- The Nissan Versa is a great car for people who just need a car but realize that you don't need to finance your arm and leg to do so. The price is right, but the audio is basic.

The bass is too strong that not only the mirrors are shaking, but the doors as well 🤣
You can turn down the bass
I honestly always liked the Nissan sound systems. Sure they can be a bit muffled, especially the 4 speaker ones, but to my ears, they have a warmth to them that’s unmatched. I don’t know how they even manage it with no sub. Those base model Nissan stereos are really good value in my opinion, and my uncle once rented a new-ish Versa and preferred it over his Prius base stereo system.
My old Nissan Versa came with two (2) speakers and an anemic stereo which was fine because it was probably all those two speakers could have handled anyway. If I had to give it an objective grade it would be an F-, but if you cherry-picked the songs and ignored the woeful lack of volume, it actually sounded great.
@@barfy362 Must’ve been a first generation. I also have family who once owned a 1st gen that had 4 speakers, 1 per door, and a radio with CD, and possibly AUX mode. The rest of the interior was pretty basic: the beige interior, with manual locks and windows. (Manual windows were very nice on a hot day. No need to idle!) The CD player was the absolutely the best CD player I have ever heard: with bass on max, it had enough bass to make items shake in the door panels. The new Kenwood speakers did not reduce this effect. However, if I recall, the tuner section was actually very weak in terms of bass. The newer Nissans, which my family have rented quite a bit on vacations, seem to have far better tuners.
I have the same 23 Versa, I have Focal components going in the front that I used in my Frontier. I told myself I wouldn’t mess with this car but I can’t help it I love my music. I am hoping the tweeters aren’t a nightmare to get to. First move is to install the 6.5’s in the front and see how they sound, I have a Kicker 4 channel amp ready to go as well. I don’t think I will mess with the rear doors just the front stage
This was easily my favorite bass test🥴
Dang. For a car with no subwoofer, this thing has some SERIOUS bass. Midrange sounds a bit hollow. Higher frequencies sound pretty good. Bass is solid C tier, everything else is D tier.
Don’t let that fool you my car does the same thing but the bass is so weak as sounds so muddy and breaks up at higher volume
Love this car in Electric Blue!
Thank you for the videos. Can you please review the new Ranger raptor sound system ?
Thanks! And yup we plan to!
I own a 2022 Versa S trim & i love it, but the sound system is crap. The EQ only has bass & treble & you have to turn the bass all the way down just to make it listenable. I'm very thankful i have a sound system at all, but i'm def going to have to upgrade those speakers. Yikes!
How to add Sirius satellite radio to the S model 2023 can you purchase the upgrade radio from Nissan
Friend, I would like you try the Nissan Sentra, Since I would like to know how it sounds and if it has changes
Right on, I'll try to get one!
I have one and I will say the SV trim stock system is so shouty. It also is bright in a way that suggests it has artificial reverb or wideness applied.
Would it be difficult to add an amp and subwoofer to this car?
I have a 2023 SR and want more bass
Easy to add an amp/sub. Tap the wires behind the head unit and run to a DSP or a LOC.
wow, that mirror shakes like if there was a subwoofer
Lmfao don’t be fooled my mirrors shake and my review mirror jumps and shakes like crazy but the bass is extremely weak it uses a bass booster to produce the spin and it totally suck
I'm sure half of buyers would give up half of the useless features in these modern vehicles just for a better sounding audio system. We're in 2023 and speakers in some cars today sound worse than what was out there 40+ years ago. Those speakers in that Nissan sounded like my AM/FM Alarm Clock radio at times.
That’s true
