So I found out this show existed like a week ago. I've been a fan of the Golden Girls but I had no idea there was a sequel series. And I only recognize 'Chuy' from the first Spy Kids..."I'm not your uncle." LMAO. It shows my age. But I do recognize Don Cheadle. So young.
Roland sounded like Dorothy a little when he first answered Rose about how his dog died. This show would have been alright without Dorothy to the point I treat it like it's the cousin of The Golden Girls. I just believed it aired at a bad time.
Sofia was always mean, putting her daughter down all the opportunities she got, made Dorothy support her financially while she had money. Always saying something to humilliate Rose and Blanche...She was my least favorite..
@Titanium She's gotten even worse ever since Dorothy has left. Dorothy kept Sophia in check and made sure she behaved herself. So glad Rose got her back in this episode
The fact people say Dorothy was always the mean one baffles me. Have they forgotten all the nasty and rude things Sophia's said and done to people over her years on the Golden Girls? Especially Dorothy, who has loved her through her good and bad as well as sacrifice for her constantly. Sophia is someone who needs a tough force to look after her and Chuy/Roland seem to be sort of treating her the way Dorothy would.
Love the Golden Girls but with this episode the decline of the program begins....leave racial and politics out of comedy relief or just watch the ugly News.
