after the primordial and wage a war against it, bringing chaos to teyvat. This could mean that griseo fought against that second who came and seeing how celestia has been acting in genshin, you could say that she lost. I also want to add that the latest artifacts set in 3.3 state that the primordial one actually dropped celestian nails to various teyvatian civilizations to mend the land of illusions brought by the second who came. This refer to griseo patching the corrupt painting during the event. Edit : It isn't Griseo.
From narrative standpoint, the relation between Honkai and Genshin is akin to Xenoblade Chronicles. In the final chapters of Honkai, it's more apparent the traveller's role in Teyvat parallels Elysia, Flamechasers, and the main trio.
If actually makes sense, since the Heavenly Principles in Genshin are basically usurpers. But I will throw hands if anyone even THINKS about hurting my darling baby Griseo.
hearing that "the sky is fake" made me think what if the real sky is the loading screen of genshin? that place with pillars and doors in the sky? if that is to be true, then i have no doubt griseo made that that place in the loading screen where there are pillars in the sky looks almost like the deepest doorway in honkai the deepest doorway is like the entrance to aponia's prison like place called the deep now if griseo is the painter or creator of genshin why would that real sky look like deepest doorway from honkai? the deepest doorway is close to griseo because aponia is her mother figure and probably if this theory is true, griseo might be in that place too
I think this theory can work pretty well tbh. It does have a lot of key points that can be at least referenced, if not confirmed. The thing that gets me is...what about the genshin battle pass cutscene??? Is it possible that Griseo is the princess that got corrupted in the end??? Maybe the whole thing about the princess being convinced she was the queen of darkness can be referenced to her honkai powers consuming her mental state and she basically became a herrscher herself. Im pretty sure the snake in the BP scene has something to do with Mobius, as its too convenient to me to use a snake. Im wondering if the man who was told to find the pearl is actually Kosma, as from what ive gathered we really dont know how he died in honkai. But what if he was sent in as a second "ark" after Griseo's seemingly failed. What if outside this giant bubble of teyvat theres just a huge honkai war raging around due to Griseo being a herrscher? We never really got any true connections on what story the BP cutscene is referencing, but it seems very convenient to me to assume this is the story of the Primordial Ones downfall into madness.
I tried to think about it... but I really didn't find any way to properly connect the battle pass cutscene with this theory without an outrageous amount of speculation.

Kosma died on the moon according to the beta cinematic that will show up near the end of the Elysian Realm arc. The only living Flamechasers left are Kevin(head of World Serpent), Fu Hua(HoS), and Griseo(somewhere in the stars). All the other Flamechasers were left behind on the moon and died against the Herrscher of the End
Now that it's basically confirmed that K.K who had been fused with Brahma is Griseo. Kevin being K.K is debunked cause his 2nd surgery was the Project Chimera. Griseo had the power of creation and was involved in the Project Ark. Now the question is, why would she use K.K as an alias?
2 months ago i wondered what kind of connection paimon would have to griseo. i have connected the dots: the second one who came defeated the primordial one and masked themselves as her, and the heavenly principles was one of the shadows. now she serves the second who came maybe cuz they just manipulated her or smth, and since paimon shows some resemblance to the heavenly principles, she could be one of the shadows as well. i remember reading somewhere that we could forward time ingame cuz well thanks to paimon, and one of the shadows was god of time or smth right (istaroth iirc ?)
Paimon doesn't control time. When you skip time in Genshin, your character is literally waiting all that time. Nothing magical. Really special thing about Paimon is her ability to disappear and then pop up whenever she wants. It was mentioned in the main story dialogues.
with the sumeru update , that one tree in sumeru its almost similar to imaginary tree in honkai . Please make more video about honkai lore because I play both game and have low iq in understand the lore aka razor language . Anyway, look at Griseo in Wonderland in Honkai Impact TH-cam. You would find that in that story she was given a crown, sounds like foreshadowing to me.
I love this! Speaking of Griseo's honkai beast, if assuming this theory is true - Phanes had wings and a crown and was androgynous. That sounds quite like an angel: angel wings, a crown - a halo and angels are sometimes depicted as being androgynous. So maybe her honkai beast looked some what like an angel?
playing honkai and genshin I just see genshin as a small-scale honkai universe where celestia = will of honkai; herrschers = archons; khaenri'ah = human civilization; and so on. but with this theory incorporated it would seem like griseo became a pseudo-will of honkai that sent the archons to destroy khaenri'ah to stop the human civilization's advancement to keep teyvat out of the radar of the actual will of honkai. kinda sad because she became what they seek to destroy.
I am Genshin player for about 2 years. Also i know a little bit about Honkai. I played it for about 2 month. I think Project Ark has some relation to Genshin, but I dont feel like Griseo could be Primodial One. Lore about Primodial One, shades, all around Enkanomiya, Khaenri'ah and other old nations, Seelies race, Moon sisters, arcons, etc all this is too much deep for Griseo from Honkai because Honkai do not have so deep and complicated lore in history. We dont know what happened on spaceship. What devices and materials was on spaceship. Where is Griseo now? Is she still alive? Beside space is so big with multiple universes. My believe is that Primodial One was from other universe or dimension and was totally strange for planet. Therefore he was super-entity for this planet. Still question is - who was Second who came? From where he/she came and who sent him/her? For those who are very glad if Griseo would be ruler of Celestia, I want to point on some very important circumstance - Celestia nuked several nations in Genshin with Skyfrost Nail (it is like Nuclear weapon), killed several gods because of some forbidding knowledge (more likely about Celestia). Do you really want Griseo to be murder engages in genocide? What about false sky, world structure and origin of Teyvat I suggest to watch Ashikai theories. She did really great job. Also she has video about relation between Genshin and Honkai.
You know Griseo's story kinda had me thinking back on that music video Shelter, in which a girl was placed into a little ship and sent off into space in order to live. Kinda has the same vibes when I start to look back at it.

We need to remember that the procedure utilized to create manthises made it impossible for them to grow. Fu Hua still looks like a 14-16 yo girl even after 50k+ years. So the fact that the Primordial one is an Androgynus person may still stand (ignoring a few charactheristics that make her a girl). Now, even if the Manthises are immortal, they can still be killed, just not by normal means. Maybe the one ruling over celestia killed her, and given the fact that she is easily influenced, maybe the ruler made everything possible to convince her that a su i ci de was the best for her.
This really is food for thought because we have seen the MANTIS powers manifest very differently from person to person. While it's true that it was stated that they cannot die unless wounded in battle, we have seen cases like Mobius who does age. All I'm saying is that... if HoYo really wanted to come up with a reason to present us with a grown-up version of Griseo, they certainly could.
@@alexpav845 if I remember she can grow only to the point where she was killed, so if she is killed while being "younger" thant the previous time, she can only gow up to that point. That is Why her sim looks younger than her real self on that cinematic.
Pretty sure that was specifically Fu Hua only. Elysia stayed young forever too though but wasn't Fu Huas deal exclusively she had perfect memory and couldn't die since she'd just revive?
Project ark theory is quite plausible given to the hints dropped on their dialouge and manga (of course) the writer did it on purpose to invoke fun discussion between fans. Better read Chinese novel after finishing Honkai impact or rather read Honkai itself since it is a Chinese novel.
I like this theory, it would be pretty awesome to see one of Flame-chasers being connected to Genshin universe. I believe tho a theory that she was captured by Sky People is more believable, since they are exactly similar to creatures she creates, and Sea of Quanta is a very tricky place you probably can't enter through space. That's pretty much why 2nd Devine Key, Cosmic Juggernaut, exists to travel across universes through space, and it is the train MC travels on in Honkai: Star Rail. P.S. I still believe tho Genshin's twins were created by one of Flame-chasers, but I guess we will see it in its finale.

I am not a Honkai Player but maybe you could find similarities with the 4 painted companions of Grecio, which could go with your theory
Now, this theory still has many inconsistencies, and to be completely frank, even I don't think that it will be ever confirmed. There is also a lot of hints toward Griseo being more connected to the Sky People and APHO rather than Genshin, but, alas… it's fun to theorize. Even if the two have absolutely no connection to each other, it’s clear that HoYoverse used the story of Noah’s Ark as a core theme for both characters.
Remember, theories are just for fun. They don't need to become true.

Before Griseo was added to the game, I expected Fallen Rosemary to be the most likely to appear in Genshin during a crossover event. After Griseo and more information about Project Ark were released, I started to expect Teyvat to be one of Griseo's paintings.
I also expected that Rosemary would be mention or have a cameo in Fischl's mirage, but that didn't come to frustration

This might not be super relevant but a domain challenge buff in Fischl’s domain have similarity to FR’s small gimmick. Basically, when FR casts a rune, when near enemies, the runes deal lightning damage. And for the Fischl’s domain buff, it has the same gimmick which is dealing electro damage when near enemies
Fallen Rosemary doesn't have weapon in Genshin, unless scythe can be spear.

I always thought that Albedo was created based on the Traveler. Since the twin we didn't select did roam around Khaenria'ah, so gold might have created him based on them

Biggest and most probable theory is that since Genshin exists in the Honkaiverse there needs to be a honkai impact. Honkai impact occurs when civilization develops to a certain extend which would explain the destruction of Khanriah. Basically the gods destroyed Khanriah to prevent a Honkai Impact in their world.
I remember when those inazuma soldiers or civilian talking about something monster like in the past, my first suspect was a Honkai beast. So an Honkai impact did occurred during khanriah incident or so.

I would expand this theory by saying that Teyvat is a bubble universe outside of Honkai's detection range because it has just been overrun by Honkai at the time Griseo found it. The Dragons she defeated were Honkai beasts, and afterward, she used an Ether anchor to support this world in the Sea of Quanta and hide it from Honkai. 4 Shades could very well be a representation of Flamechasers friends she painted. Mr Knight could be Phanes-Kosma, the lady monster could be Istaroth-Aponia. Who knows if the current "CELESTIA" is her malfunctioned paintings that became the "SKY" people.
I would love a scenario in which both Honkai and Genshin players beat the Sky people / Celestia in the home world in their respective games, but a player who does both games realizes that the victory in one game is thanks to the timely victory in the other. That would be hella epic for an End game plot.

You see that many bubble universes trick the Honkai by staying in the SoQ with an Ether Anchor to just hold the universe together. In exchange, the energy in those universe are limited and they tend to repeat themselves (a bunch of those appeared in early chapters).. I theorise that Teyvat’s Ether Anchor is a very big Sakura Tree whose root we see in Leylines and Domains.

Idk if this has any connection or anything, but in the recent genshin summer event, the sky in mona's domain looks too much like a painting, the other characters even stopped and paused to put emphasis on how beautiful it was. It's her inner world so to speak, and mona's an astrologer so she sees the stars and whatnot. What if the sky she sees in her divinations and stuff is the sky griseo painted, and since this is her domain, it projected what she usually sees, instead of being just an artistic rendition of her mind like in the other character domains

If you look at the landscape of teyvat and within the seven nations, the colors are very vibrant. Same as griseo who uses only vibrant colors when painting.
Its implied that some key terminology associated to the Honkaiverse have several naming sense depending on the universes connected to the Imaginary Tree/Bubbles within Sea of Quanta. This was partly confirmed in Star Rail, which was a sequel to APHO scenario within HI3, Stellarons seems to be based on Honkai in solid form, with Stellaron hunters like Kafka, Blade and Silver Wolf hunting them. It can be assumed that the same goes for Genshin, to at least makes it distinct from Honkai despite the obvious connection.
Only Welt and Carole are from the main HI3 universe in Star Rail story, as Reburn 2 animation showcases them starting their journey using the Cosmic Juggernaut, the 2nd Divine Key. Star Rail Himeko was mentioned in Alien Space, and the events of APHO and Alien Space, in which the Sky People attacking starts off Welt's journey to fight against them.

APHO and Alien Space manga are preludes to Star Rail, with Reburn 2 follows Welt and Carole's journey using the 2nd divine key. Star Rail Himeko made a cameo as a data sheet, being the Sky People's target. Among the current playable cast in Star Rail, Welt is the only playable from HI3 universe.

That the entire Genshin plotline is to ensure that the Ark will be able to fulfill its primary objective once more, and to make contact with Earth as soon as it does?

Interesting video, it's great to think of possible ways to connect the lore of the story. I would like to add a quick little mini theory regarding which honkai genes Griseo is fused with that i formed by combining various sources of information. If it is correct it might support more the idea in this video or maybe make some new ideas form in the head or at the very least hope to find it interesting.
To begin understanding about Griseo's honkai genes we need to talk about what the honkai represent or take inspiration from. As it was stated in this video Hoyoverse like to take inspirations from other popular folk or myth. Like with the ark being a reference to Noah's ark. I would say the imaginary tree in honkai is strongly based on Yggdrasil or the World tree. Now Honkai from after my investigation is to believe that it is taking it's reference from Hinduism. For that we can look at some of the honkai beasts we have. There are the 2 boar-like creature named Parvati and Ganesha which both are gods of hindu pantheon which also are related to another. We also have Benares who is also known as Varanasi in Hinduism. In Hinduism Varanasi is known as the holiest of the seven sacred cities in Hinduism and suppose to be the abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Even a lesser connection comes from Sirin name meaning which is an indian origin girl name with a meaning of "the wife of prophets". Which considering her being the 2nd herrscher but also sometimes known as the queen of honkai with the will of honkai being sometimes regarded as supreme godly being in it's own right does form some connections there.
However how does this help us identify the honkai gene infused in Griseo? Well for that there is some information that i am a bit surprised that wasn't mentioned in this video is the honkai beast classes. Each honkai beast is categorized with some of stronger beasts like Parvati and Ganesha in the emperor-class and Benares in the judgment-class honkai beast. However there is one more class above the judgment class that we only know of existed in the Previous era which is the Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts. Which to start of Vipralopa in Sanskrit means ruin, destruction or annihilation. Sanskrit also ties into Hinduism. So you could call these honkai beasts the ruin-class or destruction-class. This is important because in Previous era existed only 3 Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts. Though 2 of them we know very little about and one those only later got re-classified into Vipralopa-Class which was Vishnu. Also important to know that all of Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts were used for their genes in the creation of MANTIS soldiers and luckily for us we have one character that we can confirm for being infused with these genes which is Kosma.
Now why is Vishnu important? Well just like with the other honkai beasts Vishnu is also part of the Hinduism pantheon. However he is more special than the others as Vishnu is part of the Trimurti
which are the trinity of supreme divinity of Hinduism together with the one and only Lord Shiva and Brahma. Hmmm 3 Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts and 3 supreme deities of Hinduism. There is one another Vipralopa-Class honkai beasts that has been mentioned but we dont know who is infused with which is Maheśvara. This name is actually another name for Lord Shiva. I guess using the most sacred name in Hinduism that is well known of even to people outside of India could be problematic so i can see them going for that. Now the Trimurti ties in the heavy belief in Hinduism about the cycle of life and death. These Trimurti represent that belief:
Brahma is the god of creation who is said to be the original creator of the universe.
Vishnu is the god of preservation who symbolizes the preserver, the protector, and the sustainer of the world created by Brahma.
Shiva is known for many things but his role in the trimurti is as the destroyer. As the one who destroys the universe in order to re-create it by purging all that is evil in the three worlds of heaven, Earth and hell.
Now we have 2 Vipralopa-Class honkai genes without an owner. We can make some deductions to those who can't be like Kosma having Vishnu genes and Kevin having Parvati genes. That combined with some good speculative assumptions like Fu-Hua has Garuda which is Hindu demigod and/or a divine creature that is the king of birds. Or assumptions like Mobius having Shesha which is a Hindu serpent god and is the primordial creation deity. After going through all of Elysian realm members there are these results:
1)Elysia is most likely the one with Maheśvara. Why that is the case I would need to go through an entire another theory. So for now just take my word for it.
2)Either Griseo or Vill-V is the one with Brahma genes. Which as you would probably guess now from context is Griseo in my opinion.
Why is it Griseo over Vill-V is more because of their themes. If we take the idea of Brahma as the creator who created the universe. Than Griseo serves much more fitting role with her powers of creation and how it depicted in the event story and through descriptions of Griseo mentioned in this video. While Vill-V is also creational genius in making inventions and other mechanical gadgets. Thematically it just doesn't fit as well. Unfortunately i could not find another Hindu god, deity or other creature to connect to Vill-V instead. However Griseo being the one infused does align with other themes.
Since we know Kosma has Vishnu genes and Vishnu is the one who protects of all of the world created by Brahma. It can be connected how Kosma in game is the one who is almost like Griseo's guardian. Protecting or "preserving" Griseo from the danger around her. There is also that little unique power that she has by being able to absorb others personalities. This does not have direct connections to Brahma. However it has some some connections with Vipralopa-Class honkai. Those with the Vipralopa-class genes have been demonstrated to have the most volatile, dangerous, or unusual effects on their person atleast that is what is said in-game. Unlike the other flame-chasers whose honkai genes are more of animal like origins like snake, bird, cat, butterfly, etc. Kosma and Elysia are the only ones who have mystical themes like Elysia being elf/fairy while Kosma having demonic features. Unfortunately Griseo does not have any of these unique visual traits to her. However you could say that this unique absorption comes from the side effect of the unusual effects that Vipralopa-class genes have. While no other flame-chasers behaves in a odd way. Now with the latest chapter we know that VIll-V splitting personality was already before she became a MANTIS soldier so she cannot have been affected by Vipralopa-class genes in that way.
Now finally last theme to connect these 3 comes from another cycle of life and death relation. Often the cycle of life in myths or puzzles is the age of human. The good old what walks on four legs at dawn on two legs during the day and three legs in the evening. Which is the cycle of life for human from child to adult to elder. This can be similarly related to Griseo, Kosma and Elysia. Which is a bit tweaked to a child, teenager and adult. Because something tells me grandma Elysia wouldn't really sell well for hoyoverse. So the theme is a bit adjusted but still preserves it's meaning.
So that's that Griseo is one of the 3 members with Vipralopa-Class honkai genes with Brahma specifically as the god of creation. Hope this extra information can inspire some new ideas.

@@muhamadrizkyananda Hmm i dont quite recall this honkai beast. I also believe the spider theme is more a gesture to her being a mastermind. Like from classical stories of Sherlock Holmes with the old spider in the web which is the mastermind James Moriarty. I think that is the case because unlike other flame-chasers who have actual physical traits. Like Aponia's butterfly wings, Pardo's cat ears, Mobius's eyes and honkai form, Fu hua's bird like wings from that one image from a manga. Vill-V just has outfit themes with spider webbing on her chest outfit and the shadow you mentioned in PV. Unless Vill-V's active honkai form has spider themes it just doesn't have a strong baseline for her honkai genes.
I did look into more info about Mahakali though. Which first from what i could gather does not have spider themes. It does have depictions of many arms which i guess you could compare how spiders have many appendages. That and Mahakali from hinduism perspective symbolizes the goddess of time and death. The one that represents nature at it's rawest and most untamed. She is the culmination of all that is strength and power. She is loving without being devoted. She is the ultimate mother-the mother of all power-without being reduced to the role of a mother. While time is certainly a theme surrounding Vill-V character the other aspects don't match to me aswell when i compared hindu gods to other flame-chasers.
That being said Vill-V is most certainly the most hardest to read and understand her true essence as a character because of her unique persona or should i say personas. Which did flip a switch as i looked into Mahakali. As Mahakali falls under Kali. Which to be honest looking into Kali overwhelmed me and i certainly don't understand quite enough as there is way too much information regarding Kali because it has so many interpretations. However one thing did catch my eye is that Kali can take on many forms. One them being Mahakali but there are so many others like Dakshinakali, Samhara Kali, Raksha Kali, Bhadra Kali, Guhya Kali and so many more. This though strikes me as very similar to the concept of Vill-V personalities all very distinct but also the same person at the same time. Just like the many forms of Kali. Though Vill-V certainly doesn't have multiple honkai genes but if this honkai beast in question has some power to alter his form than that would be solid enough connection. It does still concern me as i said previously that Vill-V unique personas was a thing already before she became a MANTIS soldier. However someone like Kevin he too when comparing to Parvati i could deduce that the personality and behavior of Kevin before becoming a MANTIS soldier symbolizes more one aspect of the goddess Parvati while his persona after becoming a MANTIS soldier and now in Current era more matches the other aspects surrounding goddess Parvati. So it is possible to symbolize Vill-V's characteristics disregarding when she became a MANTIS soldier.
Either way interesting note about this honkai beast.
Fu Hua's honkai beast genes come from PE's Benares, I think it's shown in the Honkai manga but my memory is vague. For HoS's burst, when she lands back down on the ground from breaking the sphere, there's a blast crater shaped like Benares visible for half a second.

The Honkai beast whose genes that Griseo was injected with in her metamorph surgery likely has horns, for sure. This lines up more with Ganyu’s character features. Which would be roughly consistent with Griseo’s Active Honkai Reaction form.

There's also "The Second Who Come" or "The Second Throne" people assume the primodial one won the battle against them but take drastic measure & change the law of teyvat to protect them of what technically might be a honkai OR, they technically is in control & Griseo is nowhere to be found. This theory also connect that different people who fought honkai from different universe want to take over & make the world as habitable for them. This was my strongest theory so far

So technically the Khaenrian Cataclsym 500 years ago in Genshin feels like the scenery Griseo paint over the honkai was peeled of by Khaenrian mages, they manage to tap on the power of the depth but then it unleash all the "abyssal beast" a.k.a the honkai
The prominent player in Genshin is the wind & "the goddess of time", Istaroth one of phanes' shade, she reside in mondstadt where it is a city of FREEDOM WITH CLEAR BLUE SKY & GREEN PASTURE, I suspect the other shade either got corrupted, or launch emergency plane to be stricter with teyvat & turned into douches or just died & Istaroth being the one remaining shade left that actually give a shit about humanity, bcs she helped the people in enkanomiya & watch over mondstadt with Venti for a short time (she is called the thousand wind of time & venti born from a branch of time & part of the thousand wind implied Venti is Istaroth's indirect(??) son). Though her whereabout is unknown I suspect she took the task on sealing off the Honkai in Teyvat, might be lock them in suspended animation as she is god of time after all, stopping time? why not?
Also the guardian of heavenly principle the HoV expy might be a creation from the second throne (or whoever govern celestia now) to be stricter on filtering out disturbance in teyvat, she might be created in the image of istaroth to "replace" her as she is nowhere to be found after all lost to time ironically. it feels like whoever ruling celestia so paranoid about the honkai or is the honkai itself & istaroth, the original shade that say, maybe, MAYBE the most loyal to Griseo carry on a journey to make sure her master's works are not in vain, it seems like she can just rule teyvat but choose not to or unable to
I think that the Second Who Game might be the Unknown God/Substainer (the HoV/Sirin like god) created either by Phanes (corrupted Shade of Space) or the Heavenly Principle (that perfectly matche the Will of Honkai)

I never played honkai, but honestly I think that teyvat is just one of the branches on the imaginary tree. However with its own specific I guess. For example it's a universe which somehow escaping attention of honkai OR Griseo found a bubble on the imaginary tree where she can hide Teyvat globe. I do believe in this theory because it explains appearance of the "same" characters in both games. So basically mihoyo can create gaming multiverse and play with it in so many different ways.
I'm not so sure Genshin is actually ON the tree. I think it might be a doomed bubble universe. However we end up reconnecting it to the tree. In the Traveller's story description it says 'the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend'. Perhaps it doesn't mean Celestia but ascend to the tree. Or a weirder thought is we 'birth' a new tree and ascend. That would make Shogun quest p2 foreshadowing for what's to come.

This could potentially be referenced to celestia and how when vanessa ascends, the center of celestia looks like a cage, potentially signaling how griseo is trapped (as the bird) but her powers trap the people of teyvat (as the cage)

Griseo was mostly raised by Aponia and Kosma, I can imagine that she grew up as manipulative(Aponia), and have severe social communication issues (Kosma)
As others have said, her powers manifesting this way is more likely due to her being a kid. As she mentally grows up, she could find new faucets through which she could channel and express her powers.

1. 16:07 - Phanes and the first Throne got dumped into the abbys by Celestia. Its all about the War between 1st and 2nd throne. Celestia is the Second one, and remaining part of the 1st one was Byakuyakoku. What im trying to say that Phanes =/ Celestia.

Regaring point 1. Not necessarily, that's not confirmed. If you read book from Byakuyakoku you will see they believed Phanes WON the war. It might be truth. There was a serious change after this, yes, that requires explanation. There is a theory, that united civilisation of humankind under Phanes brang attention of Honkai and that was mentioned war. Phanes won indeed, but from now on, to basically survive, Celestia have new policy of restraining humanity and hiding truth about the past. Plus, Celestia can be weakened and changed because of the war... Remember Sky Nails from Celestia? Commonly people think it's Celestia destroying civilisations and really it looks like that at the first glance. But on the other hand, we know that Khaernia'h already brang catastrophe on themselves by their own acting, by Gold actions, causing sudden monsters appearance - honkai beasts. In Chasm we see that Sky Nail is emitting light element that suppresses dark element (honkai). If we take a closer look about various stories in the game about sudden appearance of some beasts like Rifthounds, etc, then it looks really similar to honkai attacks. Sky Nails were not against humanity, just the opposite, it was to save rest of the humanity, including hidding the truth about the past of advanced civilisations. It's still one Celestia, even if changed. In some sense it might be called second, but it's not alien force that won the war with first Celestia. Some (all?) Archons might not like changes or have other various reasons to distance themselves from Celestia, plus surely not all their motives might be good, as we easily can see what horrid things Fatui is doing.
One detail - why do you think remains of first Celestia are in Byakuyakoku?? I think you confused something. It was said Istaroth came to Byakuyakoku to help them and she lead Aberaku to BUILD Dainichi Mikoshi. It's surely based on something in Celestia, but it's a new thing and Aberaku was praised by his achievements and we know about Sunchild who wanted to build another tower to surpass Aberaku.

I wouldn't say is completely irrelevant. Keep in mind that Griseo says in Chapter 42 that she will leave Qiming and set out with the Ark again at some point.
So we can say that Genshin Events are on the future when Griseo its leaving Qiming to continue exploring or that Teyvat is just a bubble universe she created and kept on secret@@HomuLabs

I don't think Griseo herself is the primordial one, but from the very first month of Genshin I did guess that Genshin is just a simulation inside the project ARK aka Tevyat. and inside that simulation is all the holding concept such as primordial one aka Tevyat God, the hollow earth theory, Celestia & sky people, etc., as it tries to simulate a way for humanity to survive.
Like: I can imagine that Griseo is the artisan, the one who rules how project ARK is going. even if she can't contact back. Prob she has lost her sanity by the start of Tevyat. Griseo painted the primordial one, prob on the form likened to herself or person that she knew from her time on her own home Earth. She's not primordial one herself, she's the one who painted the primordial one inside one of project ARK's many simulations.
No she doesn't have power to literally shape a planet. She simulates the planet and it's that simulated planet she changes around. This is back to the whole Demiurge thematic of thinking that it was the supreme creator without realizing (or well, in Griseo's case, remembering) that itself was a creation.
also she prob repainted on top of a world where something akin to the og 7 dragon lords exist. if project ARK is supposed to be used to find a sustainable place where the human genome memory can be released in hope that it can reform civilization back at another planet/place, then Tevyat is simulated on something else they captured. you know: what will happen if humans live here? sort of thing.
I think the existence of Griseo just creates the indirect, big background concept that the idea exist in the honkai-verse and can be used as story plot in Genshin if they want.
Although I need to note: Hoyoverse does tease, but they never truly connected one franchise to another in a narrative sense before. So I doubt the story of Genshin and Honkai will ever connect.
(also reason why I don't think Griseo is the primordial one, just the one who "created" the primordial one. that extra layer is sort of important to make sure the 2 story stay separated.)
Griseo could be Rhinedottir aka Gold - alchemist from Khaenri'ah, who practiced Art of Khemia. It is what Albedo doing now. Rhinedottir was friends with Alice. Alice belongs to a long-lived race and is at least 500 years old. Sounds very similar to Flame Chasers. Maybe Khaenri'ah actually was formed with people from project Ark. Genshin dont have any other nation with so high technological level as it was in Khaenri'ah.

Story of honkai and ofc genshin has a lot of parralels with story of noah. PE was destroyed because of flamechasers not being good enough and fighting among themselves. And in a lot of places in honkai flamechasers are regarded as "sinners". So sinners were killed by a natural disaster while griseo's arc got to teyvat. I can't know the genshin part of this story cuz i didnt play it.

after learning about project stigma's nature. I think the events in genshin happen while humanity is trapped inside the stigmata space. I don't know how long will Kiana's gang take to revert project stigma. but since gray serpent said that during project stigma humanity is in the state of dreaming-like, the time she's taking may feel like eternity for the people inside the stigmata space. I haven't got the time to play genshin but I have a friend who is quite invested in it and sometimes spoils a small bit of the story to me lol.
I heard that the early genshin civilization was more advanced than it currently is. that might be because of they know the technology from their previous life in proper world. I also heard a theory that says the archons are actually the bad guys while the harbingers are the good guys. the archons might be the representation of stigmata who want to keep humanity in the dream cage while the harbingers are the one who want free them. neither of them has bad intention against humanity, just a different side of the same coin.
in the bubble moon, dr MEI said that project stigma is made possible by borrowing the power of finality from the final herrscher. it may either be the character resembling HoV Kiana in genshin or the primordial one. while it's too early to say that the honkai-free world of genshin is what the project stigmata is all about, it's also the right time to say that the one who would free them from their dream cage is the honkai (the four remaining herrschers on the proper world)

Yes, I know. I even said that in the video. But people also forget that she was just a child at that time and her powers might change and mature with time. As Vill-V said, the Ark was designed with the growth of the individual who boarded it in mind. There is also the theory that if Teyvat is truly in the Sea of Quanta and Griseo ended up there, her powers could manifest in the same way since the SoQ function a lot like ER. It's a space between dimension that decomposes everything into data and it's appearance it's influenced by the perspective of the observer.
How about someone godlike who take Su to him before death? MOTHs directors say (chapter 29) what they not rely on any from "cosmic team"(i summarized) except Vill-V who can create comething complicated. And Aponia's mural from Honkai is on Tsurumi.
I can't help but think that Griseo is a reference to Dark Souls 3's Painter Girl in the Ashes of Ariandel DLC seeing as both of them have the ability to "paint" worlds. (It would be cool if this were the case since there are a few ingame achievements that directly reference Dark Souls)

Griseo's one of my faves in Honkai so I love this theory! Thinking about it, the girl in Genshin's Blessing of the Welkin Moon kinda reminds me of Griseo. The design on the bowl the primogems are poured into when logging into Genshin when you have the subscription even seems a bit visually similar to the blue triangle / flower shaped ornament on Griseo's dress.
I guess this theory could be true as we see some character resemblance in honkai and genshin but it does not imply with Griseo theory as she didt know Wendy nor raiden mei(in real world) so how would she make resemble it could be possible only if someone from real world would have gone teyvat or formed teyvat
maybe Griseo has seen the Previous Era Herrscher of Wind (probably she has been recorded in the Ark like a computer server or something that records the data) and also maybe she has been interact with Dr. MEI sometimes so that's why there's a resemblance

This is so awesome! I think it's really sad that most Genshin Lore channels know nothing about Honkai lore. I see so many of their theories not holding any weight because they don't consider the Hoyoverse existing above Genshin in terms of the mechanics in the narrative. I think you have one of the best lore channels, thanks! If I had to guess, I bet when Honkai Star Rail gets released they will connect Genshin to Honkai more concretely at the lore level to get people to consider playing HSR.

It is a totally different person. In the same book of sun and moon, we learn something called "the second who came" who arrived in teyvat after the primordial and wage a war against it, bringing chaos to teyvat.
This could mean that griseo fought against that second who came and seeing how celestia has been acting in genshin, you could say that she lost.
I also want to add that the latest artifacts set in 3.3 state that the primordial one actually dropped celestian nails to various teyvatian civilizations to mend the land of illusions brought by the second who came. This refer to griseo patching the corrupt painting during the event.

From narrative standpoint, the relation between Honkai and Genshin is akin to Xenoblade Chronicles. In the final chapters of Honkai, it's more apparent the traveller's role in Teyvat parallels Elysia, Flamechasers, and the main trio.

I think this theory can work pretty well tbh. It does have a lot of key points that can be at least referenced, if not confirmed. The thing that gets me is...what about the genshin battle pass cutscene??? Is it possible that Griseo is the princess that got corrupted in the end??? Maybe the whole thing about the princess being convinced she was the queen of darkness can be referenced to her honkai powers consuming her mental state and she basically became a herrscher herself. Im pretty sure the snake in the BP scene has something to do with Mobius, as its too convenient to me to use a snake. Im wondering if the man who was told to find the pearl is actually Kosma, as from what ive gathered we really dont know how he died in honkai. But what if he was sent in as a second "ark" after Griseo's seemingly failed. What if outside this giant bubble of teyvat theres just a huge honkai war raging around due to Griseo being a herrscher? We never really got any true connections on what story the BP cutscene is referencing, but it seems very convenient to me to assume this is the story of the Primordial Ones downfall into madness.
I tried to think about it... but I really didn't find any way to properly connect the battle pass cutscene with this theory without an outrageous amount of speculation.

Kosma died on the moon according to the beta cinematic that will show up near the end of the Elysian Realm arc. The only living Flamechasers left are Kevin(head of World Serpent), Fu Hua(HoS), and Griseo(somewhere in the stars). All the other Flamechasers were left behind on the moon and died against the Herrscher of the End

2 months ago i wondered what kind of connection paimon would have to griseo. i have connected the dots: the second one who came defeated the primordial one and masked themselves as her, and the heavenly principles was one of the shadows. now she serves the second who came maybe cuz they just manipulated her or smth, and since paimon shows some resemblance to the heavenly principles, she could be one of the shadows as well. i remember reading somewhere that we could forward time ingame cuz well thanks to paimon, and one of the shadows was god of time or smth right (istaroth iirc ?)
Paimon doesn't control time. When you skip time in Genshin, your character is literally waiting all that time. Nothing magical.
Really special thing about Paimon is her ability to disappear and then pop up whenever she wants. It was mentioned in the main story dialogues.

Speaking of Griseo's honkai beast, if assuming this theory is true - Phanes had wings and a crown and was androgynous. That sounds quite like an angel: angel wings, a crown - a halo and angels are sometimes depicted as being androgynous. So maybe her honkai beast looked some what like an angel?
Closest thing I can think of is a dove since it's always associated with Griseo, which has some angelic features.

playing honkai and genshin I just see genshin as a small-scale honkai universe where celestia = will of honkai; herrschers = archons; khaenri'ah = human civilization; and so on. but with this theory incorporated it would seem like griseo became a pseudo-will of honkai that sent the archons to destroy khaenri'ah to stop the human civilization's advancement to keep teyvat out of the radar of the actual will of honkai. kinda sad because she became what they seek to destroy.
I am Genshin player for about 2 years. Also i know a little bit about Honkai. I played it for about 2 month.
I think Project Ark has some relation to Genshin, but I dont feel like Griseo could be Primodial One. Lore about Primodial One, shades, all around Enkanomiya, Khaenri'ah and other old nations, Seelies race, Moon sisters, arcons, etc all this is too much deep for Griseo from Honkai because Honkai do not have so deep and complicated lore in history.
We dont know what happened on spaceship. What devices and materials was on spaceship. Where is Griseo now? Is she still alive?
Beside space is so big with multiple universes. My believe is that Primodial One was from other universe or dimension and was totally strange for planet. Therefore he was super-entity for this planet. Still question is - who was Second who came? From where he/she came and who sent him/her?
For those who are very glad if Griseo would be ruler of Celestia, I want to point on some very important circumstance - Celestia nuked several nations in Genshin with Skyfrost Nail (it is like Nuclear weapon), killed several gods because of some forbidding knowledge (more likely about Celestia). It is, because Albedo is made by Rhinedottir who copied the Travellers. And travellers has something to do with Griseo.
We need to remember that the procedure utilized to create manthises made it impossible for them to grow. Fu Hua still looks like a 14-16 yo girl even after 50k+ years. So the fact that the Primordial one is an Androgynus person may still stand (ignoring a few charactheristics that make her a girl). Now, even if the Manthises are immortal, they can still be killed, just not by normal means. Maybe the one ruling over celestia killed her, and given the fact that she is easily influenced, maybe the ruler made everything possible to convince her that a su i ci de was the best for her.

This really is food for thought because we have seen the MANTIS powers manifest very differently from person to person. While it's true that it was stated that they cannot die unless wounded in battle, we have seen cases like Mobius who does age. All I'm saying is that... if HoYo really wanted to come up with a reason to present us with a grown-up version of Griseo, they certainly could.

Project ark theory is quite plausible given to the hints dropped on their dialouge and manga (of course) the writer did it on purpose to invoke fun discussion between fans.
Better read Chinese novel after finishing Honkai impact or rather read Honkai itself since it is a Chinese novel.

I believe tho a theory that she was captured by Sky People is more believable, since they are exactly similar to creatures she creates, and Sea of Quanta is a very tricky place you probably can't enter through space. That's pretty much why 2nd Devine Key, Cosmic Juggernaut, exists to travel across universes through space, and it is the train MC travels on in Honkai: Star Rail.
P.S. I still believe tho Genshin's twins were created by one of Flame-chasers, but I guess we will see it in its finale.
