@@PlanetautoUK I'm really liking the look and feel of the Seat Arona when I test drove it (feels more premium and solid), but the mild hybrid battery and few extra technologies in the Kia make it hard to decide.
Yes, the Stonic hasn’t quite caught up with the build quality of the newer Kia models, mind you they both launched around the same time. I honestly don’t know which one I’d choose.
Very, very helpful walk through of the car! I'm from the US and looking to rent something for the family while in Ireland this summer and I really appreciate getting to see what I'm renting before I show up since we don't have these over here. Thanks!!
Glad to be of service, P D. Enjoy your experience in the Arona, and if you get the chance pop over and visit the Isle of Man. It’s where Ben’s family come from, and it’s a lovely place to be. *A
@@PlanetautoUK Great trip, but we ended up with a VW. I got the hang of driving on the other side of the road within a day though backwards roundabouts aren't easy to cope with at first!
I bet, we own a Mk2 Golf GTI 91’ thank you for coming back - we’ve also started reviewing US vehicles :) Encore GX was our first one a Brit living in Ohio
I have a 2018 Seat 1.0 tsi, automatic. What I can say after a year of usage is that the engine is absolutely beautiful, haven't had a single problem with it and I personally always keep it in semi manual shift and personally like to get to around 4-5k rpm before switching gears. However a couple of issues I've seen/heard about is the quality of the dashboard, it seems to wear down quite a bit over time, furthermore the actual build quality of the front is very similar to Tesla, in the sense that it will keep you safe... Yet a single head on collision will completely ruin the car due to it's soft and absorbent properties. Overall, great car, spacious, a bit pricey, spectacular engine with ridiculous power considering it's 1.0l capacity with 115 horse power. Just make sure you don't crash!
Sounds superb, a lot of cars are now built to be written off in a low speed head on/ pedestrian collision, good to see you’re enjoying it. Drive safely and thank you Robert.
That car, in that spec and such a wonderful colour really does look impressive. SEAT’s really should be in a nice 🔥red it bring out its Spanish heritage :)
A very good looking car especially in that colour scheme, proper gearbox and handbrake, shame about the screens but that’s what you get these days . Can’t put my finger on what , but something tells me this wasn’t filmed recently !
This was a fun jaunt last week as you can tell from the winter clothes and ice on the windscreen, and not last July. Now that was a week to remember, that manual was a lovely box and a nice change, thank you Richard.
This is a very nice car. I have been a passenger in one and was very impressed with the car overall. Your report mirrors my impressions, pity I couldn’t get a drive!😂
HI Aras - The consensus is around the 40mpg mark for moderate city driving, but it's easy to get it above that. We were getting between 42 and 45 mpg on our road trip, and that was with Ben driving (and his lead foot, lol) Hope this helps. *A

@@PlanetautoUK Well we tried a SX-4 S-Cross and Vitara last week and found the former a bit 'uninvolved' vs the Vitara. Haven't had a chance to try an Arona or Ateca yet. I don't like a suspension to be too hard or bouncy (Honda HRV bounced us all over the place), but found the Vitara to be okay in that regard (seats were better in the S-Cross though). I do like to feel what the car is doing.
VWG are always a bit pricier also many people looking at small crossovers, Bayon etc are happy with the spec, shame there’s no Cupra that would sort it, thank you Jim
What do you think of the new Seat Arona FR Sport? Can you see yourself in one? Annabelle
Nice looking car, currently stuck on whether to go for FR Sport of this or the Kia Stonic GT line S. Can't make a decision. 😓
That’s a tough one, both great engines - good luck 😀

Looks good. I work for ABG UK, we have purchased 230 of these so far this year.
We were impressed Attila 😊

It’s certainly a smart looking machine, thank you Matt
Even in this trim I noticed no front arm rest and no usb sockets in the back? Seems a bit mean really at this price
Yes, it’s strange what’s omitted by manufacturers in this segment, thank you Sammy

Just ordered a grey one of this 😁 collect next week
You’ll love it, we certainly did, great fun, thank you King
Whats the sound system like?I ordered it with Beats system,it's arrived without it.
Once you tune the speakers they are quite loud and clear
Thank you 🙏
How many mpg will it give you around town plz thanks

Would you recommend this or the Suzuki Vitara?
What are you mainly doing, commutes, long hauls etc?

Suzuki would be a more pliable ride than the Arona FR, however the Seat will be a more engaging drive
Get the fr sport150...
We’ve a Formentor first Kwak😀
Overpriced, in my opinion. Too much hard plastic and lack of features against say, a Peugeot 208.

Vag grubu tek gecerim..
Yes. VAG were where it was at, and they aren't doing too badly going forward. We've got a classic Mk2 Golf, and it still turns heads. *A
1.0 litre 3 cylinder engine for an SUV... joke! 🤮
Have you driven one, @argh_666? If not, watch out road trip in this - you will see Ben smoke a Tesla on a B Road.
