I have an RX100M6 as well and I have mixed feelings about it. It's really crazy versatile and I can bring it with me everywhere, but I live in southern california and the conditions are usually bright harsh light. It doesn't seem to handle it well, I'm assuming the 1" sensor struggles with that amount of contrast. Highlights are blown out, shadows are tough to recover. When I compare to results from my aps-c cameras, it just doesn't feel all that special. Also, sometimes I just prefer my iphone at that point because its computational photography handles those harsh light conditions really well. I've been thinking about switching from the RX100 to a Ricoh GR, or maybe just finally upgrade to the latest iphone from my XR lol. Those criticisms aside, it is pretty crazy having that much zoom, plus flash, plus evf, plus the full range of camera options from sony all on one tiny camera. Even if the images aren't amazing, you'll almost always be able to get the shot.
I used this camera for a few years. Sold it mainly because of the jpeg color and on/off speed. It's versatile, but my phone can render color better. One thing I missed is the size. I'm eyeing for griiix
Hello, I’m using the canon g5x mkii as my pocket camera...good also with 24-120mm f1.8-2.8 zoom lens and good little grip. Always with me during holiday travels.
I used to have one of these. They are fun! Photos are good quality. I just found it redundant based on what I already had, so I sold it. I really enjoyed seeing Bucharest! I want to visit someday. :)
It’s the process. My 95-year-old mother-in-law can take an iPhone pic. Using a more traditional camera creates a photographic process that often requires some thinking. The connection between photo and photographer is different with a camera vs phone. But, the iPhone is definitely more convenient.

I am surprised more people haven’t tried this camera. The versatility of the zoom is amazing. The biggest drawback is the price, for an rx100 VII.
Big fan of this camera, get the little Sony grip that makes a big difference, only drawback is ergonomics. Shoot RAW

This is much better than a phone!

Why not just use your phone?
