Trying to remove my old air filter box now and with the two bolts removed it seems like it's connected in the back somehow? I have pulled pretty hard on it, but worry anymore will break something. Is there a bolt in the back on some?
I'm sorry if the engine is sucked, it does not make sense for me to install the connection that follows after the filter down to the bottom of the motor .... because the air sucked will be what is wrapped in the filter.
What bumper? That is the standard bumper in all 9th Gen Civics Sedan, they just installed the front bumper lip spoiler... You can buy it from eBay... I got mine already.

You can probably tune it up 10hp and that’s after a couple thousands: I suggest leaving it as is and buying a different car if you want more power. got error emissions codes with my 2012 r18 ex. ordered hondata and now I got the codes away but it stutters at 2000rpm and 3000rpm when vtec kicks in...and I changed this to 3500-5500 and it ran amazing. 35mpg in town 45-60 highway but then I got error codes for bad muffler circulation. I have an aftermarket axel back 3' inleft 4' outlet. so I just flashed it back to stock and in process of tryna find a performance shop to see why this stutter is occurring.

As long as you reinstall the air flow sensor, you should be fine. If you really want to do this, just take the time to learn what goes where and how to put the stock back if anything happens
i cant remove the air box from the mounting brackets (step 5) is there a specific way to remove it? i literally tried pulling it up and side to side but no luck. im at a stand still now if any one has ever done this before let me know pls
Tyler Redford i didnt. theres something holding on the airbox itself and its not a simple lift it up and pull it just like on the video. im gonna get my mechanic to just do it when its time for an oil change
Tyler Redford take it to the shop and ask them to remove it for you. I had to replace my tranny filter and I guess its underneath the air box so they had to remove it to get access to it. When I got home I was able to lift and pull the air box off since they loosened it up in the process of changing the filter.
Crimson XCVI so you had a transmission fluid change and filter ? my 2012 civic has around 68 xxx kms. i feel like changing the fluid is too early. they might just charge me for labour to clean the maf sensor(which is why i want to take off the air box).

Did some research and found out that the filter is underneath the airbox and in reality I needed them to at least loosen it up so i can clean the MAF and replace a cracked air intake hose myself. I dont know if that was a smart move on my part or what but I didnt want to break anything. Weird how its literally a gromet keeping the airbox down but it was impossible to remove. My car has 93k miles so it was time, either way dont go by mileage, check the fluid level and color. If its brown, its time to replace.
