Take race out of it, these are people moving in that live differently to you. They don't wish to hear music blasted out into the street near their homes. I know about gentrification because it happens all around me and sickens me. This is not sickening, the music is disturbing the peace and with more people nearby you have to compromise. Music blasted out like that is NOT "culture"!
@@fightthefairy It is obvious that when somebody new comes in and tells the locals to stop playing music, there will be a problem. And that music is not "blasted". That street literally has new white establishments that play music far louder than that one go-go speaker.
To the gentrifiers.................. DC is DC , the District of Columbia(DC the city). DC is not just a capitol of America!!!! But a city. A city with a culture. Go- Go music is DC's culture!!!!!! And , Washington,DC the capitol of America has to co-exist with the inner-city of DC(the District) the city of DC!!!!

Yeah I’m blind, and I’m in Cali, but, I have fam and friends in the DMV. I’m usually the one for safety, but, in this case, if I ever visit/live in DC, I will want sighted assistance. I don’t want this music going anywhere! This stuff is the business!
We have gentrifiers that have a marathon that closes and blocks off streets in this city, so that ppl can run. This prevents the residents in these neighborhoods from leaving and and entering there own neighborhoods. Not to mention having Mpd to assist w/ street closures...As well as riding bikes in the traffic w/ automobiles which is also a,major annoyance and hazard... get in the bike lane where u belong... that why u have it.. but gentrifiers see no problem in their annoyances...go run around a park somewhere and stop holding resindents hostages in these neighborhood...damn shame...
This store us within the city noise ordinance, which means no law is broken. Also the music is played during regular business hrs.. not all hrs of nite.. These gentrifiers see no wrong, when they have public streets blocked by Mpd...which prevents residents from leaving and entering their own homes..ppl have places to go...so they can run around...as well as riding bikes in the traffic.u are not an automobile..get out of the street...get in the bike lane... where u belong...but the gentrifiers see no wrong in their Bullshit!!!

@Sudhir Kakar Good neighborhoods rather their own. A resource benefitted that is practiced and stimulated solely to many other groups within this country but blacks. Economics, education, finances, religion, media, entertainment, even crime doesn't belong to any black people within their communities as it's all compromise to the very source which perpetuates stagnation to self sufficiency developing to progress oppose to consistent decline.
