- Inspired by the 25th anniversary of the BMX movie RAD this year 2011, my fav movie of all time!! It's been 20 years since i was 14 and tried to learn all the tricks from RAD, as you can see I never got the miami hopper or cherrypickers down. If you watch close, i throw in a hang-five near the end, which is probably my best trick...
Also, i haven't been riding my bike since '99 so the rust is layed on thick!
Anyway, i am stoked for Rad 2 and Accelerate!!

so cool. I remember watching these movies when I was little trying all the tricks and getting pumped up to go ride . 20 years later iam still riding and now with a son that loves dirtbikes and bmx as much as I do .. great video.
October 14th 2021 it will be in the cinema again just 1 time!!

boomerang from back pegs was my go to. only hit the pedal to pedal boomerang a few times. Saw you went for the lawnmower but no decade? many a groin injury were sustained trying to learn that one. would have liked to se you try a surfer or gut lever. ahh those were the days.
the 8 people that gave a thumbs down should have to reply with a video showing how "awesome" they are ! ..............this kid did a great job and had me smiling since the front tire first came into sight joining in with the opening track ! I wish I could give you more than a lousy thumbs up !
does anybody remember how bad that movie bmx bandits sucked ? they used to play that piece of crap on hbo all the time and never played RAD .

I have a nephew whos 24yrs old,im 53 ive been into freestyle since the mid 80's,i was riding about a month on my 88 Haro Master & he was standing there with all his wannabe "gangsta" friends making fun of me,so i gave him the bike....Within 20 seconds of him copying me he went down and nearly a month later is still limping around!!!!

I watched that movie like a thousand times and haven't seen it in years but when I saw all your moves, I remembered every little detail. It was almost perfect. Really cool man! Thanks for creating this.
One of my Fav. movies...I was 15 at the time doing the same thing ..I still have my GT hanging in my shop..Thanks for the posting this video...brought back so good memorys..

Good show. I was born the same year the movie was made and I got into it when I was about 16 and did the bike play for about 4 years. I didn't stay with it, but my heart always has!!! Nice vid and I'm glad people keep this film alive because it really is one of the best classics.

I'm only 25, but I was big into the more modern art of BMX. I got decent at it but I gave it up after hitting 21. I do miss it ever so much.

Dude! Major props for making and posting this. Im almost 30 now.. but Rad used to get watched often at my house with all my old BMX buddies. Please post any new findings of a sequel to that... it makes me cheese just thinking about it!

Dude, that intro started me flatlanding too & I'm almost 40 now. You've inspired me to go back to the old school & learn the hopper cause I couldn't do it back in the day & moved onto scuffing & rolling. Big props to you!

I know it has Hoffman decals on it, but that looks like my 96 Super Blammo with original Haro Kneesavers on it. 1" threadless head-set and Mega Hubs? Those bikes are so scarce (my serial # is WF95Fxxxx), and I know the bars from my old Ground Master (ironically sporting Redline Forklifters now). Great video, I was impressed that you did the Decade one direction and the tailwhip the other (goofy foot skater?). I could be wrong- been outta the scene for a while.
around 99 is when I hung up my standard shorty. I get it out now and again to see if I can still do everything. I did get the cherry picker but not no handed. like you I really wanted to learn everything in the movie.
