Very nice video. Like you mention, we hear things differently. For me, I like the no baffle at all or the louvered...that is where I hear the best and deepest tone which I prefer.
I have the same pipes on my 2014 TriGlide and ended up with the louvered inserts to help with increasing torque to move the heavier bike. I'm very happy with them and yes, I did notice the difference off the line with the inserts.
I definitely have the baffles with the louder sound and hp I have the lovder ( I know I misspelled it) with the HP I'm in love with them. And I have a stage 4 with with Harley-Davidson and I got the bottom done through zippers performance. Because Harley-Davidson does not do the bottom of your engine only the top. When I say adding those chrome words in that baffle after I spoke with someone at Chrome works and let them know my bill they were dead on. Great video Jay
@@volunteeraudio im looking at the HP plus slip ons in obsidian. Does that have a different baffle installed from the ones your discussing here? From what Im reading they are a different insert that is packed.
I would like to see some Dyno numbers on the louvered baffles VS the Rippers VS what comes stock on the KWs slip ons. Just as concerned about what the torque curve looks like as I am on the sound.
Jay, Great video and awesome exhaust. Im a fan of out of the box Khromewerks and the louvered baffle. Just picked up a Khromewerks hidden header, loo,ing forward to seeing how my 24 Roadglide sounds. I have a set of ripper and performance baffles and may play with them. Thanks for the video.
Great video sounds excellent with good headphones. Having the stock head pipes should reduce the overall tone and volume from the true dual head pipes that most might be running. I will be using the performance baffle, many dyno tests show this as giving the best torque and H.P numbers.
I run there dominator 2n2 on my twin cam 103. Khrome werks suggest to not use any of there baffles on a twin cam. I tried the louvered anyways and they were right it ran like crap. So i pulled them and left it stock. Much better. These baffles I believe are for when your running there exhaust on an m8
I have the same on my 2014 twin cam, I have not tested the baffles on it but I do know they need more tuning to run right after changing exhaust than the m8 engines, most dyno guys recommend baffles
@@michaelpulice6100 I know they look similar but there is a good chance they don’t bolt up, give khrome werks a call and I’m sure they can verify if they will work
Good video. I would have liked to hear you comment on the seat of your pants Dyno. Besides the sound level could you tell any difference in the bike’s performance with the different baffles?
It’s hard to say, the bike already has a quick throttle response and I think it feels more powerful after installing the slip one but without actuall dyno results I don’t want to mislead. It could just be me twisting the throttle further to hear it lol
I bought the rippers thinking it would make my 117 louder but it killed the sound. Its loudest without the ripper inserts. I thought it would be the other way because the ripper makes it like a strait pipe. Oh well I still love my slip ons. Saving for a 2n2 head pipe and tune next
I have the louvered baffle 2 into 2 full exhaust on my 18cvo and it’s definitely quieter than I expected it to be. And no baffle is very noticeable on killing low end torque. So if you want all the torque and some more sound do a 2 into 1. Again my opinion

I totally agree.
Thanks for your time to do a comparison with these baffles. Your videos are absolutely the best 😊😊😊

My order is in for a set of the Ripper. For that price i just had to try them out myself.

I agree louvered is my favorite as well
I have the performance baffles in my 4.5 KW and they sound awesome (you forgot to mention the adjustable inlet which changes the sound)
I also would like to thank you for always providing good videos!
Do the 4.5 sound better than the smaller ones

Great choice!
I like the idle sound of the no baffle
But the on throttle with the “performance”baffle

@ no the slip ons come with a factory packing that is the same in all colors
Im doing Dominator . Complete header to tip system.

Louvered, true dual with KW headers

Reduction cone kit?
