Please please read my response to someone in the thread started by aland723 .
That might help you and I don't want to have to repeat myself .
Also please think about doing what is called Super Brain yoga but it's not like regular yoga you're just doing sets of squats a specific way .
It has been done for thousands of years and is very good for the brain and and the whole neurology .
If you can do a set of repetitions in the morning maybe you can do more again later in the day because doing sets of reps is where you see results .
It helps with all kinds of neurological problems and the best video about it is pretty old for maybe about 11 years ago or more and it was 4:18 minutes long and is a clip from a newscast so please look for it and watch that

ToxicWorld that’s a pretty big accusation to make but I understand where the good intentions comes from. I personally do not like to compare peoples trauma and say one persons pain is greater than someone else’s. I had a brain tumor and a good portion of my right frontal lobe removed. I stayed in school, kept my job and unfortunately you’d be surprised how often I self reflected and ensured that I would not become irrational, angry, or be cautious to think before I speak so much and how many family members and friends told me I was imagining symptoms and making excuses for things. My family and especially “friends” were totally nonchalant about it and expected me to just get over it. Some even took advantage to manipulate me which caused me to overcompensate even more on being overly kind. I’m not telling you this to rant. I understand it can be hard on family. I was always very careful to keep my emotions in check and always think if my emotions were warranted especially with my husband. It was a terrifying time. Fortunately my husband educated himself and was very loving and helpful and we communicated often. The same can not be said for pretty much everyone else in my life. That’s why videos like this are so important. It’s to inform which is why I thanked her. I’m sorry if you’ve been having a rough time with someone in your life who has been affected by a frontal lobe trauma. Maybe instead of trying to compare and make ones trauma greater than another’s you try communicating with them and having an open discussion. I’m sure they would appreciate it and It will help you get your feelings out as well and maybe help them self reflect if needed.

Best way to help your frontal lobe get enough blood supply and to function better is to prostrate as many times and as long as possible. I mean get down on your knees and touch the ground with your forehead. Stay like that for a minute or so. This way, the gravity causes a flow of an extra amount of blood hence oxygen to the frontal lobe. It also helps with reducing panic attack. This is not proven science but based on my personal experience. Aa a Muslim we have to prostrate many times in a day so that's how I discovered the difference 🙂. May Allah SWT helps all the ones who suffer any problems. Ameen!

I had a traumatic brain injury at the age of one year old (57 years ago) and it damaged my Olfactory nerve which caused me to permanently lose my sense of smell.
I've always struggled to fit in with everyone else during my childhood and my adult life.
I've always been treated like a second class member of my family and everybody that knows me thinks that I'm 'crazy', and most of them treat me as such.
I've just recently gave up all hope of ever finding a wife to grow old with as I am now 58 years old. 😢
I now (finally) understand that I will continue to be all alone for the rest of my life. It's a miserable depressing existence watching life pass me by, while others take what they have for granted.
Anyway, enough of my 'pity party'.
I've accepted Christ as my savior, so one day I'll be in Heaven with a brand new body, and sound mind... AND I'll be able to smell! 🙂

Am so sorry for the strife you have had. I worry about the same for my 32 yo son. I am here because he had a TBi at 20, 12 years ago. Yesterday, the anniversary of the accident, he had to be removed from my home for violent outbursts. He struggles with short term memory since the accident. Five years ago, after a breakup from his girlfriend since high school he started to self medicate with alcohol and who knows what else. His frontal lobe damage has caused personality changes but only when he drinks. He is his usual loving and helpful person when he's sober. We had to have him hospitalized yesterday after he attack his teenage little brother unprovoked who has never seen this side of him. He has much paranoia and even accused me of sleeping with his uncle because someone that knew his uncle growing up, said he looked like him. He looks like the family and it took me a long time and other people saying how impossible it was. Before his death I despised the man. It would never had happened. He dies have a problem with thinking others judge him and will get agitated and loud when that happens. Most of the time its over nothing and no one takes notice until he is so animated about it. Its a struggle for the patient and the family. Its heart wrenching to watch my son go through this but we are at the point I can't help any more. I have to keep the rest of the family safe. I won't turn my back on him. I am struggling because there is not much mental health help in our rural area unless its a dire situation like yesterday. I hope we all can find answers in the near future. I see how its is for my son and he has a loving family. I am so sorry for those of you navigating this without moral support. Hang in there always.

At 44 years old I've literally been to the school of hard knocks and exhibited many of these symptoms since my first concusion at 11 years old. In June of this year I was in an atv accident. I was thrown off at 45 mph and went flying and hit the back of my head on the road. I don't remember if I lost consciousness but I was dizzy for several minutes afterwards, waited 4 days to go to ER (yes I know, dumb mistake #2, #1 was no helmet). CT scan was normal. I had constant severe vertigo for 3 weeks. I'm doing better now and even though I've had the symptoms most of my life I'm just not the same after the last accident. The lack of motivation and my memory is so much worse. Recent MRI shows a lesion in the left frontal lobe and I'm just waiting for my follow up. Anyhow thanks again for the video.

my older cousin was playing golf with his friends and his golf cart flipped over and he cracked the front of his skull damaging his frontal lobe and caused him to fall into a coma. We all thought he was going to die but fortunately that wasn’t the case. He woke up but he was confused and became very angry and now he’s starting to throw things in the hospital. His wife, mom and dad sometimes can’t get anywhere near him because of the violent outbursts. Doctor said it could take 3-12 months before recovery but we’re all worried he will never be the same again.

The anger is usually worst early after the injury. Sometimes medications can help in this phase. People can improve for a long time after brain injury.

I have childhood trauma. I've also had a concussion. Both are related to the frontal lobe, I believe. The speech and cognitive therapy didn't help me. The therapists were still using cassette tapes. I felt like a child. I mostly did well. If they were up-to-date, maybe I'd be somewhat better by now. I still have a lot of issues like you mentioned, with confusion and forgetfulness as well. My providers almost always tell me to do word searches, crossword puzzles, puzzles, etc. I can do them as easily as I had been before the concussion, so their advice isn't helpful to me. TY for the information, though.

I’m so sad, I suffer a lot of head injuries as a child due to my incompetence mom and well other accident. The amount damage to head, I believe if someone took as much damage to the head as I did as a child, they would of been brain dead, it’s miracle I wasn’t brain dead. My major is early child hood education the more I learn about the more my mom didn’t do a good job with me, you have to make sure the child is safe and secure in a environment which my mom fail to do. It affected my learning, speaking, memories, listening. Sometime I can’t even get my thought out when I’m trying to say something. This definitely killed alot of my opportunity in life which makes me sad. I try to do things by increasing my neuroplasticity by doing new things and working out. I feel like my brain is at limit by improving my brain cognition. It doesn’t help when someone ask me what to do and I fail to do it the first time which makes me look dumb. I hate making myself look dumb which makes me have anxiety and anxious which def doesn’t help when someone is telling you to do something.

I had an accident when I was a kid. I dived toward a bed and I hit my forehead on the metal frame. The force was so blunt that it opened a hole in my head. I never thought anything of it until 42 years later when I've been trying to analyze why nothing right has happened in my life. I've always been comfortable by myself. I just thought other kids had their issues and I didn't want to be part of that. I now realize that maybe something wasn't right and I've never developed friendships growing up. I've always been quiet. I've been wondering if having a hard time staying to schedules is a symptom of frontal lobe damage. Teachers and other adults seem to have such an easy time of remembering to do a task on a certain day monthly. For instance, every first Monday of the month they remember to do a certain task. Even if I wrote it down, I would have a hard time remembering that I even wrote it down.

He cannot identify with my emotions at all. We don’t have conversations. I see him getting worse. The doctors did not warn me of these symptoms. I see in his reports about the frontal lobe ‘old stroke.’ She described my husband well and he is hard to live with.
I’ve have not had a date since last July, I don’t know when he got me a flower last, and he is getting more edgy. He cannot make a plan and carry it through. He has outbursts that are illogical. This has been several
Years now and I do feel I disrespected and unappreciated. My mom is going down as is my sister. Life is difficult. We have an appt with neurologist very soon. Reading his Cat scan and mri reports were enlightening. I have to know if this is further aggressive.
I tried to tell his sisters, but don’t think they got it or see a problem. I have a huge lack of support for having to care for many around me. I don’t want pity, but understanding and emotional support like many of you all say. I just thought I would share a wife’s point of view. God bless you all.

I have a clear memory of sustaining a frontal head injury in 2nd grade. I was running very fast on the playground and I must have gotten distracted because I turned my head to look at something while still running and I collided, full-speed, forehead to forehead with another kid. I also skateboarded very consistently for years growing up and have had my share of falls without a helmet. I’m 23 now and I see patterns of poor impulse control, concentration problems, antisocial behavior, and risky behaviors. While I can’t say for certain that those early injuries were a cause, I have a feeling that sustaining those injuries during a time when the protective sheath of the brain is not fully developed, probably didn’t do me any favors.

She is getting to the point where it is and has damaged my possibilities to date, meet someone, have company and basically have a life. I used to be her counselor at an adult facility and I figured I could do better than they were doing. Yes, I made what I consider "Breakthroughs," but a lot of it was her manipulating me into thinking she was going through something when in fact she was making it all up for attention. She has stolen money from the jobs she had worked at, the police won't do anything about it because they said, "Until someone comes to us about it and wants to file charges, sorry! We can't do anything about it." Even though I gave them all needed information!!! She has kicked-in my car, keyed it just because I said I didn't want to drive her somewhere one day and has physically attacked me when I said she needs to to her chores! I'd Love to have input!!!!

man idk makes the frontal lobe more useable without overstressing itself and maintaining a constant level of brain activity while bringing you into a state of neurogenesis. Higher cbd strains will do the same but with everyday things like walking the dog, concentrating on work, etc. when you want to rebuild brain cells with no distractions at all(similar to how we were created in our pre adolescent stage) just keep picking up a pipe or joint until you literally feel like you cannot see.

I got hit in the frontal lobe several years ago. It caused swelling , bruises , sensitive to sounds, light, touch, depression and anxiety increased, brain fog, decision making worse, chronic migraines and headaches . Sadly , x rays was taken , but just seen frontal lobe bigger from birth. Doctors said I was normal. I was also walking embalance to. My former work place had a drug test done on me. They found nothing . My doctor at the time said I could work. I end up getting a choice to stay until I was fired, or quite. Sense the doctor had no x rays to prove I was sick , I just quite. I ended up sleeping on friends couches and in my car for months , then I moved in with a friend. Later, he became my roommate. Now my fiance. Sadly, I can not get married, because I am on disability benefits.
Point is, head injury caused fibromyalgia and the stress getting help caused other disease. Seven years I fought for my disability. I got it from have Pundenal Neuralgia. I suffered from that five years before my head injuries. Doctors later diagnosed me with PN , but before it was IC ( interstitial Cystitis). It's bulge disk of s1 and s2 causing it. Just say, you don't have to get old to get disabled and judged for being sick. I feel 80 , but age 40.
If I had understanding medical community and employers on my side, I would have not gotten so sick.
    Karma get them all back.

    • @UtahNeuroRehabilitation

It is closest to the temporal lobe. But when you have a hard hit on the head, all of the brain can be injured. The brain tends to get shaken around in the skull and any area can be injured.

Also, use the Zones of Regulation. This can help a lot.
      th-cam.com/video/zI5GGEIH3js/w-d-xo.html
Also, some form of daily exercise can be very calming.

I took hallucinogenic mushrooms one time in 1999 when I was 28 with friends on vacation in California and felt paranoid for several hours but even the next day I just didn't feel right.. I expected as with drinking alcohol or Marijuana etc when altering your natural state you sleep and when you wake you feel normal again. Nobody can tell anything is wrong but from that day my thoughts aren't as organized and I just don't feel right in the front upper left quarter of my brain I feel a constant mild pressure. A few months after using those mushrooms I had a sudden debilitating vertigo where I couldn't leave the chair for several days and finally subsided but I still felt the pressure and tried to simply ride a bike which I was a terror on in my teens doing tricks, jumps etc but I made it about 10 yards and flipped over the handlebars because I felt I was spinning and jersey the steering to the left.
I've learned to live with it but I'm absolutely athletically & mentally deficient a fair amount since that day.
If I can see something while walking I can lose balance.
My memory with word use has deteriorated like remembering the right word.
I feel like something in my brain is constricted or has thick pressure.
I am aware of my brain like I shake my head I can feel my brain which I could never feel anything before.
I use to be incredibly athletic but since that day I never ran again..
My mood is just kind of flat always.
When I would drink alcohol I use to get talkative and playful now there's no change like that.
I got addicted to pain pills because it made me feel happy & playful when nothing else helped me but I am now over that 2 years.
I feel if someone did some kind of brain scan they would see something wrong with my front upper left brain like a vein is blocked or something. Lol!!!
I know it's not so easy but I feel that area is where the issue is.
Any advice on the best to help return me to normal??????
