thanks Gil,im a die hard associated guy have never bought anything losi, but i respect and admire what you have done for the industry.awesome cars and an awesome legacy.
My first car at 17, 1961 red Chevy 2-door bubble top Impala. Bought it in 1969 for $500. It only had a 283 v8, 3 speed manual on the column, no ac, and worst of all no power steering! I put Mickey Thompson 70 series tires all around with American mags, what a beast to park. Loved that car
Epic 61 it has to be the best one ever made yet. Twin turbo 2000hp lookin like that who does that? that guy☝️ what a beautiful dream Machine. Congratulations sir on your bubble top and thank you for the child memories 🏎 🏃
Im working on a 1961 Impala 4 door hardtop... ALL STOCK... right down to the steel wheels and the full wheel covers... AND ORIGINAL steering wheel.... (thats the BOMB on that car) repaint cost me less than $2000. original golden beige, with beige interior. A few door dinges on the side trim, and the bumpers original chrome is a bit aged. but its perfect. 230 hp 327, alum power glide
In the early '80s I found a '61 Impala SS (Honduras Maroon) all stock and original. It was an early SS and had the 348. The 409 came out mid year. Wish I still had it....
Gil, you have always been my hero! Next time you and I are at a stop sign at San Antonio and 14th St in Upland.....I'm gonna back down. What does Janet think of this one. I know her favorite was once your '60 Ford. Also, you look great in the video....must be Claro's sausage keeping you fit. Gil, God Bless you and Janet, Rich

Exactly right ! I was 11 years old in 1961. My uncle bought a new Impala 4 door sedan, 6 cyl. 3 spd. On the column. Almond beige top, rest of it was fawn beige. I loved that car. He let me drive it on the back roads.
My twine cousin's had two of them the original color tan both brother's car's were the same color one was a darker tan than the other one back in 1983-84 something like that. They had other brother's and they must have had all the impalas at one time or another. They would trade them like they were trading horse's. The youngest brother drive a 1950 Buick I love cruising in that beautiful car he was the second owner.
RC is like crack. He should be thanking the thousands who bought the TLR 22 and other cars that made his trillions. Bad ass 61'. I piece mine together in my garage.
love exterior even though wheels don't look right on it. interior seems way off for the car. could've gone a way better route but oh well I'm sure he likes it.
This remains the most impressive 61 Impala I've ever seen 😂, I love the 62 Impala but this one is tearfully beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
This 61 is amazing! Unreal power you wouldn’t expect.
The 1961 Chevy Impala is the best style design and lines of all the 60s. Love that model, nothing else comes close.
61 is my favorite impala. This is the nicest one I've ever seen. I could sit there with him and look at the car all day long.
